The fleeting and lying world will dump you soon and leave you cold
Hard to explain your loyalty when your eyes are closed
Folly game they play, holding to unconfessed sins to do
Well, a judgment day will end them anyway 
One thing is for sure, evil has no power for sure
Covered by the blood of Christ, sealed by the holy spirit

for giving Himself to us so we can:
Live by His truth 
Learn from His teachings
Love Him midst our thanksgiving
Listen to Him with our trust of triumph
Lean on Him, testifying about His trustworthiness

Galatians 3:21 Praise be to the Saviour for 
redeeming us against: 
Running in vain
Ruining His vessel
Refusing His victory
Rejecting His virtues
Restricting His vision. Amen!

Oppressions optimizing their restraints
Objections ostracizing us in their rebukes
Outcomes overwhelming us with reproofs

Acts 28:15 Praise be to the Lord for 
giving us courage so we can:
Achieve with commitment by His graciousness
Accept challenges through His goodness
Act along character of gratefulness
Avoid carnality that is grievous
Accomplish for Christ’s glory

Acts 28:38 Praise be to the Saviour for 
allowing us to preach His kingdom while: 
Trusting His timeliness
Teaching about His truth
Toiling midst tests and trials
Testifying along His trustworthiness
Treading upon His turf and tarrying in His temple. Amen!

No Sweeter Sound

It is like the rain on a summer day 
Each drop restoring, keeping heat at bay 

If not for this I'd burn in hot sun rays  
Bringing the rainbow, not blue sky to gray 

It is like music, hearing holds you still 
Goosebumps testifying to the thrill  

If I couldn't hear, heart and soul would feel 
this melody like medicine that heals 

It is like magic, spells in each exhale 
wrapping me in arms of love, all is well 

So, let the rain fall cool, let music swell 
Let your magic ring out like chiming bells 

Let me be the reason, it will abound 
For to hear you laugh, there's no sweeter sound

Wounded

Asleep on the bed
your new arms and legs
placed neatly on the chair by your side.
I see your eyes moving rapidly
testifying to the horrors
that are still alive in your head.
How can I tell you
that all that I need came back to me?

I had to find you.
Search the hospitals
and berate the secrecy
that masquerades as comradeship.
That thing that soldiers do.
Why did they hide you from me?
How can I tell you
that all that I need came back to me?

Or, is it that you were hiding?
Your wish not to be found?
Did you think I would not keep
the promises we made each other?
I have you now; you are found
and loved as ever you were.
How can I tell you
that all that I need came back to me?

I cannot imagine your pain
but it shows clearly on your face
I see the anguish; you had plans;
dreams of children yet to be.
What they took from you
does not make you less than a man.
How can I tell you
that all that I need came back to me?

Praise be to God for healing us with His:
Deliverance from sin’s ailment     
Defense above selfishness-affliction 
Dominion over stubbornness’ arrogance 
Decontamination against shame-abomination
Direction toward salvation-assurance and sanctification-affirmation

2Kings 21:22 Praise be to the Lord Who warns us not to 
forsake Him; thus, we should walk in His way that: 
Produces fruitfulness with His blessings
Powers faithfulness by His beckoning brightness
Prevents futility in His blossoming
Props faith upon His Book
Protects fervour through His bravery
 
2Kings 22:19 Praise be to the Saviour for 
teaching us to humble before Him in: 
Trusting His great reign
Triumphing in His gracious revival  
Testifying about His good report  
Telling His glad restoration
Toiling for His grand reward. Amen!

MY BILOCATION PERSPECTIVE

I’m here, but I can be there in the spirit of joy's iridescence---
As my faith brings me to behold your triumphant presence.

I’m here, yet I can reach you from afar
Together, virtually, we watch the star.

I’m here with my body and soul, reading
Then you join me through poetic feeding.

I’m here alone... viewing loveliness of nature
And I’m by your side along technology’s venture.

I’m here fully absorbed with your creativity’s zest
Vicariously, we both experience sublime peace that's blest. 

I’m here in the infirmary vanquishing sickness with its pain
Indeed, praying for you to run the race for championship gain.

I’m here testifying about God’s love and mercy*, so gracious 
While letting you feel the ripples of divine gift that’s precious.

*Ephesians 2:4-5 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved).

