Premium Member LONELY MEDIUM SIZED HOUSE

High above the ocean
Below being a sandy white beach
Easy to watch
One can sit all day and observe
The beach goers, Swimmers and Surfers
The ocean view stretchers for miles
One can reflect back in time
The simple and plan life
No riches in thought of Robin Leech
The Lonely house had fancies
A house with a roof and a place to sleep and eat
Just the fruits of one’s labor
Ocean to house
This lonely house had nothing before it was brought
It looked like shack filled with nothing
Once a dweller brought, it was given new life
Renovated having everything in what a house deserves
A place to be proud of and everlasting living
It took patience and of course the right contractor
Specifications were right and all the construction equipment needed
A lonely medium house because a much bigger house
Where one can admire and enjoy for life
Solid foundation
A dream through reality
No longer a lonely house
House friendly with no mouse
A house back then
Showing what solid as a rock can be
Calm breezes and relaxed souls
The aroma of sugar and spice
What could be so nice.

Abracadabra
boo!
Coo coo ca choo

Candide Diderot. ‘24

Some think abracadabra comes from the Hebrew phrase “ebrah k'dabri,” and means “I create as I speak,'” - while others think it comes from “avra gavra,” an Aramaic phrase meaning “I will create man” — the words of God on the sixth day of creation.

“When God created Woman, he was working late on the sixth day. An Angel came by and asked, ‘Why spend so much time on her?’ The Lord answered, ‘Have you seen all the specifications I have to meet to shape her?’” “‘She must function in all kinds of situations."

Through the storm

I'm taking back the power I had
I'm reclaiming bits of me
I'm rebuilding what once was
But this time, I'll build something stronger

I'm taking back the command I had
I'm claiming what has always been mine
I'm stacking up the confidence I had
But this time, I'll not give them a chance to have me doubt

For what made me unique was my resilience
The same resilience that got me standing
The same resilience that even when I was down
I kept moving cause I had to reach my destination

I'm taking back the determination I had
I'm remaking it to fit in this new shell
I'm making sure it's a great fit
But this time, I'll make it to my specifications

I'm taking back the strength I had
I'm recreating the battles I faced
I'm going through the storm to piece it all back
But this time, I'll stay longer in the storm so that I learn

For what made me great has waned
But I'm going back and changing that
The same person that walked into the storm
Is the same person i'm going after, cause I'm taking control

Offering gifts of
Eloquence and rhetoric
This emancipation of candour
Revitalized in common goals when
Yielding seeds of open-mindfulness

Specifications spontaneously unshackled
Oppression outlawed; this is indeed the
Unreservedly unremittingly
Punchbowl of purposefulness and literature.

Done It Myself Blues

The manual explains in detail
what steps to take to build back a better life,
I have patched-up parts, and glued together
some bent-bones, there are screws loose
and missing,
some rewiring is required -- I'm not qualified.

My non-physical bits,
float around or zip here and there;
all are hard to grasp.
A broken brain cannot analyze the problem,
too many tools are wrong size specifications,
this has led to an un-wrench-able
mental constipation.

I have complained to Ikea,
have returned all the useless parts of myself,
and the rest of me just sits around rusting.

Is This Your Contest

Is this your contest?

A tantalizing tease that you give
to dally with the poet to take leave and sieve
away from their ingrained tradition
to mold and form some wavering transition
that fits, contorts, evolves and forms
the poetry desired by you to be born?

Sometimes,
 I must confess
rules and specifications cause me to stress
as I wallow patient in my regress,
but all the same,
 I'll not leave my name
but try harder to conform
while from my own pleasures I am easily torn.

Premium Member Prized Normalcy

Winter Solstice
Placed earth
On its path toward new spring
Pray longer, sunny days lead to
Brighter hopes
Of rebirthing-
Prized normalcy.

Hugging family
Meeting friends
Breathing pure air without a mask
Sitting at church to worship, pray
Full classrooms
Kids mingling-
Prized normalcy.

No anxieties
Becoming ill
Loving fine meals at a restaurant
Happily going to our jobs on-site
Attend theaters
Sports events-
Prized normalcy.

Embodied

By David J Walker

As if I were a Ford or Chevy

Or an Old’s 88

Classified by year and make and

Model, registered and taxed and

Licensed with the local government

A product of an assembly line from the

American Big 3 proudly adorned with

Airplane like fins and flashy chrome bumpers

Popular in my generation

Parts interchangeable with the few

That are still truly original but more likely

Remanufactured to my specific

Specifications

Some admire the stressed and aged look

That comes naturally with the milage

Others like us restored down to the

Last detail

Keeping us in a garage, taking us

Out on sunny weekends, showing us off

At nostalgia shows playing the music we

Can sing to.

