Little Bird

If a little bird told me a secret,
how did it know in the first place?
Had to clean up the mess on my sleeve.

Ace Up My Sleeve

Cold cards cold sweat shuffling cheques
Bait in the water but no one bets
Blinds drag slow the table is tight
Limp to the river it’s hunting night

Sharks circle the weak swim near
I smell blood my time is here
Pocket hustle slick and clean
They chase a wheel they chase a dream

False bravado overplayed
A reckless wager and price unpaid
Flop flips

The Sleeve

The sleeve is torn
The one I lay my heart on
Ragged, threadbare, and worn...

I long for you O Lord,
Long to be seen,
To be redeemed by Love's great mystery...

Let the Son rise in my soul...let your river overflow
Let your Spirit burn so bright,
And drive away the night!

What's Up Her Sleeve

    A world without God men have created
       something for centuries they've contemplated

    Though ‘nature abhors a vacuum’ men still believe
       Drugs, Degradation and Death ~ now up her sleeve 

My Sleeve

Before I was aware
I used you to pacify myself, back then I used my mouth to explore the world.
Later, you became a napkin. 
Ok, I'll admit, a Kleenex oftentimes.
How I long for those days of simplicity!
Because now, and maybe for the rest of my days
You are just outerwear for my heart.

I used to wear my heart on my sleeve
now what i see is what i believe
some guys lie some guys decieve
some promise the earth
then give you a grain of soil
always know your true worth
doing the best that you can
knowing  the  real truth 
its better to take refuge in the Lord
than to trust in

Pink and blue
Think of you
Sunset in full view

Special time
Need to rhyme
I never had a clue
 
How much I'd love
This writing of
All my thoughts in phrase

Ode and song
Short or long
All my living days

Spent in thought
Bluebird sought
Make for her a nest

Scan the skies
For her eyes
Bluer than the rest 

Lined with down
An evening gown
A feather bed so soft

Lilac

Came coat-sleeve buttons to peeve

I thought buttons were born but to fasten,
Or if not, as added frill to fashion,
But not those on coat-sleeve—
They were placed there to peeve,
To teach a wiping nose a sure lesson!

Up My Sleeve.

I turned over the Ace !
In,  an uncut moment.
         Your choice !  
slipped from below 
           revealed !
"The Diamond King"
         from a slick,
rough timed finger.

Sleeve

Standing here with my heart on my sleeve
Trying to do no wrong 
It doesn't matter what you believe
The day's they seem so long
I'm reaching for that something I just can't see
Time and time again it's gone wrong
Dreaming of what used to be
Brain fumbling for the right word
Love is something that  comes and there 

My Ace Up the Sleeve - In Bidens Own Words

I'm senile, demented, a has been, a dud,
At least that's the story, the Republican fad,
Yet little they know in their haste to throw dirt,
That they're helping my cause with their views so absurd.

Each arrow they fly with anger and speed
Is akin to a child that as yet doesn't read,
It has no direction it lands off

Night's Sleeve

I was trapped in a fast-food drive thru.
From inside the sleeve of night. 
A man with crow eyes violated my blind spot...
Vomited something incoherent straight into my soul.
He then darted toward the car behind me...
Then slithered back into night's sleeve-

Heart

I wear my heart on my sleeve,
Though now it is battered and bloody,
I fall in love so quickly,
Learning and feeling so much at once,
Those I love release my heart,
Letting it fall from my sleeve,
There are cracks and tears,
Yet still, my heart remains upon my sleeve,
Some have attempted,
Truly, in earnest,
To repair these injuries, 
Although soon enough,

Heart on my sleeve now
So everyone can see it
I get hurt a lot

On My Sleeve

I know more things
than I can tell

The water deep
within my well

I wish for more
than hope can stand

Obeying Thee
