Time flies so fast
January is about to end
Around here stay at coffee shop
Just drink a sip of tea
Appreciating people's time
So precious but can't be returned
Surmising the busy days working hard
Doing the new year to be fruitful start
The second month would be a red letter days
All malls are adorned with something scarlet
Bouquet of flowers are all on sale right now
Cards and postcards hanging the wall bookstore
Ladies are smiling in red lipstick at the parks
Boys do jogging in the morning routine seen in the crowd
The atmosphere is esoteric vibe of positive energy
As food and wine are the best part of this love celebration.

Little by little you
A home is tied to the heart
Colorful to have you
All the hopes to the heart.
Bigger and bigger I go
Too heavy baggage I pack
Going somewhere for fun
Finding peace in the woods.
Keep on trying, to find
The gold in the midst of the land
While sun heat prevail over me
The love I search in the sand.
Day by day by frame
Looking at silhoutte in the shadow
While sun setting in the morrow
Bewitching over the beautiful you.

An early summer air
Tasted very sweet and sour
They were singing a song
And I was dancing along
Surmising the weather
Playing truth and dare
Making memories everyday
Youth was served in a tray
Despite of storm or thunder
We all stayed with each other
The sun was smiling with us
Our heart was filled with warmth
We weren't living for a goal
We knew to live for the soul
We used to walk in that street
Where we shared thousands of stories
We weren't running after the life cycle
All we knew was to share a popsicle
In an early summer breeze
We wished the time to freeze
I wish I could rewind that summer
Where we weren't running for a future
I wish I could leave everything behind
And go back to live in that time

"How to Touch the Lips of an Eclipse"
calamity, the heart rushes in
up against a wall of thorns
and the one removed watches it all
Love comes in little steps small,
or the opposite, thick fast floods
that break the walls
drowning,
you drown,
in the best drowning of all
time stands back
adjusts its hands
dials in time with the Sun
pulls you in closer
like you're the tide
and the other, your shore
yet Love stands back,
barefeet, feeling
the sands of time
moving underneath
surmising the deep
afraid of it all
and Love, stands back
watches and waits
for the Moon to rise
how to touch
the lips
of an eclipse
waiting for some
rouge command,
the curves of a kiss
rippling like waves
across a waist
caressing the time it takes
dragging the delicious
birdsong quilled against
a body like Love
the words unheard
invisible
written on a page

We yearned for rain, for spring had been so dry.
We got wet one day. Would things get better?
The sun blazed so intensely in the sky.
Only in the park’s pool could we get wetter.
Then came the time of our celebration.
We’d sweltered until Independence Day.
A pelting rain caused no great elation,
for picnics and fireworks that rain did slay!
But rain it did, and it’s been surprising
for rarely has it stopped! Eight days have passed,
and everyone I know is now surmising
we’ll soon have flooding. How long will this last?
We’d prayed for rain to aid in the crops’ growing,
yet the sound of pounding rain keeps going.

Recognizing life's fields need steady crop rotation
Each of their grains harvested requires separatization
Safely stored in silos of compartmentalization
Red lights flash consistently on the horizon
Emptiness found in the words comprising
Tomorrow is another day or so, I'm surmising
Perhaps one morning, I'll wake up more wizened

I enjoy to people watch
In my mind l write a tale
Surmising the people I’m watching
Envisioning identities and what their life entails
I could sit quietly for hours
Happily sipping my latte
Observing humans and their behaviour
Oblivious to my gaze
So curious about my conclusions
Yet never would l ask
Are you the person I’ve created
Or am l completely off the mark

I'm dreaming of the sandy beaches
Just like the ones I’ve seen before,
Where the surf is rising,
With lovers surmising,
While kayakers skim along the shore.
I’m dreaming of the sandy beaches
With every poem today I write
Hoping you have good weather up here
If I think of you,
I’ll shout a quick “Good night!”
[Repeat]
I'm dreaming of those sandy beaches
With every poem today I write
Of my presence here please do not lose sight
And may your holidays be bright!

