Love these lines -- "With a sip from lotus lip;" "For a confetti kiss." Am reminded of Pearl Buck's novel, 'The Good Earth.' Nice imaging, Karen!

Dear karen, ive missed reading your work; and i am not at all disappointed reading this amazing poem with such descriptive imagery flowing throughout your lines: Its so amazing and fascinating to watch geishas, and their work in especially movies, they are indeed so graceful and i love how youv written “ Pouring hot tea delicately With a sip from lotus lip Chatter flatters intelligently You will always wish For a confetti kiss“ delicately soulful and so well delivered. Pleasure reading.

When I was in Epcot we called to Japan and I asked a couple of geishas could I have my pic taken with them, they were so friendly. Hope you're keeping well Karen. Enjoy your weekend. Tom

I'm always been a wee bit fascinated with Geishas. You've beautifully captured their almost mystical beauty...'dance romanced by graceful hands' That's such a vivid image! Your poem brought to mind the Geisha doll my brother-in-law brought me after she returned from living in Japan...made of porcelain and wears a red silk outfit. Enjoyed the read; have a pleasant eveing, Sara

Beauty draws you in like a magnet, but the dance might just be your undoing. Nothing is free in this world.
