Premium Member TAKE A CHANCE who do you see

a happening of mine to which I added an outline

NOTE: THE ABOVE IS A RECENT CHANCE ARTWORK OF MINE - created purely by a chance happening to which I added an outline to show a face

Take a chance

Did you roll the dice
Knowing it was your vice
For to take a chance
It had some romance

So did you go for it
Confident that you had the fit
So in the end you just smiled
No sense now to be in denial.

Take a chance and enter silence
Hold still on sacred ground
Resting flow of thought violence
Let throb of bliss astound

Within our heart, dwells God
Tip toe therein unshod
Wonderstruck soul is awed

To advance
Take a chance

Could You Take a Chance

COULD YOU TAKE A CHANCE?

If you would take a chance on me
And trust me to be true to you,
I’d never let you down you’d see.
If you would take a chance on me
My love would always constant be.
I’d never look for pastures new
If you would take a chance on me
And trust me to be true to you,

To know who we are, plunge into the void
Take the chance dear soul, trusting God alone
For too long we’ve been by false pride decoyed
To know who we are, plunge into the void
In time stretched stillness, desires are destroyed
We’re living light, not its shadowy clone
To know who we are, plunge into the void
Take the chance dear soul, trusting God alone

Premium Member Take a Chance He Said

Take a chance the new employee said; the entire room laughed.
She is the Evel Knievel of our company, someone informed him.
As a newcomer, he was arrogant and a tad bit mean.
He never got to meet the real me, so he never knew.

I take a chance every opportunity that comes my way.
I am the one who invests in the craziest things imaginable.
I stick my neck out, daring the guillotine to come down.
If he had not been so pompous, he might have gotten to know me.

But he was a misogamist, and I have no room for these people.
So I did not get to know him and he did not get to know me.
He is really great once you get to know him, someone told me.
Additional proof that she is the worst judge of character I know.

DARE AND TAKE A CHANCE

A few years ago, I could hardly wait to retire and just relax and get away
from the hustle and bustle of a hectic, flustering, demanding state job.
However, my mind that runs a hundred miles an hour would not let me
relax to challenge myself, gain more knowledge, be creative for life is a
daring adventure and creating yourself and in doing so dare to live your life
at it’s fullest and take a chance to create your own happiness for it is a choice.

Premium Member Take a Chance and Live

Your goodliness and Godliness parades around in my head
and makes me scoff.
I used to be that way too but the devil came by with her enticing ways.
She had such a convincing spiel, I followed her gladly.
Understanding now that the sinner part of me is more fun than not.

Do you want to be stagnant? Stale? Left in the dirt?
An old maid or worse?
Your prissy ways and persnickety attitude
is going to cause you to petrify.
You will never experience the little death if you remain on this track.
Come play with me, hear the pipes? Frolic and dance; the time is ripe.

You deserve to live; eat from the fatted calf, drink some red wine.
Stop standing in the mirror of others, nurture your wanton side.
Lust and love, that’s all there is baby, and money and greed.
Let yourself have a taste of the life you crave, the good life.

They who pressure you into purity are jealous of your youth.
They want you to become moldy, green, yesterday’s bread.
Do not waste your talents, your hunger is vast
You are voluptuous, adventuresome. Taste some life my friend!
Let me help you by leading the way.....

Premium Member Is It Not Time To Take a Chance

kismet came to me in the form of a guttersnipe
I could not hate it
nor did I want to

what is it you are after? I asked.
The guttersnipe laughed.
Are you so tainted that you do not recognize a friend?

I felt ashamed.
It had been a long time since I had a friend.
At least ten years.

I do not want to be hurt, I told her.
Your walls are high, she admitted
But isn’t it time you took a chance?

And so I did.
And she hurt me.
And I began calling her mean names.

And now I am alone again
Building a thicker wall
Taller with spikes
around my heart.

Oak wears green taffeta
Dancing in March's brisk breeze
Sometimes shakes ill at ease
Are oaks in Africa?
Looking at Aquila?
An affair with Altair gee !

Oak dances with redbud
Changes partners with speed
Forsythia now is freed
When she see this wild dud
A philanderer, stud.
Tulip puts on brown tweed

No need for spring's light clothes
In the midst of her throes

Take a Chance

Take a Chance on Lucky Lane
Yet the Road You'll Pave is Clear
Next to Do or Die there's Found
For the Show of No Go Around

Take a Break like it's Recess
The class has "Catch Up Time"
But the Bully has a Big Black Eye
And say hey "That Kids Not Mine!"

Take a trip to "Way Back Then"
The Girl and Boy Don't Have a Care
Just an Each Our Own, No One Else
For a Day of Truth's with No Dare

The Page is a Path for the Exits
But the Deal's not in a Dream
There's Always in Nowhere Else
With No Rainbows on the Scene

Down Lucky Lane there's
The "Haves" and "Nots"
It's a Ride that has No Strife
Yet the Dead End Street
You'll find You're On is
Not a Highway for a Life

Take a Chance

How often do you regret,
Questioning what you suspect

To be an opportunity missed,
Wanting to do over, you wish

Another chance,
To improve your circumstance

Please let me try,
I won’t let this one go by

Without fear,
It’s perfectly clear

With fear,
Success is no where near

So why do we hesitate,
Is it cautiously to investigate

To insure we don’t fail,
And end trapped on the regret trail

Maybe you’ve used the “timings not right”,
But really you would like

To abandon all care to the wind,
For your hopes you have pinned

On a new plan or adventure,
Opportunities now with its tenure

You never know which moment will change your life,
Or the opportunity that comes around just right

But everyday you have that chance,
That person in you, to enhance

So others see,
The real me

Living without regrets,
Taking all I can get

That I want and believe,
Will only improve me.

Should I Take a Chance

there would be too much
anguish in just one touch-
for in loving him,
my heart would ache…
            a slight chance to take

he would brisk my arm
and i would sigh-
gaze into my eyes as if
i was the most beautiful
woman he had ever seen
(prancing in fields of emerald green)

i left bereft that day in early may-
ceased my yearning to be near
an honorable man
               -the ONLY man for me-

but there would be too much
anguish in just one touch…

adoration reveals tribulation-
my soul forsaken in a chance taken
