LETTER TO MY FUTURE SELF

Hello there, sweet Lady Jane,

So, it is three weeks before you turn seventy,
do you think you can honestly tell you found
your peace of mind, contentment, happiness?
Or are you still searching for answers to the
things you never understand and wondering
the what ifs, when you damn know there would
be no answers, no explanations, no clarifications.

Your children are giving you a party and all your
grandchildren will be there to celebrate you.
Do they make you proud for what they become?
Or do you still think you did not spend enough time
with them when you cannot turn back time or do
you still worry and wish something better for them?
All your siblings with their spouses, children and
grandchildren will join your family in celebrating
you reaching a major milestone, are you excited?
Or do you still feel like an outsider for your
mother, their mother treated you differently.

I know your life did not turn to be what you wanted,
as your life journey put you through many adversities
including sorrow and pain that you turned out to be
what you are meant to be, a strong willed woman.
You learned to let go the shadows that haunted you
and you accepted and embraced what life threw at you
becoming appreciative and thankful with your blessings.

In the past, you were asked many times what your plans
were for the next five years? ten years? for the future?
You had so many for you couldn’t get no satisfaction.
Now, you just whisper let it be, the words of wisdom.

Your dreams never materialized; but they never left you.
So at this time in your life you think you are never too old
to dream or create new ones by reinventing yourself.
You dare to live your life at its fullest and take a chance
to create your own happiness for it is a decision, a choice.

So, my sweet Lady Jane, it is nice to see you not worrying
about the future; but dancing and rocking to rock and roll
music, living like Ruby Tuesday, you come and go and
change every new day and you just imagine, living for today.
Ahhhh……..

Encourage

"ENCOURAGE"
                                    YES, I CAN...

THE FEELINGS IN HEART, THE THOUGHTS IN MIND,
MAKE ME LOW AND DULL EVERY TIME.
FOR YEARS I HAVE BEEN TRYING,
I HAVE BEEN CONSOLING MYSELF
I HOPE FOR THE BEST...

EVERY TIME I TRY,I DO THE BEST I CAN,
I TAKE A CHANCE,I THINK I CAN WIN...
BUT,I MEET WITH FAILURE AT EVERY STEP,
I REALIZE, I HAVE TO STILL TRY AND DREAM
I HAVE TO HOPE...

THE HEART CRIES ON FAILING EVERY TIME,
THE MIND GETS BLOCKED WITH WEIRD THOUGHTS,
I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT TO DO
I DO NOT KNOW WHERE TO GO...

EVERYTHING SEEMS NULL AND DARK,
THERE SEEMS NO WAY TO MOVE ON
THERE'S NO PATH TO FOLLOW.

WITH A HEAVY HEART AND A NUMB MIND,
I LIVE,I SURVIVE
I KNOW THERE'S NO ONE FOR ME,
THERE'S NO ONE TO CHEER ME UP...

I KNOW, FOR ME,ONLY I AM THERE,
I KNOW ,NO ONE WILL UNDERSTAND, WHAT I GO THROUGH,
I DO NOT EXPRESS MY FEELINGS AND SORROWS,
I DO NOT SHOW MY THOUGHTS...

THERE IS NO ONE TO HELP ME,
I HAVE TO HELP MYSELF, ALONE
I NEED TO ENCOURAGE MYSELF
I DO THAT EVERY TIME...

I MAKE MYSELF FEEL BETTER,
I HELP MYSELF TO DREAM AGAIN,
I HELP MYSELF TO HOPE ONCE MORE,
UNTIL, AGAIN I LOSE AND FAIL...

LIFE IS A BATTLE,
NOTHING IS SIMPLE AND STRAIGHT,
LUCKY ARE THOSE WHO WIN,
UNFORTUNATE ARE THOSE,WHO STRUGGLE AND WAIT...

I AM THE ONE,WITH THE ILL FATE,
I HAVE ONLY TEARS, FOR ME
SORROWS ARE MY FRIENDS,
THAT'S THE GIFT OF LIFE...

BUT,I STILL ENCOURAGE MYSELF,
I STILL HOPE,I CAN ACHIEVE,
I CAN DO AND TRY...

