A classic wind upstaged the evening,
Vocalizing Leaves and Tremulous Aria
Branches. On accompanying fused-sand, framed
and clear, began a run of finely tuned
rivulets -- busy writing, I had not
looked, and saw, dark clouds conjugating --
nor sniffed thickening troops of air~ my
sinuses alerting, their usual swelling. Came a lantern's
flash, came a vivid slash, rumbling
likened to a heavily weighted freight-train, with frantic
mind to lighten its burdensome, brooding load.

in a leather jacket
birthday cake sandwiches help
clear my sinuses
Googly Hancock; and backseat baristas
Bob Dylan is back in the studio
did he pop out to the shops? Where's he been?
Big Daddy Kane outside Dapper Dan's -
You tossed a coin in the fountain
Wishing to be as happy as a blue cat
storckappopotamus
there will be no custard creams at my wake
nor chocolate bourbons;
take a long walk off a short pier
homewreckers and g'day mate cubes

The poet speaks of madness--madness similar
to what? What was spoken before this silly syllabus?
Each ant, lifting and carrying, adds bundles of dried
and curled rose petals to the soup simmerings.
Now, each ant stomps rose petals into a silken
gown, as if one could insult a shimmering insect.
The poet further sings of madness, high pitched at
times, then sliding an octave lower for suspense.
The ants love to nap on rose petals, dreaming of
rose scents which they store in their sinuses.
Rose petal soup simmers in ant kitchens calming
an parents and poets--driving ant babies senseless.
The madcap poet imagines herself simmering,
relaxing in a fragrant kitchen full of ants.

In days of yore
her husband snored
Her nightly grief
knew no relief
But then by chance
she learned to pole-dance
which promptly cleared his sinuses
~ Though that had its plusses and minuses

A cough and a sneeze
another tissue please
Nose runny throat sore
fatigue and feeling wore
Slight fever lost appetite
wanting it to end to feel right.
Vicks rub on the chest
a little under and in the nose
Wool socks upon the feet
gotta warm those toes
Plop plop fizz fizz
tickles down the hatch
Couch drops and a cozy couch
for those daytime naps.
Steam the room with a vapo machine
and unclog sinuses breathe right
Extra blankets and big fluffy pillow
with NyQuil to sleep all night
Eat hot chicken soup from a can
drink 7 UP in orange juice
Speak with a funny cold's voice
mask up if you are out on the loose.
The older you are the longer they stay
stubborn head colds won't go way
Suck on lozenges for that throat
resist chewing them just don't
And one day you will wake anew
that old head cold is through with you.

When I dream
of seeing myself on the New Earth
I feel at home with the Lord
always the feeling joy, peace and tranquility
through the golden city of twelve pearly gates
no longer will I need to wear my glasses
no longer will I have to suffer from sinuses
menstrual cycles or neurotic disorders
because the father will reconstruct my body and soul
I dream of my face and hair
appearing as radiant as emeralds in the sunlight
no cover ups, filters, perms or dyes
more elegant than my mundane flesh
or even a gazelle wandering the fields
I will even wear brand new clothes
no jeans, t-shirts or flip flops
but an unspoiled gown of white fabric
more superior than
gleaming sapphires and rubies
mirroring those at the Transfiguration of Jesus

Spring's classic charm - highly overrated,
Perhaps because it follows winter sleet.
Its new beginnings too animated,
Its poetic praise rather obsolete.
Forget the fragrant flowers’ faulty fact,
They come with mucky, rainy, fungal soil,
Outraging my respiratory tract,
Sending my sinuses into turmoil.
Way worse - the whooping wake of ugly bugs!
Buzzing, you bet, for an imminent bite,
I deem them all to be invasive thugs,
Let alone their unwelcome horrid sight.
Spring's in the air, lovers' first stolen kiss?!
Pollen is there, a nightmare, not a bliss!

