My only dearie!
In you, I live my world so sweet.
Even the mirrors can't hide your beauty,
In my heart your love grows like planted seeds.
Happiness is what is seen in your mirror.
Even if your love keeps making my eyes shy,
I can never again decline.
Your love will just be my sole attraction.
To your heart I plead, be in my kingdom,
My heart has a space for your reign.
Each of the ten lines was from my following ten poems, with lines where each of them was originally written in brackets:
Line 1: 'Your vase filled my vase with love' (Line 52)
Line 2: 'Even a bit of you attracts' (Line 13)
Line 3: 'Allow wines to jailbreak' (Line 7)
Line 4: 'I am thankful for your care' (Line 8)
Line 5: 'Beauty perches on your face' (Line 11)
Line 6: 'Only your love I chose' (Line 10)
Line 7: 'I can never again decline' (Line 13)
Line 8: 'My kiss whispers love on your lips' (line7)
Line 9: 'The voice of love (Line 6)
Line 10: 'Even a bit of you attracts' (Line 19)
I've always had the sneaking suspicion I'd never grow old.
I'm decaying prematurely,
slowly rotting in my core with every mind-numbing day.
"Why must every good thing get ruined?"
Home is no longer where happy is.
So why have you staked your claim on my psyche?
Cold blue tile is the foundation from which two children build their world.
I can discern from it nothing but terrifying probabilities.
Everything has an end.
Here we are timeless.

The entrance of Spring, seasons well the vibrancy of greens evolving greener.
Age was hers and time was ours,
Love is the verbs blossom as roses scented reserve suite line composes,
Time marks a question measured to wrangle,
Gemmed Ivory and Ebony, host o'er our bejeweled Pearl.
Ships neither sink nor swim in tranquil Springs
Seas calmness...falsely trains expert yachtsmen,
Lost lamb hopes his roll's called up yonder ... as his last words read ...
Words that stem from the heart seldom a mind,
Good hopes and goodwill--righteousness succeeds,

your smile entranced me
as a spontaneous moment alights
to a rapport on first sight
in our daily stroll,our
words became a promise

soft sensuous lips,seek
in whispered words of love

Ten Lines of Poetry
by jon gutmacher (for a contest requiring no more than ten lines)
Ten lines of poetry
to die if you must
pick up a pen
don’t make a fuss
I didn’t join this site
to fight with a sword
but I entered this contest
because I was bored
Live by it
or die by it
Born to the best mom on this beautiful mother earth
I was little luckier then the rest
Simply successful school life
Followed by flourishing fun at college
Getting married to my mate from childhood
Filled my life with love and merriment
Working as a teacher who is favorite of all
Mother to two daughters who are now not too small
My story might seem like a joyride
But trust me, it was full of jolts and jerks

raised protestant and to be a good girl
high school came, peer pressure, virgin no more with high school sweetheart
college life, hell raiser, free spirit
living life on the edge, drugs, drinking escaped to Florida
city life, hard working, baby to raise
moved to Indiana, marriage, son and heartbreak of adoption
Ohio home sweet home hoping for better luck and happiness
daughter in school, new husband, new start, baby boy on way
home owner, good job, writing like crazy!
TEN LINES - FIVE WORDS
Your smile is so bright
It lights up my night
The radiance of your face
Causes my heart to race
Your kisses are like honey
They make my life sunny
You're one of a kind
You make my life shine
God made you so divine
And I'm glad you're mine

I enjoyed my young years crafting poems and art.
At eighteen, I then married the love of my heart.
By my age twenty-four, was a mother of three.
Later, painting with oils was the pastime for me.
Finished college mid-forties with English BA;
as my poetry flourished- put paintings away.
A proud grandma of five- of those married, are two-
a sweet great-grandchild recently made her debut.
Now retired, sold our business- but still on the go;
I'm so blessed with my life, riding each ebb and flow.

Deja Vu; I believe that's what knowing minds call this anomaly.
Another Baroque tinged ballroom boasting bona fide blue-bloods.
Poorly feigned elan for the singing dilettante causing the cacophony.
The ennui in the room due, I'm sure, to the
artistic Carte Blanche given the chirping dud.
It's time someone demonstrate "avant-garde;" give them an actual reason for the sneers.
So on my way out I'll loose this brassiere and with a toss add some "bulbs" to the chandelier!

(It's 10 lines on my tablet :D)
Assigned words:
Anomaly, Avant-garde, Baroque, Bona fide, Cacophony, Carte Blanche, Deja Vu, Dilettante, Elan, Ennui
Anomaly don't enter contests like this
the style is a bit avant-garde,
I'm a bit of an oldie, preferring baroque
and finding this bona fide hard.
The cacophony of words dancing round in my head,
carte blanche to use this ten word list,
this is my third attempt, seems a bit deja-vu
but my dilettante side can't resist.
Not sure if I can do this write with elan
but hey-ho, ennui go.

Ten words ten lines 2-Big Surf Competition
After a long ennui of big wave competitions
surfers take to Oahu's North Shore "to go for baroque."
For these bonafide big wave riders hanging ten
is party time, cake frosted with elan and deju vu.
Waves peaking it's face into the eyes of the brave,
with carte blanche of fifty footers, part of the sugar.
All eye candy are on the Hawaiians, lipping alley-opps on the curls,
showcasing avante-garde to the diletttante's and spectators.
As waves keep pounding the shore to the cacophony of applause,
to tats, tongs and tans, big wave riders take to this anomaly waving.

Grandmother Always Encouraged
As I stood in front of the baroque painting
"Old Woman and a Boy with Candles", by Sir Peter Paul Rubens
instantly trigger a warped déjà vu.
An ebullient cacophony of absent voices I used to have with my grandmother.
She would give me carte blanche around her home.
It was an embarrassing anomaly I couldn't explain to my aunts.
By their standards I was a bona fide dilettante and ennui .
Grandmother always encouraged me in the creative avant-garde of arts
by using my imagination and a strong sense of élan
fantasy throughout my muse that I love.

TEN WORDS, TEN LINES 2
She possessed a baroque sense of the love of music
Her avant-garde anomaly led to a cacophony of laughter
Her misconceived dilettante for this great art
Was put forth with great aplomb
Truly an elan display producing an ennui of de ja vu
Predicated on her previous display of the art
Though she thought it a bona fide display of great talent
And that she deserved carte blanche freedom in displaying it
She was soon laughed off the stage as a complete buffoon
For the degradation of the wonderful art of music

DEFINING LIFE
~~~~~~~~~
Anomaly... abnormalities that can and... do confound us all...
Avant-garde... new words... alive with meaning prance across the page...
Baroque... words... can they but allude to that amazing style... if at all...
Bona fide... from my pen the truth oft flows... to calm world rage...
Cacophony... words can explode the hidden silence... exposing all...
Carte blanche... there is one who thinks he has that right... he is no sage...
Deja vu... if only... back to a life where happiness was a joy... a ball for all...
Dilettante... rulers who think they know how to... their eyes a glaze...
Elan... a writers... poets trait... a determination to write... it is in them all...
Ennui... who would choose a life to laze... yet seems ennui is now a new phase...