WITH EVERY ODDS,I HAVE TO TRY,
I HAVE TO STAND,I HAVE TO HOPE,
ONCE AGAIN,I HAVE TO MOVE...

I NEED THE STRENGTH, I NEED THE COURAGE,
I KNOW,I AM THE ONE ,WHO HAS TO ENCOURAGE...
AFTER A SERIES OF FAILURES IN LIFE,
AGAIN I HAVE TO STAND AND SMILE
I HAVE TO ENCOURAGE...

I HAVE TO BE CONFIDENT
TO DO MY BEST, TO TRY MY LUCK,
I HAVE TO DREAM, I HAVE TO WORK
MYSELF,...I DO, ENCOURAGE...

ALL I NEED TO EXIST,
ALL I NEED TO BELIEVE,
ALL I NEED TO BE BETTER...
IS TO, ALWAYS ENCOURAGE...

I HAVE TO SMILE,I HAVE TO DREAM,
TILL THE SKY IS THERE,
TILL THE FLOWERS BLOOM,
TILL THE STARS SHINE,
TILL THE WATER FLOWS..

I HAVE TO TRY,I HAVE TO BE PATIENT,
I HAVE TO THINK, YES,I CAN...
I HAVE TO BELIEVE EVER AGAIN
AND ONCE AGAIN...,JUST ENCOURAGE...

It's In the Air

I use to lay down
And dream
About all kind of things
About loving and laughter
Living Happily ever after
Seems like a fairytale
We living
We on top
Like a ceiling (like a ceiling)
Caught up in our feelings
We make the perfect match
That's a fact
Love is where it's at(it's at)
Let's make this a little clearer
I want to be drawn to you
Want to be nearer

We like each other
Its clear to see
I Want you
And you want me
Lets work it out
See where it goes
Take this chance
Who knows
Its time for you to show
How much you care
The love is in the air

Late night convos
That last for hours
At a time
Hey how was your day
Its going just fine
Calling me just because
Lets me know im thought of
The smallest things you do
Are the ones that count
I love you
With every ounce
Every ounce of me
Now I know the best things are free
If you told me
This is how it feels
When you know the Love is real
Its amazing
And its feel great
To know that they appreciate
Everything whether big or small
My love is worthy
And to you I give my all
What we built
No one can break
The feelings we feel for each other
No one can take

We like each other
Its clear to see
I Want you
And you want me
Lets work it out
See where it goes
Take this chance
Who knows
Its time for you to show
How much you care
The love is in the air

You like me
I like you
What are we to do
Sit down a have a heart to heart
Beginning of a brand new start(yeaaahhh)
Learning from one another
The perfect illustration to a new cover
Now that's hot
And special
We going in this new friendship
Real careful
No rush
Take it slowly
Who cares so what
We just want to be
Different and cool
I just want to see
What it means to be
To be in something so good
Makes you want to sing
We are glowing
Were the lyric to each other voice
Im glowing
You the prose to a poetry that keeps flowing
Your my re to the mix
I am your perfect fix
I feel the love in the air
And it's so fun
We both finally found the one
Lets take a chance and a hike
You are no longer Mr.Wrong you Mr.Right

We like each other
Its clear to see
I Want you
And you want me
Lets work it out
See where it goes
Take this chance
Who knows
Its time for you to show
How much you care
The love is in the air

