There will always be a last time
Fragile web, I can't confirm strength
threads spun together into the complex tapestry
Existential thinkers of the abyss
searching for light in the dark
and attempts to stake out a way forward
Phoenix bird, more than just an act
Picture becomes incomplete
the pieces scattered by the wind
Don't lose track
one question at a time, a wine glass half finished
where stars explode
Caught in this swirling undiluted power
unfiltered heart that is deeply rooted
The lighthouse must be lit
Swallowed poisonous syllables
the light from the computer screen stings the eyes
long-term parking - accept your own limitations
Life
Is pointless..
A point would
Stake out a
World of separation..
Which would
Display the drama
Appearing in
The life
As is known..
Which is
Beautifully
Frighteningly
Wow..!!
They scar and mar the alma mater of the altar/
We’re hard on bars as we rock it and lift off far and soar sure of our space car/
They’ll never run us flat too solid for that /
Matter of fact we hear ‘em like a fawn’s blat after we snapped with sass and packed brass/
More chatter they chit chat the madder the hats/
Were out here spit for spat aghast at the sadder cast/
Thinking their blabber lasts they flash and lambaste/
Then lay waste and deface their two faced ace/
Glazed flakes with play fakes stake out to take from an honorary mate/
Years they’d wait after my best mates tragic fate/
A frayed tactic that’d leave my Dad, my hero dismayed /
Worked many days, played and paid to have it the way it was made for our stay/
Irked by the flirts of dark days lured by stark strays
Down the Avenue
You won’t believe, what’s down the street, until you see
Put shoes on your feet, listen for the beat, then follow me
Our struttin’ grooves and swanky moves; that’s what we do
Now join the crew, we’re heading to the Avenue…
When we arrive, open your eyes, and observe
Crowds in the street, rainbow complete, a winding curve
Honor and pride, stand side by side, holding proud signs
We join the fight, march for what’s right, as justice shines
East to west, humankind’s best, stake out the Avenue
Marching and chanting, riots and ranting in view
Magical news caught bird’s eye views of Avenues
Mixtures of races found common places, and grew…
Injustice was fought, equality sought
Though this march is far from through
Together we can, remain hand in hand
And make magic down each Avenue...
Pigeon caught on a subway platform
bobbing in a landscape of feet
Escape cut off,
bobbing through risks
weaving clear of grinding boots
Liberated from nature,
pigeon transit-frenetic
like a novice in deep end swimming
no warning signs posted
A bird in need of rescue
from commuters who barely break
their stride
a tumbled push of bodies
Breathless souls in a hectic stake out
for metallic space
unfiltered anxiety
plundered sense of validation
no warning signs heeded
Beaked captives who rush the subway train
perpetually severed
from
their
wings.

Ancient Jurassic stone
casts out the grime
long gone the fog
of industrial crime.
Main thoroughfare
now left in peace
no local blues to sing
in the old coachman’s Fleece*.
When moonlight bathes
within the silver stream
and moor lane glistens
invoking its crystal beam.
The low moor awakes
shadows cast aside
the morning new
lays waste the genocide.
Yet productive time lords
stake out progression
cloudless valley
unfolds the beast.
Quaint radiant faces
cry out for comfort
summer solace
bequest the east.
The strangers come
in flight from fear
a different way
their actions to sway.
Dialect gives away
its tradition
rustic voice
forever gone astray.
Salacious stiletto
the thorn of the city
each atrocity fuels
the seeds of pity.
Country roses
nurtured in rural delight
wafting delirious
amidst the argillite.
*pub, ale house.