Death of a Loved One

Nostalgic of my Mom’s death…
… almost two decades ago…
then of my Dad’s demise---
--- in 2019---
here am I gripped with blest serenity
knowing that they both are with the Creator
by virtue of their faith in the Saviour
Who promised wondrous eternal life
to those that put their trust in Him---
the Way, the Truth, the Life.

Reminiscing those agonizing moments…
here am I thankful to God
for assuaging the afflicting pain
I had to battle with: 
grief, separation-anxiety, loss.

Looking back…
here am I, having moved on
cognizant that death is a reality 
to face with courage
an inevitability to expect midst hope
since it is just a temporal goodbye
along “till we meet again” blissful reunion.

Today…
here am I striving to empathize earnestly
prayerfully sympathizing with the bereaved
testifying that death is a divine milestone
affirming this Scripture’s truth:*
“We are confident, I say, and willing rather 
to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.”

*2Corinthians 5:8

The Vanished Family of Hickory Sticks

A chilled-to-the-bone night in October
During a fog hovering over the hills,
A West Virginia family came up missing
The story still gives neighbors the chills,
Seems their clapboard shack went up
In flames, there was nothing anyone could do.
Six people died in that house, supposedly,
No fragments were found sifting through,
No bones, no hair, not a single remnant
Testifying to the fate of the family of six
Rewards were offered for additional clues
To the vanished family of Hickory Sticks.
No fire would be hot enough to obliterate
All traces of bodies in such a conflagration
One by one the possibilities were discussed,
For years the subject of rapt conversation.
Could they have vanished to another place
After torching their home that awful night?
The strange disappearance was never solved
A memorial was built on the gruesome site.

The Void

I am not scared of the void. 

For I have entered it before, it’s nothing to avoid!

Reality is what I really find haunting. 

Their plans of intervention are mounting. 

This new version of me will never be accepted. 

But I would rather be free even if I’m rejected. 

I feel more numb the more I ascend. 

I wouldn’t even feel guilty testifying against my old friends. 

It’s so strange that none of my intentions stuck…

But I don’t mind, my passion has struck!

They can lock me up, but they can’t take my magic away. 

Despite all I’ve lost, I will never sway.

His Joy

His joy lingers on the morning
Glorious and alive, testifying
To the music of each moment
Playing rhythms of elation
Coloring souls in inspiration

His joy erases all the shadows
Darkness fades into the light
Showering lives with insight
Reflecting life with jubilation
Warming thoughts with grace

His joy rains down through the skies
Destroying illusions of fear and worry
Awakening souls to the beauty
Found on the whispers of imagination
The miracles of giving gentle praises

His joy welcomes the spirit to shine
Abiding in love poured out from above
Washing the nights in twinkling stars
Stirring hearts to the vibrant glow
Dancing in lives where pleasure flows

His joy waltzes through the oak and pine
Promising hopes to bring faith to life
Rousing praise in the depths of the soul
Baptizing lives in a soothing calm
The benefits of knowing His glorious love

His joy vibrates through the spirit of those
Who know He is the answer to every prayer
He is the breathe of kindness and caring
He is the way, the truth and the life…
His joy rises inside those who love Him

Last Sigh

In my heart always lingers Dad’s last sigh
Never in oblivion could I bury
Such upholds my hope for heavenly high
Leaving me with adieu of victory*.

With his legacy of love and faith’s zest
In my heart always lingers Dad’s last sigh
Testifying God’s blessings of great best
Marked by thanksgiving no one can deny.

His infirmities propped my trust to fly
As I begged for miracle health's fullness…
In my heart always lingers Dad’s last sigh
Since divine will is eternal wellness.

Midst reminiscence of fatherhood bliss
Valuing heritage money can’t buy
So that next generation will not miss…
In my heart always lingers Dad’s last sigh.

Wondrous Creator

Beholding shadows of flowers
basking under sun's rays
my heart is enthralled
by supreme beauty 
divine art exudes
verily wondrous.

Since flower shadows by themselves
present a delighting graceful show
swaying freely in black image
my soul is gripped with awe
realizing the great power
of light Source.

Midst magnificent shadows 
floral terraces radiate vibrant hues 
magnifying loveliness of hilly landscape
as jubilant lilies and roses waft sweet redolence
project their appreciation and gratitude for life's goodness
testifying the glory of God: wondrous Creator and perfect Designer.

*Psalm 50:2 Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined.
