Israeli hostages and Gazans hollowed,
the dark cold cruelty of some in humankind.
Gray circles under frightened eyes,
bones protruding from fading frames.
Listless song of the starving,
grieving God. ~

National, Not Tribal

As some Indians
(dot, not feather)
go to great lengths
to ingratiate themselves
by obsequious behaviour
(bob your head if you agree with me)
could it be the origin
of the expression,
'To curry favour'?

Tho' hunger knows no bounds
forget the fatted calf
despite the nation suffering
from starvation by more than half
they'll curry a horse
but not a cow
those bovine ungulates
are holier than thou

I made you look

I do not want to turn on the radio because I do not want to hear about more Palestinians starving in Gaza

I do not want to satisfy the growling in my stomach because I do not want to feel full when so many perish, even as food deteriorates at locked boarders

I do not want

Meat is pleasing

My head was in a daze, I'd been down here for days.

All in the name of love, you'd scream, so I let it happen to me.

My skin is like fondant, you'd peel it back. I winced and whined, But didn't fight back.

Your fingers scrape against my skin, trying to find a way

Cessar-fogo

There, my home
There, where good never comes within bull's roar of eer
There, where penurious rule the penury
There, my home
Where hazy are hopes and aspirations
Extort common men for piles of gold.

What a great leader! Please keep it up
Lo! Blotted copybook with corruption
Oh! Lord of karma
Shade is now on our

Premium MemberA Hunger Unfed

Quote: "There are people in the world so hungry, that God cannot appear to them except in the form of bread.” – Mahatma Gandhi

In wars, innocent lives are the cost,
Their homes, their dreams, forever lost.

Starvation strikes, food laid to waste,
Leaving many hungry in its haste.

In silent shadows where hunger hides,
Aching emptiness, sorrow abides.

Whispers in the

Premium MemberMore Or Less

We tend to give a little more
to the little ones.
Nonetheless,
it's not a matter of
belittlement.
The lesson in lessness,
is not a matter of nothing less
nor nothing else
nor is it about starving to nothingness.
Nevertheless, it's more or less
about giving a little less in
little bits of littleness,
in meager, measly morsels,
that just suffices
and leaves one
just less than

Alone

They have not a place to stay
Sitting there, starving, all day
It causes me to bemoan:
The fact that they’re all alone

Storm of Starvation

Food shortage looms again the world over;
as war in Ukraine threatens wheat supply!
Globe faces the hurricane of hunger
due to hypersonic missiles that fly!
Modern weapon’s devastating power
lets both enemies and civilians die.
The rain of bullets coming from the gun
never lets mankind eat beneath the sun!

Twelve Swear To Not Again Money Lend

A praised righteousness is made to end,
Twelve swear to not again money lend,
The First, to often penury pretend,
The Second, to always for himself fend,
The Third, not even his next of kin tend,
The Fourth, starvation of beggars shall extend,
The Fifth, a dying visitor back home send,
The Sixth with all market prices contend,
The Seventh, to philanthropy never

Wrong Passion

The wet arid desert, the satisfied starvation.
she rides on this infected horse for long,
praying it never stops running, she prayed,
into this unknown pit, the farther she goes.

She gasps for an optical lens,
did not find, only it handles.
She looked for this, seeking her wings true nature,
yet all she sees is opaque vision embedded in chaos.

When