Krishna has an ink effect in our greater supplication, these days!
How come?
From when?
For quite a few days! Since I returned from Bangladesh.
It seems quite a hazard!
Are you in truce with your landlady?
That is another epic ! An enormous one !
Attuned harmony, cryptocurrency in scripted Java, and Architectural Parthenon, ding dong, in ping pong
And I simply pondered
Which trash can served the son
In serving chores for "Tapati" , the grandiose mentor?
O, Fix yourself, just look at you!
You are just an advertised face of Sandalina Sandal soap , these days!
Have you ever washed your holy month of Sha'ban,
of days bygone?
Or a pure "Miswak?"
How far are you? In your own mirror?
Till the recorded reels are disposed,
to the fullest extent!
An unknown rural tune is surmising in only fluke news
A floating trochaic, in enormous hypes!

obsessed with incurable hope
to prose
who knows
one day
the stars will align
putting nobody
on the front
of a book
swing in slow motion
of day and night
under the purple veil of the aurora,
Owl with oxblood claws
flying, warbling
vivid and astir shades
during this season
slipping through
the wristwatch band
the leaves were rough
and ruffled by the fall
breeze
carried ample outbursts
In October,
huge gems gave
many willing
reasons
because if the waist fits too
surmising you can be
somebody

Does it blow your mind on Poetry Soup
When you regularly converse with a poet
Naturally visualising who they may be ….
Surmising their looks and age
Sometimes gender
Due to no information or history ….
To discover you were completely off mark
Who you thought was a woman is actually a man
Nor the age you expected them to be ….
The photo you just saw
Is not who they are in your mind
It just blows my mind totally ….

Circling above the shore, watching the gulls
Squawking loudly above the ocean’s roar,
Hungry for every morsel, never any lulls
Watching the gulls circling above the shore.
Freighters on the horizon slowly moving
On the ocean’s surface laden with provision,
The supply chain, I see, is finally improving
Slowly moving freighters on the horizon.
The urban skyline rising starkly to my right,
A scene leaving so much to my surmising,
Of city folks waking up in the morning light
Starkly to my right, the urban skyline rising.
On my early morning walk along the shore
In habitual silence, I stand there and gawk
Wondering what this new day has in store
Along the shore on my early morning walk.

Early morning, heading out
To walk, as is our habit,
A flurry from the bushes made us jump;
‘Twas not a rabbit.
Instead, a just-awakened fox
Looked at us both, surmising
That no harm was intended,
Though our meeting was surprising.
It darted off into the brush
Like lightning, maybe faster
And all of us were thinking
We’d avoided a disaster.
We don’t see foxes often
So to be so close was thrilling,
An inter-species contact
With acknowledgment, not killing.

I do not like the idea of abortions, naturally,
But then I do not like to see abandoned kids
I am a firm believer in equal opportunity,
Yet, I see so many in our populace on the skids.
In my lifetime I’ve watched children suffer,
And I have thought better never to have been
Than be jerked up by a drug-addicted monster
Or a sexually abusive, ingrate…what a sin!
I’ve read of little kids forced to live in a box
Slowly dying from abuse, neglect, and starvation
For them no golden opportunity ever knocks
And I ask, can this happen in a civilized nation?
Seeing pictures of their ravaged little bodies
Surmising what hell they must’ve endured
I say to myself, “better not to have been born”
Than to have lived briefly, then forever obscured.
But I will never forget them, some I even taught
With only an inkling of what their life was like
As a child I, too, was abused and I never forgot
Better not to be born than die an unwanted tyke.

A thin veneer of stormy war-clouds arising
To threaten the ever-roiling sovereigns,
Keeping the world in constant surmising
Hence no peace among the sister nations.
To threaten the ever-roiling sovereigns
Each greedily coveting the goods of another
Hence no peace among the sister nations
No family ties of ancestry, sister or brother.
Each greedily coveting the goods of another
Amassing armies for their supposed defenses
No family ties of ancestry, sister or brother,
Nations aggressively building needless fences.
Amassing armies for their supposed defenses
A fragile world divided into opposing castes,
Nations aggressively building needless fences
Makes a thinker wonder how long it can last.
A fragile world divided into opposing castes
Keeping the world in constant surmising,
Makes a thinker wonder how long it can last
A thin veneer of stormy war-clouds arising.
