The Nocturnal Butterfly

This is the tale of the butterfly that danced
by the light of the moon --and its song-- entranced
(it's possible, without having even glanced
like: unicorns are real-- just horses enhanced
and perhaps Santa's reindeer --on Christmas-- pranced
Believe!-- if your imagination's advanced)
...well, this butterfly by the Moon was romanced
throwing caution to the wind, its safety-- chanced
free-floating, no choreography financed
way past her curfew -- understand, if you canst...
