Listen to poem:
Frothing, frigid fjords
Fling forth fine stippled
Salmon, streaking upstream.
Roe-rich fish, flashing
Fat and fulgent:
Spurred to spawn, to spurt
Then sputter -- spasmodic.
Spectral. Unspared....

Diametric
In the tidy confines
of a cluttered mind
rests the timid notion
that lines taunt human

flaws foreign to the
forces nature conjures
in graceful arcs and
orbits, waves of ripe

marrow rippling with
stippled energies
ever-coursing from
all bounding cells....

With the Feet of Mercury
sunlight calling
I fly along a path
through parks and trees
nature’s song in a breeze
footsteps light
I’m buoyed by dreams
stippled waters
gentle waking
early reflections
of a tranquil stream
morning’s call
conversations with spirits rise
beyond mere flesh and bones...

Pursuit
A clement breeze brushing over skin,
A salty scent breathed deep.
Eyes closed, waves heard below,
A muffled crashing,
A cool, gentle spray.
Eyes open, ebony ocean,
Stippled with touches of moonlight.
Rushing air caressing fingers,
Higher above the water.

A million grains of sand shifting under foot.

Still....

The Orange
The orange cool in my hands
blood orange open in the moonlight
breathing in the fresh scent
the juices savory stroke my lips
blood orange open in the moonlight
plump and painted red in my hand

Counting Deer
There are five perhaps six, maybe more? There's always the invisible when observing deer. A speckled group braids a tangled grove. Stippled light shapes, not their appearance but their disappearance. Deeper in the trees there are mottles and flecks, a sun-streaked shimmering. Deer thread leaf and bough, floating over pools of light and shade. I watch tallying their invisible sum on a green abacus.

Dappled Winds

Phantom gliders in the sky rise at day
To rush the firmament on dappled winds,
Heaven’s piebald appaloosas at play,
Brindled tempests ruffle zephyr’s fringes
On stippled flurries in mistral tinges -
Flecks of dirges – the haunting calls of loons –
Laugh with ecstasy at mosaic breeze,
Born from the mottled rainbow’s pure cocoon,
In a dappled dance of impish teases.

Premium Member Dawn Awakes
Autumn's moon truly radiant and playful,
In a stippled and midnight blue hues.

Fragile is the troth with nature.
    Falling, trembling, withered leaves,
      Drift throughout gravel beneath;
Dapple shadow cast across the ground in stillness.

Silence surge as nascent darkness draws.
Snappish breeze, spring up slicing through darkness,
Lays a gentle kiss, and it slowly fades.

Stillness, a breath, the wakeful light of dawn awakes.
