Throw your high-heeled shoes
Forget daily stress
Dance barefoot in the sand
Grains of sand between the toes
Lace and pearls on her dress
The shirt is new and smooth
Straight cut and fit
Glimmer of evening sun
You are in limelight
A disco ball in the real nature
Dance is enriching for the soul
Establishing new relationships
Mood on top
There is nothing that stops you
The energy explodes
For pure pleasure
The best party ever
What are you waiting for

Should I Take a Chance

there would be too much
anguish in just one touch-
for in loving him,
my heart would ache…
            a slight chance to take

he would brisk my arm
and i would sigh-
gaze into my eyes as if
i was the most beautiful
woman he had ever seen
(prancing in fields of emerald green)

i left bereft that day in early may-
ceased my yearning to be near
an honorable man
               -the ONLY man for me-

but there would be too much
anguish in just one touch…

adoration reveals tribulation-
my soul forsaken in a chance taken

Give the wheel of chance a spin.
Unless you do you'll never know,
whether you'll lose or perhaps win.
Give the wheel of chance a spin.
Do not let fear and doubt step in.
Let your daring nature show.
Give the wheel of chance a spin.
Unless you do you'll never know.

Take a Chance

I thought i would take a trip to
trafalgar square
but some one said there
may be some trouble down there
but I thought I would take a chance
so I decided to take a look in advance
some one had hurt some one that was frail
so off the went directly to jail
who will pay the fine I do not know
but they got charged and then of they GO
I went to piccadily
and I went to leicster square
but my favourate place will always be mayfair
I enjoyed all the places i had been
but the property market was the highest rent that i have ever seen
so after my journey I went to kings cross staion for my train
and will come back and play this game again.

Premium Member Take a Chance On Our Love

Would it be worth it?
To venture out,
to leave our comfort zones
only to get answers,
to questions that will
only get answered
if we take the risk?

What would the welcome be like?
Will it be one with open arms?
or one that’s overflowing with qualms?

The anticipation is eating at me
maybe it has the same effect on you …

All the fear is there
what if it’s not what we expected?
What if it’s not the way we envisage it?
It’s scary,
being positive about our love
and yet uncertain
about what to expect...

I’m stepping out,
are you willing to do it?
Into the unknown
with the only certainty
being our love for each other?

TAKE A CHANCE

Life!
And a chance to love
Every mountain meadow
                               and field beckons
                      every earth-bound thing stirring
Well then? LOVE!

The inconstant mind will disagree
will crawl every corner of existence
Hah! That slab of meat will - computer-like -
                                store every confuting demon
Weighing
Condemning
Praising
Supporting
Confusing in a whirl!
(oh, to just die)

But close your eyes
Life!
The Life-Giver!
Always present
Always with ‘that still small voice’ will tell
“Here are no inconsistencies
Just love”

Take a Chance

I thought I'd take the chance
To ask her to the dance
I would be quite proud
To be with her in a crowd
And maybe start a romance

She said she didn't know
If she wanted to go
For you see
She wasn't into me
Which came as a terrible blow

Take a Chance

Go Ahead, Take a Chance and read it to the end:

Thirty years from now how would we look?
If only there was a way to look it up in a book.
I thought about it as I saw you standing there
You had an imposing look, an indignant air.
My friend nudged me forward to take a chance

Were you really what I had been looking for?
Or was I, as usual, looking for so much more?
All the questions were raised within my mind
As I studied your features to see what I’d find.
My friend nudged me again, “Give it a chance!”

I knew if this worked I’d owe her a big debt
And I wondered if I should take this big step.
I studied you once again from top to bottom
Looking for problems I could run away from.
I wondered if you were worth taking a chance.

Of course I would show you off to Christine,
I knew my best friend’s face would turn green.
She’d say, “Where were you when I needed you?”
She’d look annoyed, and I knew that it was true
And that she wouldn’t have given up this chance

I was surprised to see you were so much older
I thought to myself, or was I so much younger?
Would age really matter between you and me?
Neither of us was as young as we used to be.
I studied you again, should I take this chance?

Would we both look the same as we grow older?
Will I lean upon you then with my tired shoulder?
I smiled at you shyly and then looked around us.
My friend nudged me, saying, “What’s the fuss?
You’re not getting any younger, take the chance.”

I closed my eyes, wondering if this was meant to be
And would you, looking so solitary, open up to me?
Would I be able to get past all your built up walls?
And when I’m gone all day because my work calls
Would you be glad that I’d finally taken a chance?

Looking at you, I thought about a cold winter’s day
When the weather outside is all stormy and gray
And I’d shiver and think about turning the heat on
I knew you would warm me from dusk until dawn.
Then, I finally knew you really were worth the chance.