You would think
something would be there,
rattling in your brain,
worth writing down.
And you would be wrong.
Chills in waves,
sinuses are raw,
pressure on the eyes,
cicadas buzz the ears
in a monotone song.
Pushing text around,
edits here and there,
delete key winning out,
nothing very strong.
Drag myself outside,
Missy needs a walk,
living in the moment,
bringing me along.

To the unknown sports car driver
Who caused us so much fright
May the roads be full of traffic
When you attempt to turn right.
May you spend many hours
Constantly being stuck
Behind a series of slow moving
Wide loaded trucks
May all the traffic lights
Be stuck at stop
And no comfort stations
When you need a pit stop.
May there be many road works
On your every single trip
May every pair of your trousers
Develop a jammed fly zip
May your ears fill with wax
May your sinuses explode
Any non lethal condition
That keeps you off the road.
May your testosterone levels
Very quickly plummet and drop
And all your sexual urges
Come to an abrupt stop
The way that you drive
The last thing we need
Is for you to be able
To continue to breed.
I may just be a little biased
Mr Dangerous Road Hog
But i feel you should be
Treated like a rabid dog.
If you live the rest your life
The same way that you drive
It would probably be better
If you really weren’t alive.

Listen to 11:11 by Londrelle
It was constantly on my playlist
while I was making it through hell
Most couldn't tell
I look normal to them
my mind still in a cell
I made it out, oh God, I'm free!
1111 my wish come true is Me
I surrender to thee
Meaning, G.O.D, I surrender to Me
11:11 portal is open
so is my heart, crown, throat, chakras
they're open
the incense is potent
The incense is potent, my sinuses & senses are open
I finished up coping & hopin'
I know now I am here now
11/11, sometimes I think how?
Everyday, I think wow! God is good
and If You're Reading This, its BEEN understood

Farewell, au revoir, goodbye, convivial summer.
The day is late now, and the breeze is warmer.
A vacant ocean-side barricaded motel.
Wild geese are soon flying in lines as well.
Vacation homes drop their literate barricades.
This rich sweeping green tone will soon fade.
In this season, buds and fruits are abundant.
Melons and garden load are ardent.
Tanned skin, sailboats, and folded linen suits.
When the world is more positive than disputes,
Pollen irritates the sinuses of sensitive patients.
Now they've fled to the farm, the coast nascent.
Stop their passing endeavor at escape.
The Ferris wheel in LEGOLAND is agape.
The Cape no longer trades in quirkiness.
A glum family descends from the murkiness.
To welcome their offspring back from camp.
Mature year, scarlet maple boughs, raised scamp.
Sunburned shoulders disappear at summer's end.
Goodbye to the peasant's headband.
Goodbye storms and dirty white shoes.
Goodbye summer friends, pants, shorts, and cruse.
Farewell, tennis peculiar desire to be difficult.
Farewell picnics, ice tea, and plane trips, munificent.

A field full of lovely black-eyed susans
A patch of ground I must view from afar,
For my allergies flare at the intrusions
My sinuses start burning like fire.
My eyes erupt in uncontrollable tears,
The nasal passages completely plug up,
I feel like my head is about to explode
I’ll have a miserable allergic flare-up.
Ragweed causes a similar reaction
Whenever I am near it, sight unseen,
So, I have learned to avoid these plants
Allergy sufferers will know what I mean!

Someone has sprinkled fairy dust all about
It seems this yellow stuff that’s coating all
‘Tis the annual springtime pollen settling,
If I could stop sneezing, I’d give out a shout.
But since my nose and sinuses are rebelling
It’s probably best to keep my nostrils inside
With an assortment of pungent nasal sniffs,
And spray the outside of my humble dwelling.
My farmer friend tells me pollen is important
Actually, he says it is the honeybees’ friend
But I’d be too stuffy to produce any honey
In that regard, I suppose I am very fortunate.

I am amazed at the rolling clouds roll by
my sinuses persist to throb
I see those moving leaves on the maple trees
I feel the warmth of the surrounding flowers
I see drops of dew rising from the grasses
How can this be you say?
"You see I AM BLIND"
