Unconditional Love is Free to Give an Opinion

Unconditional Love is free,
To give an opinion,
To forgive,
To seek to understand,
To be a sounding board,
To bring hope,
To commend,
To bring laughter,
To spread joy,
To show kindness,
To sit in silence,
To walk alongside,
To pave the way.

It is not free to demand,
To coerce,
To expect,,
To only say yes,
To gossip,
To snap back,
To go against its nature,
To give false hope,
To make light of a situation,
To lead astray,
To be unkind,
To give up,
To give in to unreasonable requests,
To make it about itself,
To put time limits.

Keep it explicit,
tell me what you are feeling;
Go ahead and swear;
Any word you choose to use
I will not be offended;

Be brave, show yourself;
No, aggression won't melt me;
A strong sounding board
never breaks under pressure;
With a hit nothing shatters;

Stay controversial;
Call it what it really is
I will still listen;
On this I remain extreme,
stay kind with an open mind.

Thus Spoke Tesla

"My brain is only a receiver, in the universe
there is a core from which we obtain knowledge,
strength and inspiration."

The human brain as a mass of neuronal sensitivity,
has no power to enlarge its awareness by itself alone,
yet once a person comes to understand
that it must let go of being a creator, then it becomes
a sounding board, a receiver of unthinkable realities.
Mentation is the after-thought of receiving, it is often
an imperfect picturing of that which was received,
but know that for one holy instant, the brain like a flower,
bloomed wide enough to capture a fragment of Mind.

"If you want to find the secrets of the universe,
think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration."

And the greatest of this trinity (this one in three),
is vibration. For energy can be directionless,
while frequency can modulate, but vibration
resonates and that resonation is the voice of the Universe,
and it will speak within in you if your hear
at the speed of light.

A Quiet Night of Simply Listening

venting
you instill your trust in me
relenting
you pour all of the tears out of your heart and mind

i never mind listening to you
for no one did it for me

at times you have to stop thinking about yourself and devote a listening ear to others
for you are not the only one, and you can learn something as well

being quiet
i become your diary as well as your journal
causing no riot
i become your the pages within as well as your sounding board

i do not mind
Because I Am Proud To Be The Friend That You Turn To

Gb2 's a radio show, it airs in Sydney...But there's more to know.'
Ben Fordam has been speaking out, on the covid dictates
Roundabout on where the science meets the facts
Whether it's all altruistic.? Or do some just act?

Also acts that block, that rile and shock; that lay down demands
That cost a lot..' Much production is de-railed; Aussie
Dreams now are ships with tattered sails, I hear that Ben is
Triple vaxed.. ) an early advocate, was his shout not so lax.'

Yet now he'll listen to anti-views ' To me that rings like
Dinkum news.' He' on facebook; and also twitter He's
A sounding board; and I'd reckon, a real heavy hitter.'
I haven't met the man as yet.' But I like the idea that
He's listening, and talking.' that's the part I really get.!

Go for it Ben,.' I will also here give mention to another
Australian heveyweight journalist Andrew Bolt a legend
In his time and this field, who has been questioning things
And even resigned, from the official endorsed media he
Was involved in, If I get time I will do him in a piece also '

Premium MemberFrom the Lord

Sometimes, while resting, mind adrift and bored,
I get a nudge; might this be from the Lord?
Now that’s a thought that cannot be ignored;
The inspiration’s source must be explored.

To snub is not a thing we can afford,
To sever the connection as with sword,
To quench the Spirit seems most untoward:
Our very source of life, umbilic cord.

And so you play the thought out like a chord,
Or journal it like something to be stored,
Or use a brother as a sounding board,
Until you all agree, are in accord.

To find the Lord the source, its own reward,
For He is precious, much to be adored!

Premium MemberEverlasting Love

the eyes of the Steiff Teddy hung from its threads

loving can take its toll when small nimble hands

poke and explore in innocent fashion and passion

what lies underneath a warm glance into the truth

the button in the animal’s ear like a hearing aid

attended to sorrows tears nightmares and joy

like a sounding board for emotions it listened

Teddy always knew how to deal with the pain

his fur was fuzzy from compassion and touch

naked patches showed signs of wear and tear

but his resolve as tested and trusted companion

never diminished and comforted the young child

the soft toy was better than a psychotherapist

and he talked way more than Freud at the couch

his messages were clearer than psycho babble

and his embracing caress secured childhood

when he growled it came from a place of support

a warning sign here and there and encouragement

not one harsh word ever came from his sweet mouth

and even today the adult cuddles him every night

sometimes simply being present is all that one needs

The Gift of Time

I don’t have lots of money,
So I can’t make big donations,
I don’t have lots of languages,
To give to other nations.
I don’t have big ambitions,
That I want to give away,
I don’t have strong opinions,
For other folk to sway.
I don’t have skills at cookery,
To give in recipes,
I don’t give out instructions,
Cos I always do say please.
But what I’ve gots more precious,
That’s the theme here of my rhyme,
For those who need to talk things through,
What I can give’s my time.
I will not be judgemental,
I won’t tell you what to do,
But if you need a sounding board,
Then I’m your avenue.
I’ll listen, won’t be silent,
But the actions chosen, yours,
A giver of some precious time,
Cos you’re a worthy cause!