I shook my head out of my reverie and smiled again.
And I turned, looking at you and then my good friend,
“I think you can say this one is sold finally.”
We hugged and she nailed on the sign carefully:
“Last Chance Realty Company, Why Not Take a Chance?”
                                     SOLD

Take a Chance

Take a Chance on Lucky Lane
Yet the Road You'll Pave is Clear
Next to Do or Die there's Found
For the Show of No Go Around

Take a Break like it's Recess
The class has "Catch Up Time"
But the Bully has a Big Black Eye
And say hey "That Kids Not Mine!"

Take a trip to "Way Back Then"
The Girl and Boy Don't Have a Care
Just an Each Our Own, No One Else
For a Day of Truth's with No Dare

The Page is a Path for the Exits
But the Deal's not in a Dream
There's Always in Nowhere Else
With No Rainbows on the Scene

Down Lucky Lane there's
The "Haves" and "Nots"
It's a Ride that has No Strife
Yet the Dead End Street
You'll find You're On is
Not a Highway for a Life

Take a Chance

Take a chance.

Send me a sign, to show me how you feel,
And I'll return my message to you, in a little while.
I'm taking the first step, but it takes two to tango,
So what do you think, shall we dance with each other?
Will you become my lover and my lay with me tonight?
Or shall I leave you to these people and not be by your side?

You see, I'm the one who made you smile,
And you told me that it's been a while,
Since you remember being happy and thinking like this,
But I too harbour the bad memories, that come with this thing.

But if I can take the risk, then I'm sure you can too,
If you can't, I understand, I've been there too darling.
Those crazy misspent days and those long winter nights,
Left us happy and content
And we were always happy when we weren't crying.

But times stands still for no man and it's time for me to leave,
I've got to leave you here alone now,
So you can breathe a sigh of relief.
You may want things to be different,
But I'm a ghost ship passing by,
The guy you thought you made a connection with,
In the blink of an eye and an awkward smile.

In that moment I saw you truly,
As you wished no-one could see you right now,
With your guard down and you hair messed up,
You shone so bright like a nuclear cloud.
An explosion in my heart and then you were gone,
Tomorrow you may not remember me,
But you shall not be forgotten.

A single smile, with your red hair in the wind,
Reminded me of what could be, if I changed a few things,
And forgot those bad memories, that have now engulfed me.
They keep me here trapped, letting nobody in.

I'm willing to risk it all and lay here at your disposal,
To dispose of at your dissatisfaction,
But to keep while I'm still useful.
Until the day comes when you disappear into the night,
Then like a candle blowing in the wind,
Your love will walk out of my life.

But the pains we have endured, shall become our cure,
Make us stronger this time; we can do it for sure.
Just one girl and one boy, how hard can it be?
It's as easy to do as you’re A,B,Cs.

Premium Member Take a Chance He Said

Take a chance the new employee said; the entire room laughed.
She is the Evel Knievel of our company, someone informed him.
As a newcomer, he was arrogant and a tad bit mean.
He never got to meet the real me, so he never knew.

I take a chance every opportunity that comes my way.
I am the one who invests in the craziest things imaginable.
I stick my neck out, daring the guillotine to come down.
If he had not been so pompous, he might have gotten to know me.

But he was a misogamist, and I have no room for these people.
So I did not get to know him and he did not get to know me.
He is really great once you get to know him, someone told me.
Additional proof that she is the worst judge of character I know.

Take a Chance, Make This World Something

Hour after hour,
second after second.
Wishes *do they come true?*,
or is it are imagination?
Soon this world will not be up,
and all our hopes will be gone.
The wind will blow us away,
and no one will be left to age again.
Dreams are worth catching,
even if you are in a bad position.
*Explosion*
Save your energy,
take adventures.
Soon nothing will make sense,
yet I'll be here for you baby.
Throw after throw,
apologies after apologies.
Honey, save your breathe,
make this world something.
THE WORLD WILL NEVER BE HERE FOREVER!
CHANCES WILL BE WASTED AND TEARS WILL BE DROWNING EVERYONE IN.

Premium Member The Dreaded Disease, Why Take a Chance

Alcoholism
In almost every family
Causes homes to break up
Causes children to worry,

Alcoholism
It will not happen to me
But sometimes it does
And it does it in a hurry

Alcoholism
The dreaded disease
Affects the whole family
And it does so in a fury

Alcoholism
Takes your body and mind
It has not killed you yet,
But it got your Uncle Murray

Alcoholism
Why take a chance?
Why take that first drink?
Your goals you want to bury?

Oak wears green taffeta
Dancing in March's brisk breeze
Sometimes shakes ill at ease
Are oaks in Africa?
Looking at Aquila?
An affair with Altair gee !

Oak dances with redbud
Changes partners with speed
Forsythia now is freed
When she see this wild dud
A philanderer, stud.
Tulip puts on brown tweed

No need for spring's light clothes
In the midst of her throes
