Firefly Affair
Romanced muskiness-
night highlights insect flambeau
signaling love’s code;
amour pheromones broadcast,
firefly affair caught, hand held.

Night Sky Ecstasy
Transcended, these mortal feelings
For time and place.
Sucked into this fiery swirling
Ocean of space.

Prevailed on, but intoxicatingly.
As though entranced.
Out of oneself, on life's grand quest *
A soul - romanced.

* For meaning...

Premium Member Alone Together
Wrapped inside a blanket
Staring at the sky
Witnessing night's onset
The color of your eyes
The setting sun recalling
The remaining light of day
Left now in the darkness
Unspoken words we say
Tender love in action
Experiencing dreams
Nothing said between us
Romanced by moonbeams...

I snowed love

I showed love
   In Warsaw

I kissed love
   In Paris
I romanced love
   In Rome

I showered love
   In London
I lived love
  In Sweden

I sited love
   In Dubai
I tasted love
   In Mumbai

I burnt love
   In Jamaica
I fell in love
   In Africa...

Premium Member Rainbow - a Pleiades
Ribbon arcs across skies;
Red, orange and yellow
Revel with blue, green and
Ravishing violet
Romanced by indigo --
Revealed by raindrops’ slick
Rifts of the sun’s white light

Premium Member Day
In timeless fashion
In wordless passion
The moon beams for you
The clouds play hide and seek
The stars eyes twinkled on you
The sun rays brighten up your day
While the heat lay kisses on your cheeks
The wind danced and blew your cares away
The birds sang sweetly filling the day with song
In timeless fashion, wordless passion this day romanced you....

Lovely Receptionist Is Cute
Lovely Receptionist Is Cute

We had told the whole truth to the tooth;
Then again told whole truth to the tooth;
Tooth to tooth danced,
And we had romanced;
We have tried to get to root of the truth.

For my famious dentist did start to root,
We understand at his talent he is astute;
Problem  solved;
Cavity dissolved;
Also, his lovely receptionist is very cute.

Fidelity Cries
Marrying war
the true soldier is wed
Betrothal of blood
asleep in his bed

The men he would die for
as groomsmen rejoice
A vow ringed in glory
his weapon of choice

The years become marked
by each battle romanced
Anniversaries pledged
at the point of a lance

Divorce not an option
fidelity cries
His love bleeding freely
—with honor his bride

I'Ve Danced On Tables
I’ve danced on tables

My boots laced high

I have that kinda style

Cognac in one hand

Tambourine in another

I go on for miles

Songs of sorrow

Songs of love

Sweeping the night time air

Stars all aglitter

A toast to you

Glasses raised high in the air

We sang and we danced

We laughed and romanced

Days that lasted forever

Now we look on

As they dance to our song

Our days have but gently ended...

The Endless Cycle
Delivering what we said we wanted,
wrapped in dirt and mud
The politician slashed and burned,
and each time drawing blood

He tapped into our memory,
with fear and recompense
Reminding what the past was like,
with promises incensed

He sang old songs, romanced the strong,
the weak then cast away
The jungle’s laws put back in place
—our hopes and wishes preyed

(Villanova Pennsylvania: September, 2020)...

Lost Love
I have no memory of its companionship.
Solace gloom surrounds me, slipping away in the distance.
Lost forever, never to find it, only a shadow of what was.
Words never to be spoken again.
The silence, suffocating me while being romanced.
As a bride who lost her husband on the wedding day.
Empty covered bottles, never to be filled, collecting dust.
Taking me further away, without being close.
Searching for happiness, never to be found....

A Lovers Fantasy
I kissed you in the morning, Softly as you opened your eyes... I made love to you in the afternoon, Crepted and ravished you with intensity cause you love a sursprise... I romanced you in the evening, For I am your's and you are mines... And when it comes to loving you there's just no compromise... Aiming to make everyday an adventure, By turning our dreams into our reality and not just what we fantasize... Just a lovers word to the wise!!!!

Fragile
Painting #6 Theater by Mary Cassatte 1879

Fragile

Captivated, alive,
every ounce of her being,
coming to life, every delicate
emotion danced.

Every mastered note romanced
her deeply, a love affair long-lasting
dare not end tonight, dare not
bow as the curtain closes
hiding from her
fluttering heart.

Sounding off as the drumbeat
fades into the dressing room,
reveal your face. She beckons
her love as the
curtain remains
closed....

Seraph
Perpetual beauty as such leaves me flawed,
It holds me in its rhythm, entranced,
My reason for, my ardour,
My pride deepens, my valour romanced.

Frozen in time, fatherhood sublime,
You hold my heart and capture my being,
You are the meaning, the reason I survive,
I will always be there for my girls, empyrean.

As the sand falls, I’ll be my all,
Until I’m gone an am nothing but dust,
I will cherish you all until I am called,
My love for you, as always robust....

Premium Member Geisha Grin
Green geisha grins
Charming the gentlemen
Eyes like chocolate pools
Drown in their sweetness
Their sweetness uniqueness
Able to sweep away grief
Smiling and styling
Dance romanced by
Graceful hands following
The glance of envy
Avoiding sin of selfish men
Entertaining in elegance
Geisha wrist gives a twist
Pouring hot tea delicately
With a sip from lotus lip
Chatter flatters intelligently
You will always wish
For a confetti kiss
Celebrated but not cheap
Not free....

The Astronaut's Wife
As he hastily prepared on the side of the moon,
she stood on top of the earth too,
both were indeed married too soon,
but her passion ebbed true,

she howled his name to the moon over and over,
until coyotes cried in her plight,
and the tide beckoned to her lover,
whose breath romanced the waters at night,

eclipsed the heavens a flashing bath,
the Astronaut's wife-heave does her heart in a row,
as a shooting star guided to earth,
come dawn, he will be home to end her sorrow....

Premium Member The Nocturnal Butterfly
This is the tale of the butterfly that danced
by the light of the moon --and its song-- entranced
(it's possible, without having even glanced
like: unicorns are real-- just horses enhanced
and perhaps Santa's reindeer --on Christmas-- pranced
Believe!-- if your imagination's advanced)
...well, this butterfly by the Moon was romanced
throwing caution to the wind, its safety-- chanced
free-floating, no choreography financed
way past her curfew -- understand, if you canst...