The Make Shift Road

Big trucks rolling down the market street
blowing their horn in the crowded street
Big trucks going around, I have no clue where they are bound, they swirl and turn rocking the people`s nerve, big horn, big man with little wisdom compiled in their head. The truck is bigger than the street and it swallow up everything that
it meets, competition is so sweet and it can drag you out in the middle of the street. It can back
you up into the corner, and it can make you listen
to a careless whisper, big trucks will make you linger. The street is narrow, the street is short but the big truck has swallow it all, a show of talent, a show of strength will make is rocking the street until it is bent. The fellow is hanging on the side of the truck, the driver is pressing the gas more and the people are mocking and jeer asking and asking for more. I sat at the garbage can observing the recklesness of man.The truck, the man, and the courage of the pennyless man walking around kitchen street begging a dollar to buy something to eat while big tucks without goods roaming aimlessly through the little town galivanting up and down. What is the purpose of this daily fleet going around in the street, to say who is working and who is giving the order,
what a waste of talent, what a waste of strength
the game is one again and they are going to play
it until they are dead. They know that their contracts are up and they are and they are all out
of luck.See them comming from all corners and the time is getting shorter, and their base gets smaller. They are giving up their loyality to take a chance with the royality, they will take a chance at something new and they have considered it through and through. The sun has dissapeared underneath the clouds on a new mission for the earth. It is comming closer to you and you must review in through and through and through.Big truck crawling like ant, big trucks waiting at the ports, big trucks loaded with dirt, big trucks in the showcase, make your choice before it is too late. Big trucks is waiting for you big trucks will cause misery for me and you overturn the red and white dump truck in the middle of the wasteland and get the occult people out of the land.Big trucks are on the detour road, big trucks are running out of gas, big trucks have lost their contracts, big trucks are struggling on the makeshift road.

Taking Chances Second Guessing

Never have put all my faith, in someone I've not met
but when it comes to Presidents, I had to hedge my bet
I listened, just to what was said, from the horses mouth
teleprompter easy read, what's from his heart went south

Everyone just turns away, because of who has spoken
the little "adlibs" at the end, are called a "trademark token"
It took awhile to readjust, not comfortable at first
waiting for the "Hope and Change", instead things just got worse

I don't put words in peoples mouths, news briefly passes by
hesitations, pauses too, just watch and you'll know why
His demeanor says it all, can't look you in the eye
like a child's hand in a cookie jar, caught in another lie

I voted Independent, just like I always do
"08" I said I'll take a chance, and vote for something new
Took a chance and voted once, against what's in my heart
hoping this would be the one, to give us a fresh start

Listened to the arguments, on both the Left and Right
checked my dwindling bank account, it's almost out of sight
Some people think I'm selfish now, look at the flag I've flown
it's odd I've no Entitlements, and pay for my own Phone

How do you let him off the hook, divided we now stand
his bitterness shows near and far, beyond the Rio Grand
If you don't agree with him, they say you're spewing hate
they won't sit down and talk it out, no common sense of late

People think they understand, compassion in their hearts
you have "yours", let them have "theirs", forget that "theirs is ours"
Try to remain civilized, and show them you do care
he seems to think we "owe the world", his way to make it fair

Redistribution of our wealth, the "Robin Hood" effect
give it to the "have-nots, their life is such a wreck
If you never worked for "it", believe me you're not owed
reason for the "Bridge Card"? We won't know we've been snowed

He's not alone you understand, "bad apple in the bunch"
I really think he tops the list, of course that's just a hunch
We can go back a lot of years, "W M D s" and more
his sights are set, it's "Tunnel Vision", to give away the "Store"

Bring them in, from down below, he'll smile and look away
knowing well, that all of them, are surely here to stay
A scary thought (you know it's true) he's letting ISIS in
his hope and change "America", he tries, but will not win.....

Walls of Flesh

~ Walls of Flesh ~
Life isn't just what is seen in a pretty picture,
But the secrets buried from within the
walls of our flesh, and hidden deep inside,
Intellectually we stand tall, body held strong
by the back bone of our pride,
While we battle the constant thoughts of the
   conscious mind,
Unable to see the whole picture because
   we are blind.
What if we crossed the wrong bridge,
   or took the wrong street,
Should we prepare ourselves for
   lies and deceit?
Instead of what makes our heart beat?
Trying to look prettier everyday,
but still perfect in God's eyes,
Inside we still burn with secrets and lies,
Still trying to control in their heart
   what lives or dies,
How do you deal with those whose mind
   has taken over their lives?
Behind the walls of flesh is where they hide.