I'm like what's next?
I'm in the P.D.X,
so flexed-
come rain or come next,
if the weather has test,
"I say" take the heather to caress the pests-
rush in on tether's and bust up their measures,
force on them pleasures because I take care the never never and replace them with edgers...
So take out your name,
and stake out the possessed,
because what allowed us always came to be best.
Burn the buns,
date the chums,
range rants and take the gums,
summon the slums...
Stake-out for intimacies~
awaiting the chimes jumping infinities,
languish lore-
the entanglements roar!
Richer than tryin' in the doors,
silk'd as saddlin',
tricky as the mind we're in.
Silver eyed blackbirds from above
and beige browned turtle doves
stake out the yard searching in need
between the fallen leaves for seed.
Red winged orange cardinals appear
calm awaiting their turns to spear
as burnt umber wrens rush
with burnished sparrows hiding in the brush,
A half dozen burly furred squirrels race
with each other straddling trees in the chase;
peeking in and out the thicket for cues
where tag and play ensues.
Aggressive blue jays screech
pushing everyone aside in their reach,
pouncing on squirrel and bird alike
save the dominant silver eyes blackbird spike.
Few are brave enough to stand and hold their ground
taking in the yard that abounds
as they run or fly rather than stay
to quick escape to sky or tree away.
With the sudden early wintry chills
each recognize the familiar thrills
no longer come at dawning
skipping in the earlier mornings.
The yard is still alive
with chatter and play
as creatures of the garden thrive
ready to greet the challenge of the day.
In hunted form a flock in fright
Beast twice piercing throat blood like night
Long cold distance moon light howls
Corpse collapsing exploding bowls
What can we do the fed on cried!
I lost my son! My daughter died.
We must hunt this demon steak and knife
Chop him, kill him, gorge him, gut him end his life
I lost my son! My son has died!
The creature lives on every try
What can we do the fed on cried
Recourse, recourse a lonely reply
What can we do the fed on cried
I take this stake and pierce its skull
And I take this stake out to pierce its eye
Corpse collapsing exploding bowels
Unhunted form a flock in flight
Twice piercing throat blood like night
Now hunted prey with demons fight
A hundred hands a hundred stakes
The last one made of moon-light flakes
When the summer sun and heat get to be too much it’s time to hit the beach.
Pack up all your beach things from blankets, towels, beach toys, a beach umbrella, food and don’t forget the sun screen.
When you hit the beach first thing you do is stake out a spot and put up your beach umbrella & lay out your beach towel.
Then you can just relax for the day and spend your time swimming in the ocean, exploring the tidal pools or sitting under your umbrella reading a book and just people watching.
You see little kids having fun chasing waves & building some awesome sand castles, teenagers are hanging out playing Frisbee or beach volleyball, older folks are strolling along the boardwalk holding hands.
Seagulls are being their general pesky selves; swooping around the air, looking for food and sometimes even dive bombing someone holding a hot dog in their hands.
Spending time at the beach is pure magic, because nowhere else on Earth compares to the majesty of the sand, surf and tidal pools of the beach.
The dread of dead birds
In the ambient of a stake-out
Is the song of blood
Exists
A slightly higher pitched thought
Like the distances
Lave themselves with silence
Sail away eyes down Attila's ill-whirlpools
Dig out the birds
Which are self-sufficient
Convinced
That the most beautiful voices
Reach
From dead lines in the ground
We need them
At the beginning and the end of love
We always summon them then
Drug dealers sell not far from your door,
patiently waiting there in the dark.
And with cash in hand, you look to score,
trolling back alleys, daunting and stark.
A storm-soaked sky spits pieces of grey,
pummeling the ground with hail and rain.
And as you're jonesing on the way,
fear fuels jolts of shame mixed with pain.
Ghostly specters, harbingers of doom,
pimp narcotics with swagger and style.
And stake out recesses in the gloom;
where lies get exchanged for denial.
Ignoring your promise to abstain,
you renege on pledges to stay clean.
And shoot heroin into your vein,
that brings you right back to where you've been.
Just another monster to defeat;
Death bides its time while watching you crawl.
And the consequences of deceit
are no one will catch you when you fall.
I wonder how? I wonder why?
Just listen well and discern clear,
Urge you right now: open your eyes!
Sense a ground swell that knows not fear,
Thrill follows spill in some cheap talk.
Wise is the man who knows the truth,
Observe the chill as madness stalks;
Note how you can stake out real proof,
Deeds tell the tale where facts avail;
Etch in your mind what hard work buys,
Runaway sales cannot prevail!
Invest not blind the empty highs,
Nice is sweet spice that feels so good,
Glimpse hollow prize that kills your mood!

Singapore
born of the poets and born of beleivers
born of the zealots and broken deceivers
living the life i knew i would live
taken by others refusing to give
i stake out my future
with weak sweaty palms
uncharted, unwanted
i heard living bombs
dropped by planes in the distance
i look with disdain
upon hoardes of the dead
beaten bloody insane
men who walk with a lord
who deceitfully smiles
so can we afford
to be stuck in the aisles
of a shop long forgotten
known only by sages
who buy humans begotten
unto rusty cages
of thorns and dead splinters
despite all the cold
of red and white winters
they stood up so bold.
still i hike on a trail
barefooted but free
as i close bloodshot eyes
to a world i wont see
