Unconditional Love is Free to Give an Opinion

Unconditional Love is free,
To give an opinion,
To forgive,
To seek to understand,
To be a sounding board,
To bring hope,
To commend,
To bring laughter,
To spread joy,
To show kindness,
To sit in silence, 
To walk alongside,
To pave the way.

It is not free to demand,
To coerce,
To expect,,
To only say yes,
To gossip,
To snap back,
To go against its nature,
To give false hope,
To make light of a situation,
To lead astray,
To be unkind,
To give up,
To give in to unreasonable requests,
To make it about itself,
To put time limits.

David Smith June 16, 2024 at 12:27 PM Thank you Suzanne. A subject we all need to think on. Maybe parents and teachers need to talk more with children about it. I am still coming coming to terms with it at 70 all be it a young 70. Another test of applying it, coming up with identical twin boys due to our eldest daughter in August.
