My son, the college professor
comes home for a visit.
He leaves with all his shirts
ironed, my heart on
every sleeve.
the sound of buzzing
announcing his intention
a sharp reminder
not to ignore a warning
ice melting down my shirt sleeve
Caregiver, full of love.
Heart on her sleeve.
Exudes optimism.
Robust disposition.
Yearns to learn.
Lad producer in trio.
All I am is me;
Broken heart worn on my sleeve;
Forever friend zoned,
A fight with ‘unloveable’;
Yet, a hopeless romantic.
People always run,
can’t tell you what I’m thinking;
I am terrified
can’t hide what is on my sleeve;
Quietly I wear a smile.
If a little bird told me a secret,
how did it know in the first place?
Had to clean up the mess on my sleeve.
Can't take my thy from thee,
Thine eyes from these,
Those arms from round
This neck and sleeve,
I believe are bound
By love's beauty.
Naïve minds can barely perceive
The tricks that reside up a sleeve
Surgery plastic
Achieves the fantastic
Deception men want to believe
You want perfection
Fallen from star-studded skies
To fulfill your dreams,
But have you looked up your sleeve,
How many grants do you keep
When it comes to you,
I've worn my heart on
my sleeve,
But you still have no clue
how I feel about you.

The Garden of Eden had a snake
That slithered around when on the make
It found that Eve
Fit like a sleeve
'til Adam's apple snagged the mistake
for once I’ll wear my heart on my sleeve and let the chips fall where they may

My feelings
Fly high as can be
Calming words
Tender kiss
My heart is worn on a sleeve
She knows what I mean

Couldn't hide his coy smile
He definitely had something up his sleeve
Mischief was on his mind

my freshly pressed frilly white blouse~
mother's soft wrinkled hand comes through sleeve
I lift the sleeve of time and years
To a little grass hut that brings wistful tears
for fragrant leis and Koa bowls
For rainbows arc-and friendly souls.
There once was a boy named Steve
who was always asked to leave,
for he'd let his snot drip,
dislodge it with a flip,
then wipe his nose on his sleeve.
I prefer viynal to CD
Cover art work and sleeve
A sides and B
Sit down and listen
Get up again, turn over
Sit down and listen again.
And listen again.
Placing your heart on your sleeve
Opening the doors to you soul
Etching out a path for yourself
Talking to a friend
Reaching for a star
Yearning for love.
There once was a man who took issue
With using his sleeve as a tissue
Handkerchiefs hadn't any
And head colds too many
Could not blow his schnoz if he wished to!
Some wear their feelings on their sleeve
Others bury them deep inside, yet
What with social media so ubiquitous
There's really no place left to hide

There once was a boy named Steve
who was often told to leave
for he'd squat and poop
on his neighbor’s stoop
and wipe his ass with his sleeve.
A flame red lipstick
With black laced sleeve blouse and skirt
Combined with high heels
Mirrors reenergized mood
Radiating with splendor

IF I wear my heart on my sleeve
WE'RE both going to be
TOO positively
AFRAID of the imagination's ability
TO seep into reality and
TRY to fulfill two lovers' fantasies
