Can loving you ~
ever be a mistake?
Come what may,
I won’t ever take a break.
Even if it’s pretense—
life itself feels fake.
Along the way I break
I carefully observe around
Strictly I will not miss out
So I could not cross it twice
One and the wrong path
I take break along the way
So that next time I come
I have the right road to go
Invite some friends with me
Not go astray but walk comfortably.
The dishes can wait, they have waited before,
All my work problems, I’ll simply ignore.
The email pings call, they too can wait,
For I'm on my break, to procrastinate.
I’ll slouch in the couch, maybe stare at the sky,
Watch clouds drift by, as day's cares pass by.
My brain is in neutral, my worries on pause,
I’m doing my best to never show cause.
With coffee in hand, I’ll stare at the wall,
Pretending I’m thinking deeply, pondering on it all.
The world can wait, it won’t implode,
While I forsake my workaholic mode.
Stuff the to-do list? Do nothing at all, that's the go!
The churning of tasks is set to real, real slow.
A nap sounds good! Perhaps a little snooze!
I’ll wake refreshed, with nothing more to lose.
So I'm clocked off for now, I'm just taking five.
If you call me in, with can't-wait excuse, to contrive
My break will become ten, even twenty-five I'll yen.
Perhaps I'll take the whole day off, once and over again.
So here I sit, without a care,
Switched-off in my comfy chair.
Learning the art of taking a break
Goodness gracious! Am I still awake?
Life can be hectic
Why not take a break from work
Embark on a trip.
Take a break
You can't be here and there
Cos you can't serve two masters
At same time
Is either you are with us
Or against us
stop running away from
Who you are
Stop punishing the people
You can't be faster than your shadows
So take a chill pill
Try to breathe again
Take a break

Think it over again and again
Is it better for you to clash to nothing
Remember your yesterday
Remember your were once one
Of us
Be kind up there
Be truthful with your position
Be human again
It cost nothing but just a decision

A Dedication to
Africans gone astray...!
Please remember us up there ......
With all you give and all you do,
The things you do for yourself are few.
Seems someone always has need of you.
It may seem selfish but some Me time is due.
Take a moment to rest, some time to renew.
Take a break, take a minute, some time just for you.
You'll be more rested, less stressed out too.
Time's not your enemy when you make time for you.
slow down
don't be work clown
so you can think
and anuther day so eyes blink
for heavensake hear the sound
TAKE
A BREAK NOW
My brains all higgledy-piggledy,
My ears are bamboozled with sound,
My muscles are all of a jitter,
My heart is beginning to pound,
My vision is like a kaleidoscope,
The room is spinning around.
Get me out of this bedlam!
Get me out into nature, where
My thoughts begin to untangle,
My ears relax to the sweet sounds of birds,
My muscles are less of a jangle,
My eyes gaze up to clouds in the sky,
My body is out of its strangle,
Sigh
My heart is at peace.

take a break from life every now and then.
but once you get back at it, your journey will truly begin
u will get knocked down, you'll want your life to end
but just get back up, and all your pain will begin to descend
take a break from life every now and then
because ill tell you now, and ill tell you the same later
just never completely give up, and do me that favor
When I take a break
It's bonafide break
To mend fabric of my soul
You have torn
Shredding joy I've brought
From my sanctuary to you
When I take a break
Tread softly
Don't wake the dead tempered long ago
I am many mees, I'll have you know
When I take a break
Moon, sun, stars shines, and on me beams
Fuel, filling me with pizzazz
Ask my muse
When I take a break
We bask in silence
To hear The Source of everything
Telling me what makes sense
When I take a break
I see everything in quiet tones
Good challenges comes challenging
What's at stake?
In my skin I'm snug, at home.

FROM HATE
Take a break!
Said the Soul to the Mind.
Take a respite from the trouble and the toil.
Its becoming a bit too much for me, you know.
The way you go on and on with worrying,
Always hurrying from one pointless point toward another.
Take a break!
Agreed the Spirit.
Let me soar with the eagles!
You've got me wallowing in your self pity and sorrow.
I can't see beyond that far horizon - my hopes and my tomorrows.
And so what if you've been troubled far beyond what you can handle,
Let it go!
Let go and let God work
Don’t worry
Put it into God’s hands
Don’t try to do everything
Just do what God has planned
For it is written in His Divine word
Believe and you will receive
Trust in God’s Promises
For He shall give them all to you
Speak those things as thou they’re not
As thou they are…
You will go Far..
God has your back
Don’t lose track
Don’t give up hope
Take a break
Let go Let God work
Don’t worry
Or get discouraged
For God is right by your side
Let go Give God a Try
You see
Just come Believe
Give all your worries
To Our King
He will take all you problems away
If you just ask… believe then You’ll receive
I no longer want a part,
Of any one man’s heart,
It’s a deceiving game,
Always the same,
Every time you start.
I find it brings much pain,
And a lot of emotional strain.
It was made for fools,
Who are always used,
Over and over again.
I’d like to leave love behind,
To let it never enter my mind.
But it’s hard to see,
If you are ever free,
For those who love are blind.
Will love ever be found true?
Has it been found by any of you?
A man in my books,
Has only his looks,
And without a man, I’ll do.
I’m sure that I can survive,
But from love, can I hide?
I’ll just play their game,
And give ‘em the same,
Then their love can take a ride.
This time, I’ll call it quits,
And certainly stick to it!
But, if another man,
Should take my hand,
I’ll probably fall for it.

The early morning dew falls on my face
Telling me it's time for me to wake
Wake up and see nature at its best
Wake up, lazy boy! It isn't the time to rest
I look around and see the birds fly
Looking for food, so their chicks don't cry
Chirping merrily singing a joyous song
I find myself wishing I could fly along
Fly with them to the edge of the sky
From where I could see humans trudging by
Going along doing their daily chores
Will less, witless, oh! what bores
Look at the birds and learn thy lesson
It's more than a look that makes us human
When did we stop seeing the sights
Through God given wonders called eyes
Open them eyes and look around
There's much to see, much to be found
Much to teach our little ones
Lest they grow up to be no ones
The early morning dew falls on my face
But hey! I am human, I have my rat race
Nature beckons me to be part of her beauty
But all I do is work, and think, that's my duty
Take in the sights while you can humans
Because there isn't going to be a world for ever
Learn to differentiate between your work and your duty
Take a break and enjoy nature's beauty
