Fragile

Painting #6 Theater by Mary Cassatte 1879

Fragile

Captivated, alive,
every ounce of her being,
coming to life, every delicate
emotion danced.

Every mastered note romanced
her deeply, a love affair long-lasting
dare not end tonight, dare not
bow as the curtain closes
hiding from her
fluttering heart.

Sounding off as the drumbeat
fades into the dressing room,
reveal your face. She beckons
her love as the
curtain remains
closed.

A profound piece, with a great choice of words, Danetta. Really like the impact of the closed curtain at the end.

Thank you Michael. Debbie Guzzi's challenge is really helping me a lot. :)
