Take a Chance

How often do you regret,
Questioning what you suspect

To be an opportunity missed,
Wanting to do over, you wish

Another chance,
To improve your circumstance

Please let me try,
I won’t let this one go by

Without fear,
It’s perfectly clear

With fear,
Success is no where near

So why do we hesitate,
Is it cautiously to investigate

To insure we don’t fail,
And end trapped on the regret trail

Maybe you’ve used the “timings not right”,
But really you would like

To abandon all care to the wind,
For your hopes you have pinned

On a new plan or adventure,
Opportunities now with its tenure

You never know which moment will change your life,
Or the opportunity that comes around just right

But everyday you have that chance,
That person in you, to enhance

So others see,
The real me

Living without regrets,
Taking all I can get

That I want and believe,
Will only improve me.