I used to name my cars as if they had a soul

I remember them now as I pass a junkyards

And wrecking yard where they disassembled,

Used parts sold and the rest smashed into a

Coffin like metallic wafer, the sent off to the

Recycler.

The 8th King

Then...

Septet World Powers gave inception to
Its scarlet color speaking from seven heads
Designed to duplicate the league from which it began
And...to that end we will adhere to its specifications
Until submission becomes what is forced upon us
This Jah sides with what is deemed as ours
Bowing turned toward his vision
Indifferent to the tune of government factions
Now...
That act then bow turned toward its image
Or what is supposed to be mass-produced safety
Through syllogistic obscurity their dynasticism suggests
At best meanings which leave confusion
Because When and only when
This weakling chooses to crack
Splatter and crash separate fact from apprehension
Anatomizing a losing battle
Where sovereignty chooses the wrong hemisphere.

Premium Member His Beautiful Answer To Her Proposal

Hold on. Stop a second before you do the deed.
I have to have a mouse house, and I have to have a steed.
I have to feel important, and I have to be called Minnie.
There are other rules, in case this is not plenty.

You must build the house to my exact specifications.
Our house will be open six months a year to all my relations.
You will be on probation from the first minute I say "I do".
We can have some freedom in dating, but this does not include you.

The pink and purple house must have shutters with cut out hearts.
If Mickey comes along, I can guarantee a heartache in all your parts.
My heart is pledged to Disney - his pretty cartoons and his songs.
Where are you going? I have not given you a list of all your wrongs.

A Rose Like My Love

Not too short,
Yet not sky high either,
Smooth silky legs,
Just to see you surrender,
The vessels filled with juices,
The warmth it shares,
The sweet fragrance of a lady,
That the specifications of a rose,
They both share,
Sliding down from top too bottom,
All the sweetness staying in the middle,
Don't throw it away,
Even if the look changes,
It's the inside that counts,
As to why I give you many of roses.....

6 Feet Deep

It was hard wood
Perfectly carved for my specifications
Honoured with a layer of
Silky White paint and gold lining
The sealing soils of UT Island
Stood majestically on the edges of my grave
As they humbly sucked the moist
From unstoppable tears
The white collared man smiled
As he held his bible against his chest
It is over now, he said
As he lifted his eyes to the sky
Heaven must clap
He walked backwards
And leaned against the old baobao tree
That marked the boundary of our clan’s land
He silently wiped a tear
The sun was succumbing
To the chills of an early dusk
The sea was rather silent
Gentle waves breezed on wet faces
As they sung my favourite song
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want
They laid me low
6 feet deep

I Wished Upon a Star

As they sat next to each other
One starry summers eve
She lifted her hand to the sky
Pointed out to the left
Do you see that big bright star
The one right up there
That's the star I wished upon
When my heart it was in despair
That's the star I asked for you
Not in those exact words
Because God knew what I meant
I didn't have to speak a word
He heard them in my tears
My silent unspoken prayers
I asked and than I received
He led me straight to you
All the specifications I asked for in a man
Be charming, be oh so brave
With my heart hold it so safe with you
Guard it with all your might
Tell me you love me so
Despite all my humanly flaws
These are just a few to name
I could go on and on and on
But so far God he did his job
Finding my perfect guy
There's no one else
Here on earth who quite understands
How to fix my broken heart
Within his soft embracing hands

Harry House

Harry House or
We Wish Wives

Harry house it just ain't no more
Someone else is now at their door
Each day when it did start to open
With him not here started coping.

Those that live there are nice to
They will never be another you
And dear wife who we do like so
Watched your love grow and grow.

Someday we may be together again
Not quite sure and don't know when
Our friendship will still last and last
Harry house is all part of the past.

Was last thing I had on my mind
Great friends have been hard to find
Next door neighbor is now my friend
Who me off one day will soon send.

Isn't that what whole world is all about?
May be much love left with a little doubt
Although lengths of our lives are waning
We wish wives would quit complaining.

Harry Truman had a Southern White House
built for him in Key West, Florida. It was
called the Harry House. Another Harry had
a house here not meeting his specifications.
He never moved in.
