the plane ascended.
i yelled it.
this straw in the wind; fly fly fly
i felt it was a necessary affectation
to ensure a safer flight
or rather a calmer form of passenger
bring out the java
i want to ride the bean
we soar, slope upward
i greet the turbulence
with grit
i summon over a flight-attendant and
offer to help up there with the pilot
she politely turns down my offer
and the choppiness subsides
but i still want a role
give me valiantness, worthiness, nobility
and astropolitics
we thank the crew as we disembark
i look into the flight attendant's helium-3 eyes
'when men are arrived at the goal, they should
not turn back.'
i was stopped at immigration for four hours

Alone make your way and take off,
Clear all thorns away and take off.
Despite weeds, the unwanted all,
Mind not the jagged clay and take off.
Few steps, and head-wind would lift you,
Wait for no fair day and take off.
Be heedless, let the hurdles lie,
Your own milestone lay and take off.
Wait for holding no friendly hand,
Let fears fall on way and take off.

I’m totally transfixed
I hold my breath
Tiny fledgling spreads its wings
Twittering parents are watching anxiously
will baby bird fly
I’m totally transfixed
My neighbour’s cat
Is prowling, ready to pounce
I hold my breath
Mother squawks loudly
Danger is now averted
Tiny fledgling spreads its wings

"The Take Off"
That feeling
when the plane
speeds down the runway
and lifts up
you know …
how it feels;
left the jungle
with the forest
to work it all out
amongst themselves
somewhere in
the lower atmosphere
wings spread
ruffling their feathers
for take off
undressing the addressing
garments and heavy baggage
no longer required
in the thermosphere
that place way above
the camouflaged
claustrophobic
muggy troposphere
you know ...
sans cloak,
naked masks are us;
is it hot in here, or what?

Sometimes life is not what it seems to be
I could have said it myself
As I land may my feet be grounded
A journey has begun yet again
Embrace me with open arms
As the happiness is in the heart
I tell you
Sometimes a path is not what it seems to be
I could have gone back
As I reflect on those memories?may the lessons learnt produce wisdom
An expansion of knowledge
Honour me with my achievements
As the experience has been established
I tell you
Sometimes love is not what it seems to be
I could have known
As I smile may my heart be full of love
A formulation of souls have been created
Bless me with a kiss
As happiness has come yet again
I tell you

My beautiful golden butterfly
You go dancing from flower to flower
Then you take off to the big blue sky
Your tiny wings have so much power

"Take Off"
I used to feel, now l deal.
Thought l was healed until they broke my shield.
Forget the thrills, not to mention the spills, we need to pay the bills,
Hidden faces on the hills,
My confession sealed.
You see we need to learn to chill before we kill!
Not your brother , father, mother or sister.
Repeat goodness inorder to defeat voodoness.
My speech and prayer till l am no more.
No intimidation, no initiation, no limitations,
Expectations like preceptation,
This is a moment of elevation!

Take off your pharaoh’s mask, stay awhile.
Be not uppity for it does not suit you.
I like honesty,
For who does not?
Throw off your walls – the little ones and the bigs.
Toss them aside, for they will do you no good here.
Conversation is real.
I am your listener.
What chains of madness has wrapped your tongue?
How long has it been since you felt your bliss or
Understood what your heart wants?
Sarcasm and off putting behavior will do you no good.
I am an expert at helping your inner child
Find her way out, moving toward the light
Of her own soul’s opportunities.
And who does not want that?
Truthfully?

Take Off Those Shoes You Have on For the Ground You Walk On is Holy Ground--
As I come into the presents of the Holy land;
I am reminded of wench I came;
Purest is every grain of soil;
This dirt in which we'd stand;
God has said to us..trust
As you walk
Stop and take off
Take off those shoes you have on for the ground you walk
You walk on is Holy Ground
As I come before the house of God;
At I look upon the doorway;
My hand grasp and turns the knob;
In a thunderous voice My Lord said
Stop Keep thy foot when thou go into the house of God
Put off thy shoes from thy feet: for the place where you stand is holy ground.
As I come into the presents of the Holy land;
Men rage in battles, they have plans;
I am reminded of wench I came;
Purest is every grain of soil and clay water's drain;
This dirt in which I stand in the presents of the Holy One;
God has said to us..trust
As you walk
Stop and take off
Take off those shoes you have on for the ground you walk
You walk on is Holy Ground

Walk the yard with care
For you will see I fear
What the doggies have done
Covering the yard with dung
Scoop poop into a bag
My life has become sad
To keep feet clean
Beware the little presents unseen
Tiny little logs
Churned out by happy dogs
They eat and eat
And go and go
How so much from just two
Little factories producing poo
But they love me true
Chase away the blues
Watch my home with pride
Their devotion can not be denied
So it is something we can do
Before entering the house
take off your shoes.

We all have issues in this life none of us is perfect. There will always be someone better then you in this life. But you can be the best you can be in the mean time. See positive reiforcement strengthens the heart. Good things should be told to each other to keep each other solid. A living breathing human being is what we are with real feelings. Some of us are dessensitized to this very notion of thought. Afraid to express their true emotions. Instead they harbor under a false hidden garb of compromise. Let us return to the fundamental basics of love that truly made this country great. Stop being something your not. We each wear masks that are easily taken off from time to time. Just be yourself people can tell is your lying or not. Most importantly God knows the real you the one deep down inside that people try to hide away from society. Be people of positivity ask for the favor of almighty God & share with each other his mighty love. Amen

I-s beginning to

B-eacon above the horizon
E-liminates the night;
N-ew dawn early Friday
I-s setting things aright.
T-ime to board the plane, the wait is just enough;
O-bey the stewardess' counsel, a few minutes before take off.

Take off your Mask
Sophie Boswell
What do you live for? Was a question put to me
By a gentle loving person, who aimed to set me free
I couldn’t answer his question, thirty years ago
So I moved in the wrong direction, not knowing where to go
I was born to be an artist; to love creativity
But this bothered others, who wouldn’t let me be
People-pleaser, then, was my main aim
While seeking out pleasure, and shying away from pain
What a silly way to live - putting on a mask
Such a waste of time and such a tiresome task
Some lessons come slow; some come fast
But one lesson worth learning is not to live in the past.

Take Off a Load
When from feet want to take a load
Must be bright and break the code
Go ahead and sit in nice, new chair
Your poems together do compare.
Me Again,