Premium MemberButterflies Know

Butterflies know the meaning of life upon transformation
They flit, flutter, and dazzle the flowers into their confidence
You have that way about you, listening with your full heart
Knowing I need a sounding board but silence not suggestion

Like luna moth,
You are my listening man
My happily forever after
The one who understands
My need for silence

Dragonflies incorporate the gift of silence into twilight
They appear in spirit form, giving me a gentle boost
You have that way about you, loving me in spite of my frailties
Ignoring the way I sometimes misspeak or mistreat you

Like luna moth,
You are my listening man
My happily forever after
The one who understands
My need for silence

Whimpers Shall Not Well Nor Weep

chakra shot, aura ignored
inner peace left unexplored
feelings sans a sounding board
blest I’ve left the mindless horde

friends, none that lie to me
or neighbors that like to see
a banshee wailing jamboree
self-reproach is absentee

no dogs, cats, or swimming fish
little is left demanding wish
lunch mirrors a petri dish
the future passed with reminisce

up every day at the crack of noon
to nosh on candies and macaroon
suck helium from a red balloon
entertained at the Shambles Saloon

the postman left mail today
junk and clutter some might say
bills and debts remain unpaid
life is better left unplayed

beds splayed displayed
clothes unwashed too deep to wade
dust layered is carefully laid
happiness is now homemade

the sun set that never rose
reflections must I suppose
account, compound, and then depose
neatly rowed in juxtapose

lying down at last to sleep
importuning God will keep
me whole, sweet, and replete
whimper shall not well or weep

A Witch On the Scaffold

i think i think too much and as of such i write
way to much and so no one can read it all
so so many i enjoyed writing hoping they
would be liked get shuffled in the deck of
only 10 every 24 hours. but i also realize that
i take no time to refine perhaps define my words
instead of a blurt a slobber a slur most times
just to get a laugh which i most love about life
so please dear reader before you go onto the
next twenty written forget them, i've only every
deleted one poem off my list, and so they will
be there waiting for you if you want to keep
reading me- THANKS ALL for support i've
only been on this site for about 11 months
but love what i have read; love what i see with
comments, and since i belong to no other
source of social media, PoetrySoup is my
sounding board so please throw any rocks
or comments and I'll be sure to respond.

TAKE CARE leading up to a more then HAPPY

Premium MemberOne and Only One

One pool in which we live and lay
One rhythm of hearts holding us today
One sounding board wherein we have our say
If not this moment, then in the next
We swim, crawl, walk; then climb or fly
Without delay, like fledglings in world pool
Looking for a better way.

One pool in which we revel or rebel
One the investor, one living in the now
Or living in hell
One gospel truth we all must tell.

One pool in which we thrive refreshed
And do our best
One pool in which we fail or
Pass the ten commandment test
And lay our fears to rest
One by one we'll meet Giver of breath.

One final curtain call
One last sound before silence has a ball
One Universal God sent His Son, to redeem us all.

The Flag

Hoisted high above the ground
Floating in the gentle breeze
Colors and symbols depict a message
That some reject, but others please

Be it local or in a foreign land
Violence or peace it can incite
Some may regard it nonchalent
But others defend, with all their might

It's the mouthpiece and sounding board
Of what is in the human heart
Of those who raise it to it's perch
As their position they seek to impart

Yes, - the flag can easily define
How we view, life, liberty and death
Many seek to extol it's virtue
Guarding it, until their final breath

Isaiah spoke of lifting a banner
It draped over Solomon with love
Should it not be the guiding force
Symbolizing, as a peaceful dove

So, let the Christian hoist it high
In action, word and deed
Always portraying Christ as King
May God grant this to be our creed

Thoughts and Thinking

Thoughts and Thinking

When I write a poem and it then conclude
Hope it doesn't discourage or ever delude
Your thoughts and thinking about poetry
End up relaxing and set your mind free.

To purpose and plan of poem can relate
And not be offended or want to retaliate
At current and same time also inspire
To write a wonderful poem in its entire.

So you as a sounding board am using
And constantly hope I am not confusing
Showing how poetry can remove stress
Mental and emotional problems to address.

Depth dug in my poems depends on you only
Even if with or without love or are lonely
Together can write poems going on and on
Eventually into history poems will have gone.

I Love You

With a smile upon my face, the peaceful feeling in my heart
and my soul ever so complete, I say this to you
I LOVE YOU!
In case you didn't hear me. Let me say this again.
I LOVE YOU! I love you with all I am.
Listen up and pay attention, I love you because of your beautiful eyes,
your heart melting smile, your caring touch, your soft voice,
but most of all I love you, for all you are.
With a smile up my face, the peaceful feeling in my heart,
and my soul ever so complete. I say this to you
I love you!
In case you don't understand. Let me say this again.
I LOVE YOU! I love you with all I am
Listen up and pay attention for, there isn't anything I wouldn't do
There is no sacifice to great for you. I will be the sounding board
for your bad day, I will be there when you're not feeling well, but
most of all I love you for all you are.
Once more, I say this to you.
With a smile upon my face, the peaceful feeling in my heart
and my soul ever so complete, I say this to you
I love you.
