Now is the winter of our discontent,
For our sins, we shall repent.
Not a soul can escape this torment,
Slowly turning us all senescent.
The cold wind in the east thus blows,
Falling are the petals of that frosty rose.
Our hearts have come to froze,
As we try to cast our minds to our woes.
Harm is the reminiscence of summer,
When we doth celebrate midsommar.
Oh the sun! What has now become of her,
Hiding in shadows, no radiance from her.
The hail hath come to end one and all,
The white rain on the earth doth fall.
How does one remove this hovering pall?
When the limited will cause them to brawl.
Sinking below this sheet of white,
Numbing our body, this frostbite.
Will we ever again see a twilight,
Or will this just be an endless night?
there once was a princess named snow
she was sad wherever she’d go
because of her mother
who was unlike a brother
truthfully, was jealous with major woe
Snow ran off to the woods one day
found a delightful cottage to stay
home of little men
who let her chuck their chin
They adored her in every way
A woodcutter was sent to kill Snow
when he saw her, he said oh no
he took back a heart
in an apple cart
The stepmother’s mirror gave a glow
angry stepmother wanted Snow White dead
she went to cottage with poisoned apple, red
Snow took a bite
Fell down on the site
Her dwarf friends were bereft in their head
They made her a coffin of glass
She was gorgeous, this beautiful lass
Young handsome prince with a kiss
Gave her corpse a kiss
She woke up, and pounded at the glass!
the outside floated inside
white seeds seemed fluff
floating & frolicsome
until their rooted relic
of bitter dandelion wine
wished we hurried
to busy our bones
do something thoughtful.
yes..we’d pluck a stem
or two and gift
but this gift in ever after
would list and wither
so quickly amidst
the coiffer of quarrels
pushing of the dander
of matters we stuffed
our pillows with at night
nightmare of nettled
never-never disappears
snow white impurities
implicated our insides
empty and forlorn
forgetting our vows
our impertinence
of the importance
of marital bliss
which doesn’t begin
with tricks and treats
but with travails
that lead to immemorial
memories and progeny
a long lasting kiss
carry your wife
over
the threshold barrier
don’t let complacency enter
let a garden of delights
bloom within
learn from occasional weeds
pluck…let sun in…water
tender your every day kiss
invite in joy and praise

(I’ve been married 45 years)
Mirror mirror on the wall she wants me so
but I am little and she is white as snow.
In this tale of small things
Horny the 8th dwarf sings
heigh-ho heigh-ho it’s off to twerk we go!
Written: May 2015
When I was a kid we watched with hearts aglow
and Snow White’s skin was always white as snow.
But all bossy and meaner
Snow White is now Latina
and heigh-ho heigh-ho it’s off to smirk they go!
Well the folks at Disney have changed it all since
and real dwarfs too offensive they try to convince.
Virtue signalling I see
that toxic masculinity
so sadly there’ll be no more kiss from a prince!

I was searching
for my snow white.
But instead
got one of the dwarfs.
I've got nothing against
those diddy men.
But dear old grumpy
is not my sort.
Snow White was astounded at their love for her
Seven little munchkins, whose hearts were pure.
She had not felt this kind of love for many years
Together they had alleviated her stepmother fears.
They were marvelously helpful dwarfs who loved her so.
With them around, she felt beloved, her heart all aglow.
Behold! The soft, silken snow
waltzing in the white wind
hither and thither.
In his singular splendor,
her forlorn frosted surface
freezes further in awe
and becomes all surreal.
Harken! The wintry whispers
flowing in fragile flakes
hither and thither.
To his ravishing rapture,
her myriad longing limbs
spread to load his love on,
and become all serene.
Behold! The delicate dream
woven in wonderland
hither and thither.
In her aesthetic aura
laid in luxurious light,
he bares his succulent soul
and becomes all beauty.
Harken! The satin secrets
wafting on winsome waves
hither and thither.
To her mellow love lyrics
well-versed in quaint quintessence,
he sprinkles snow petals
and becomes all marvel.
Snow White took an unladylike bite
of a big red apple polished bright
she snoozed quite a while
he kissed her with guile
and they shared an afternoon delight
Now it is white here
All white
And the moon full blue is bright
And the town so silent –
So silent night in silence sleeps
Where the snow has fallen
Fallen white it sleeps
In the drowsy comfort of its sweep
Like the pillow soft on which you lie
Asleep in dreams
The silent night in silence keeps
A glitter of hope arrives on the wings of a snow-white dove
she is brave and sure, and I think her name is love
Soaring in the heavens like a beacon of light
she is brighter than the stars of night
the pure white snowflakes are falling
like paper airplanes soaring
here and there drifting
up and down swooping
now they are zooming towards me
aeronautical snowflakes
like paper airplanes
gliding, hovering, floating

They say that Snow White
fell out with Cinderella,
And with her she was clinging,
pulling her hair...
So said the maiden...
- She is as dry as a mango
in the mouth of a toothless gal.. !

Why is snow always white?
It's the question on my mind.
I asked the folks I thought would know,
but, no answer could I find!
Though, I thought it wont be easy
For me to find out why
snow is always white
but I sure am gonna try.
First I have to figure out
what other color snow could be?
It would have to be pastel, of course!
At least, that's how it seemed to me.
None of our basic colors would work
except maybe yellow or pink.
The other colors would be too dark
at least that's what I think!
So I thought about it long and hard,
why snow is always white?
After looking all around outside,
I think I finally figured right!
All of the colorful flowers and trees,
the beautiful blue in the sky!
Birds of many, different colors
I no longer wondered why!
There's so much beauty in this world,
it became obvious to me,
how many different colors there are,
just look around and see!
So, the simple answer to my question,
unless I am mistaken,
the reason snow is always white -
the other colors were all taken!
Evil Queen
Her face, a jealous green
The mirror on the wall
Black heart could not forestall
Snow White
Her beauty did ignite
Ruby lips and raven hair
Seven dwarves were quite aware
