Take a Break

My brains all higgledy-piggledy,
My ears are bamboozled with sound,
My muscles are all of a jitter,
My heart is beginning to pound,
My vision is like a kaleidoscope,
The room is spinning around.
Get me out of this bedlam!

Get me out into nature, where
My thoughts begin to untangle,
My ears relax to the sweet sounds of birds,
My muscles are less of a jangle,
My eyes gaze up to clouds in the sky,
My body is out of its strangle,
Sigh
My heart is at peace.

Hope you found peace at the end of it all! And I found a new word ~ LOL ~ higgledy-piggledy ;) This was an adorable expression of a not so adorable circumstance...

Thank you Heidi. Thankfully I rarely feel like this now, as I've got older I'm much better at taking time out!

I can hear myself shouting something similar to this most days when the hectic pace of my job catches up with me. Really nicely expressed Janice.