We don’t have time to let anyone else in,
So our lives are basically pretend,
We hold up a shield that's made of tin.
Some people can't handle the struggle,
so their thoughts drive them insane,
But still strong, holding onto the pride
   while showing no pain.
Then what happens to the one's who are
weak and can't stand alone without pride?
Will they just disintegrate and die?
Will the secrets and pain eat them alive?
Our soul is eating it's flesh from within,
   trying to survive,
Wanting to escape from behind the walls
   of where they hide.
The pain from our past,
Has forced us to wear a mask.
Deliberating the differences of the
   pro's & con's,
The scale tips, unbalanced decisions of
   right or wrong,
Those who are lost, searching for their place in
this world and where they belong.

Life isn't just what is seen in a pretty picture,
But the secrets that burn from behind the
Walls of our flesh, and hidden deep inside,
Body held up by the back bone of our pride.
So why can't we break down the walls of our flesh
   and let everyone in?
No matter their differences, no matter their sin?
Because as humans we are afraid of possible hurt,
And that is no reason to treat them like dirt.
To be the person that you were created to be,
Take a chance to just break free,
Convince our soul that its okay to finally breathe.
Reach inside yourself and decide,...
' Inside these walls of flesh,  I NO LONGER HIDE ! '

The Raging Storm

Sleepy eyes awake to crashing sounds on window panes
Creeping animals scramble around bristling forests nesting for a spot
while thousands of mad ants crusade in barren fields storing food in tiny plots
Along the busy high way meandering trees parted wide asphalted roads
and thick wavering clouds peak above shrouded path waiting for it to start.
Countless loaded trucks speed down bending roads honking horns
forewarning oblivious travelers not to take a chance
In the center of town busy shoppers paraded the crowded plaza
Ignoring beckoning dark clouds pressing upon them from pregnant skies.
Laughing children swing high on Ferris wheels
grown men tossed up down expanded roller coasters
                                             screaming out of control
                                             amused with laughter.
Unforeseen the gigantic Ferris wheel halted
And a terrifying sound emerged from beneath
Stealing the happy children’s delightful laughter
                                             thick black clouds overshadows
the sounds get louder and confusion drenches the streets
dust and debris flutter in the atmosphere
A thunderous sound spits venomous vengeance
                                                  whipping and lashing
                                                  whistling and barking
                                                and maneuvers the busy town
it dances from city to city
                                                 Wrenching up a destined path
disseminating people all over the streets
But the terrified children grip tightly
Kept calm and ride out the raging storm

Take a Chance

Go Ahead, Take a Chance and read it to the end:

Thirty years from now how would we look?
If only there was a way to look it up in a book.
I thought about it as I saw you standing there
You had an imposing look, an indignant air.
My friend nudged me forward to take a chance

Were you really what I had been looking for?
Or was I, as usual, looking for so much more?
All the questions were raised within my mind
As I studied your features to see what I’d find.
My friend nudged me again, “Give it a chance!”

I knew if this worked I’d owe her a big debt
And I wondered if I should take this big step.
I studied you once again from top to bottom
Looking for problems I could run away from.
I wondered if you were worth taking a chance.

Of course I would show you off to Christine,
I knew my best friend’s face would turn green.
She’d say, “Where were you when I needed you?”
She’d look annoyed, and I knew that it was true
And that she wouldn’t have given up this chance

I was surprised to see you were so much older
I thought to myself, or was I so much younger?
Would age really matter between you and me?
Neither of us was as young as we used to be.
I studied you again, should I take this chance?

Would we both look the same as we grow older?
Will I lean upon you then with my tired shoulder?
I smiled at you shyly and then looked around us.
My friend nudged me, saying, “What’s the fuss?
You’re not getting any younger, take the chance.”

I closed my eyes, wondering if this was meant to be
And would you, looking so solitary, open up to me?
Would I be able to get past all your built up walls?
And when I’m gone all day because my work calls
Would you be glad that I’d finally taken a chance?

Looking at you, I thought about a cold winter’s day
When the weather outside is all stormy and gray
And I’d shiver and think about turning the heat on
I knew you would warm me from dusk until dawn.
Then, I finally knew you really were worth the chance.

I shook my head out of my reverie and smiled again.
And I turned, looking at you and then my good friend,
“I think you can say this one is sold finally.”
We hugged and she nailed on the sign carefully:
“Last Chance Realty Company, Why Not Take a Chance?”
                                     SOLD
