Best Take Off Poems
Take off your pharaoh’s mask, stay awhile.
Be not uppity for it does not suit you.
I like honesty,
For who does not?
Throw off your walls – the little ones and the bigs.
Toss them aside, for they will do you no good here.
Conversation is real.
I am your listener.
What chains of madness has wrapped your tongue?
How long has it been since you felt your bliss or
Understood what your heart wants?
Sarcasm and off putting behavior will do you no good.
I am an expert at helping your inner child
Find her way out, moving toward the light
Of her own soul’s opportunities.
And who does not want that?
Truthfully?
"The Take Off"
That feeling
when the plane
speeds down the runway
and lifts up
you know …
how it feels;
left the jungle
with the forest
to work it all out
amongst themselves
somewhere in
the lower atmosphere
wings spread
ruffling their feathers
for take off
undressing the addressing
garments and heavy baggage
no longer required
in the thermosphere
that place way above
the camouflaged
claustrophobic
muggy troposphere
you know ...
sans cloak,
naked masks are us;
is it hot in here, or what?

Take off the mask and be yourself:
Be honest; be true and strong.
Stop trying so hard to fit in a crowd where you really don't belong.
Don't side-step your calling
To HIM, you should only remain true
Don't push HIM aside because you need HIM as Guide in all that you think, say
and do.
He is the only One who does possess the Power to the success you are looking
for.
So take off the mask; simply be yourself; accept His plans for you.
Rekindle His Love through repentance, prayer and faith within your heart-
And true success will scoop you up and elevate you high;
And wealth will be yours unendlessly with love; with peace you can not deny.
I’m totally transfixed
I hold my breath
Tiny fledgling spreads its wings
Twittering parents are watching anxiously
will baby bird fly
I’m totally transfixed
My neighbour’s cat
Is prowling, ready to pounce
I hold my breath
Mother squawks loudly
Danger is now averted
Tiny fledgling spreads its wings

Take off your Mask
Sophie Boswell
What do you live for? Was a question put to me
By a gentle loving person, who aimed to set me free
I couldn’t answer his question, thirty years ago
So I moved in the wrong direction, not knowing where to go
I was born to be an artist; to love creativity
But this bothered others, who wouldn’t let me be
People-pleaser, then, was my main aim
While seeking out pleasure, and shying away from pain
What a silly way to live - putting on a mask
Such a waste of time and such a tiresome task
Some lessons come slow; some come fast
But one lesson worth learning is not to live in the past.

You take the words out my mouth,
I'm tripping on my tongue
In circles.
I'm getting dizzy,
And I'm all caught up
On your love; it's lethal.
Oh I,
Am a sucker for blue eyes and grinning teeth.
Can you unstick your lips?
I want to hear beneath.
Take off your dress.
I want to feel your skin,
I want to begin to see
Beneath it.
Take off your dress.
I'm a little curious,
I'm new at this,
Can't you tell.
You take the air out my lungs,
I'm choking on my tongue
I'm purple.
Oh you're a bad broke bandit
Stealing my love,
Like tax from the people.
And I,
Am a sucker for
Good lies through grinning teeth.
Can you unstick your lips?
I wanna hear beneath.
Take off your dress.
I wanna feel your skin,
I want to begin
To see beneath it.
Take off your dress.
Take off your dress.
out my window
blades spinning faster
up up and away
James take off my dress
Lady Brooks summoned her butler to her bedroom,
James arrived, she said “You know why you are here I assume.
Take off my dress and do it with care,
It cost a lot of money so do not tear.
Take off my bra and stockings too,
James diligently did what he was told to do.
Take off my knickers, I know you have done that before.
If I catch you wearing my clothes again I will personally kick you out of the front door”

The right direction
The quiet calm respectable lady walked into the chemists,
Said “I wish to buy some cyanide, only the strongest I insist.
The chemist replied” Why do you want to buy cyanide,
Anyway without a prescription your request is denied”
Tell me why you this poison you need,
Maybe I can an alternative advise if you will heed”
The lady said” I want to kill my husband stone dead,
I caught him in another woman’s bed”
She produced a picture of her husband in bed with the chemist’s wife,
They both seemed to be having the time of their life.
The chemist said “Now you have pointed me in the right direction,
You have produced the all important prescription.”

He did not know.
Two men sat in the pub having a chat,
About a little of this, a little of that.
One said to the other” I had sex with my wife
before were wed, did you?”
The other man replied” Tell me her maiden name, other wise I haven’t a clue.”
TAKE OFF
Outside the windows grass swathes rotate: we sway
Up and down the dozenth wide runway
To reach the final launch-point for our sally.
Engines whine up and down till finally
Pilot gives power and our necks are pushing
Back into the headrest cushion.
The wheels rumble disconcertingly now,
But the wing tilts up by magic - wow!
Forget your mastery of lift and drag, it’s a mystery:
Rumble ceases, ground drops away quickly.
Immersed in fingers of foggy cloud,
Like an immense cold shroud -
Flying blind, ever up, till we emerge
And blend into the brightness and we feel a surge
Of turbulence reassure us that wings,
Despite their toughness, are flexible things.
Tip to port, we see ground small and slight;
Tip to starboard, now the sky dazzling bright.
Level off, we breathe easier, belts undone:
We start cruising in the sun.
grotesque thoughts
rumble up the attics of my grey cells
heaving and sighing in prank
they spring, jump and began to stank
she was my co-mate in the episode
and had the infection same
both got in the act
and twisted the facts
victim was hapless like a bird in snare
she cried and nostrils flared
her urges ripened
and she yearned for that face
that had loved her dear
with those handsome lines
she looked at the twisted tale again
tears began in rain
he could not strand her thus
and take off in another city bus.
As I open the door,
The smiles in your face
Makes me throw my bag to the floor
As you move straight to take off my lace.
As I sit to rest,
You overcome my tiredness
By playing your hands closer to my chest
You take off my heart from its sinfulness
As you unbuckle my tie
I hurriedly take off the first button
Your innocent face does not make me shy
With respect and lust, you unknowingly take off your Acton
As I desirable bring mine
You share with me by bringing yours
Love, faith and hope can be continued in our love line
And out of generosity, we make ours.
My beautiful golden butterfly
You go dancing from flower to flower
Then you take off to the big blue sky
Your tiny wings have so much power

Take Off a Load
When from feet want to take a load
Must be bright and break the code
Go ahead and sit in nice, new chair
Your poems together do compare.
