Premium MemberOde to my dad on his 74th birthday

Hungarious herbanamed hairchinned humanoid!
This tungstanesk triumph – to some thanatoid…
Mathematicos marvel: mention “nontotiet!”
But Basil-based bullters bothered? Outbleat???

For functioning fully at family functions,
requires restrained raconteurial unctions.
Propensities/properties you outpossess.
injurious idiot’s ill-conceived jest…

No! Never negating nine-tenths of nonplussed,
because Basil-boy, your bingeworthy bust,
should stand sentry in stone for descendants yet born,
And for you to admire, while mowing the lawn.

Ski-Racer Sonnet

Sitting astride a frozen mountainside,
eighty others waiting their turn to go,
on the slope blue and red gates a path scribe,
a man says, “racer ready;” so they know.
An hour passed, now it’s my turn to ski,
explode out of the gate with a kick-start,
frozen ruts are what I find greeting me,
muscles press down to absorb impacts hard,
frantic minute, a forward-moving fight,
the scrape of ice, gates flying past my face,
come faster still, can barely stay upright,
you win or fall, there is no second place.
Cross the line, frustration at the results,
tenths of a second leaves you in the cold.

Premium Member3-6-9 Hors D'Oeuvres

3's a crowd
A triplet,
trio loud

6 is a pair of three's
It's half a dozen eggs
A sextet strums to please
'tis the sixth planet, Saturn
Biggest score thrown on die
Perfect number pattern

3 plus 6, and 3 times 3 is 9
Months mum must wait for bub to be born
Number of lives enjoyed by cat, kind
Pluto's buddy out beyond Neptune
Riding on cloud nine, to the nines dressed
Stitched in time to save nine rags be strewn
In your possession, its nine tenths yours
A cat-o'-nine-tails metes a flogging
There it's done, 3-6-9 hors d'oeuvres

Premium MemberOld

Nine-tenths a century old is my mom
Well over half a century am I.
How quickly we both aged gives me a qualm.
At least my body now can't multiply!

And right behind my mom I'm following . . .
The white hairs keep appearing. It's with dread
I picture myself one day swallowing
my food with dentures stuck inside my head.

Mom scrubbed floors on her knees.(much UNLIKE me).
Her knees gave out; perhaps mine will stay good?
She's got no bad diseases, luckily.
I pray I'll age as gracefully . . . knock wood!

False Claim

Demanding possession…

Driver of Victory

Simon says: Thirteen’s my lucky number.
Thirteen years ago, I took dad’s money
and bargained with Time to make my name known.
Fate nudged its elbow into my circuit.

Penske luck and talent helped carry me.
I have had the best mentors in the world
who helped me master the intricacies
of maneuvering oval victories.

Last Sunday, no one wanted that wreath more,
the milk had my name on it from the start.
My best chance to kiss the bricks in Indy,
gotta get in rhythm, driving success.

Thirteen laps to go; green lights on again,
Alex and I changed the lead five more times.
Two tenths of a second, first 'cross the line;
Simon Pagenaud wins the Five Hundred.

If thirteen more (or less) inches had been on the track?
Would that have doubled my win time (half-a-second) or
would Alexander Rossi have taken the title?
No, Fate and Time got it right - drivers of victory.

Roadside Monument

every song, every line scrawled,
of poetry and of prose,
rasps at this open wound,
and calls back your absence,
like a disturbed spirit summoned,
to possess old familiar haunts,
these scrapes and slashes teach,
my senses what is refined,
and show that I’ve lost,
that which was never mine,
nine tenths of the law,
were to another already licensed

then need we flagellate so,
need we be so transfixed,
I won't accept just being,
an expense in your ledger,
a tariff paid to affection,
with no hope of dividend,
leaves and love have fallen,
blood red by the roadside,
what is life but death,
that has gone to seed

need we be so transfixed,
what is life but death,
that has gone to seed,
blood red by the roadside,
outside of the city gates

Ten percent

Go my love, become the Earth
Do not fear this second birth
Rest not alone, my word is true
The best of me shall lie with you

I lived a life, so long alone
Until I put you in my phone
Only then, I became whole
Found the value of my soul

For you, I’ll ever grateful be
Not just the better half of me
Took no time for me to see
You were at least nine tenths of me

I the agent, you the star
One tiny part of who you are
For you to me were heaven sent
I thank you for my ten per cent

So, go now, Love, become the Earth
Do not fear this second birth
Rest not alone, my word is true
The best of me resides in you

Premium MemberA Buggy World, a 'Buggy' Life

Possession's nine-tenths of "the law,"
Is what some pundits say
Implying "weak" own nothing real
And brute "strength" wins the day.

But if one looks at "biomass,"
It's insects that have won,
For ALL Earth's mammals are outweighed!
My, logic can be fun!

And insect's also might survive
Our next atomic war,
Intelligence, a passing phase,
Man, "ugly" carnivore.

Is "buggiest" the human race,
"God's image" just a joke?
(Or does God foul His own nest too?)
Depends on what you smoke!

The Rot Child Family

I have to tell you that this is fiction
Or else I'd get a conviction.
A family of evil with cold dead hearts
No one can trace where their family starts.
For at least a 100 years they been pulling the strings
They're not human, only cold dead things.
With more wealth than the rest of us combined
Heads of the KGC I think you'll find.
They're trying to claim the planet, they're trying to steal the crown.
Nine tenths of the people they plan to drown.
They've dimmed the light and tried making it dark
You'll be dead if you don't wear the beasts mark.

War, poverty and hunger can be layed at their door
Nearly a bank in every country, just a few more.
Slavery never ended, we're all under monies cane
They killed Lincoln because he new their game.
War criminals, murderers and sick peadophiles
Jake doesn't care who he defiles.

The truth is there for you to see with your own eyes
Don't believe government or media lies.
To this family they all pay a toll
Its the Rotchilds that's in control.
With a two party system freedom is your illusion
You're just another battery stuck in their confusion

Trust

Trust

Trust to me is nine tenths of love;
So if you want me to love you, then have to earn my trust.

If you are good enough for me and I can make you complete;
Then maybe you and I shall become like Romeo and Juliet…

Should have been, living together in harmony
And fit together as one, like a perfected rubix cube
And happily remain, as two halves of one love.

Have You Ever Seen a Commie Drink a Glass of Water

Vodka
That is what they drink
never water
on no account will a Commie ever drink water
and not without good reason
water that's what I'm getting at
water is the source of all life
seven tenths of this Earth's surface is water
why do you realize that 70 percent of you is water
as human beings you and I
need fresh pure water to replenish our precious bodily fluids.
are you beginning to understand

That’s why I drink only distilled water
rainwater
or pure-grain alcohol

Have you ever heard of a thing called fluoridation
do you realize that fluoridation is the most monstrously conceived
the most and dangerous Communist plot we have ever had to face

This Future

Like spindled glass,

remnants filter in timeless twine,

Peaceful moments - retrieve the silence,

Like new velvet stockings, ladders await.

Time itself fraught, with abandon abate...

Yet nestled high, marooned with intrigue,

Time still time, in search origin with trace.

Times silky sands neath craggy rocks,

every rain drop accounted?

every snowflake free?

remnants filter in timeless twine,

Time retires countless moments,

With our memoirs we agree to disagree.

We selvedge our past tenths,

The lucrative lessons we behold,

Our well worn velvet stockings,

few ladders some bereft,

This future has unfold,

remnants filter in timeless twine,

Time retires countless moments...

Time retires Time...
