Departure

Off to Florida he stomps
On the lawn, one final chomp
He did what he said
He pardoned the dead
As he leaves, he drains the swamp

The Cross

He split the veil…He pardoned me.
Forgave my debt…Set me free.
Now He’s my priest…He offered for me
A one-time sacrifice…at Calvary.

Name Dropper

Richard Nixon was quite slick
 Most just called him tricky dick
  But it was in Watergate
 that he did participate
 Ford pardoned him very quick

Presidential Pardons

by Wayne Wysocki

As the president pardoned the turkey
From a fate so horribly grim,
He couldn't help but wonder
Who would be pardoning him.

Blood Clot and Boycott

Blood Clot and Boycott

Rather than crossing lines and boycott,
We did have a drink called blood clot,
And then hardened;
From jail pardoned;
After we would finish it, hit the spot.

Hurt Prowls Down This Loss

Heartbreak’s hollow hold has hardened.

Piercing past pools pain has pardoned.

Dying dreams drift on dire descents.

Lost in the loneliness, languid love’s lament.

At the Altar of Love

constant sorrows
gives way to
accidental
lust
at the beach by the wave
witnessing stars beaming moon
strangers merge holding time
i delivered confessing
she pardoned sinning
at the altar of
lustful love

There once was an old poet who gardened Until she found something bad there hardened A rattlesnake with raised fangs Eye to eye combat with gangs Snake go to the woods for you are pardoned

Left Carolina With An Angina

Left Carolina with an Angina

Had broken our hearts when we left Carolina;
Not only that what we all had was an angina;
Arteries hardened,
When not pardoned;
Is hereditarily declared in genes in our saliva.

Peanut Butter and Jelly

PEANUT BUTTER AND JELLY

       turkeys are gobbling
   up laughter as prices rise
thankful for the heat
   off their guard, bag their giblets,
      the axe only pardons two

Trial

There is a trial against me,
I have been punished and cannot be appealed
I guess it is severe than “Life imprisonment”
Or a “Capital Punishment”, sins would be pardoned in heaven
A crime neither I am aware of nor shared
Eternal mental torture I have to bear
The verdict passed with my birth

Being Saved

In the past I was weak
Feeling of emptiness and fear
My heart was bleak
But now I am here
My mistakes still haunt me
From time to time
But now I am free
God has pardoned my crime
When He sent Jesus
To die on the cross
Our sins were washed away
Now we look upon a brand new day
His sacrifice lives forever
So we may live eternally
Up in heaven
Our peaceful home

The Convict

Young afraid heard tales told
Boarded upon ships
Not in search of gold
Far from family home
Life of drudgery

Mary Bryant
Daring lady
She escaped
Facing dangers

New life hers
Soon found out
Sent back home

Famous
Was she

Pardoned

(Loosely based on the story of Mary Bryant who was in prison in Whales and sent to
Australia to serve out her sentence.)

Forgiven

Forgiven* by God, I'm pardoned from sins’ corruption ...verily secured of my redemption-seal. While experiencing His transformation-power, I stay fulfilled in His blessed will ...sharing His salvation-Gospel leading others to Christ with joy along my faith-propelled freedom.

One Day Ye Shall Be Pardoned

This night is for you Howling and crawling on earth Sleepless and tired Sweet memoirs haunting With fangs of blames Ditching into the trench of loneliness Soulless and ruthless I am Draining into the sin of cursing myself This night is for you Under the cozy blanket of pain The pain of loss The pain of curse and the pain Of regret One day ye shall be pardoned -puvi- (15/5/2013)

Pondering in Pastures

Pretty pink and purple poppies
 perfume peaceful pastures and
 prance into picturesque poses.
 Proud patterns in pale light
paint playful pictures
 in dust particles like
 pinpricks of precise punctuation.
Promises are preached, pondered, prayed for
and proven in this patient pastime.
 Pushed, pulled, put and pardoned
 by a precious and pure performance
 in her powerful presence...
preserving this preceived poetry.

Changed Man

Changed Man By: Tom Wright 4-3-2006 I’m not the same man that you used to see, With the stench of sin lingering to my core, My transgressions were pardoned at Calvary, The burden of my sin Jesus Christ gladly bore. He drunk of the cup for all mankind that day, Guiltless but willing, covered with my dross, “Forgive them father” near the end, he did pray, T’was love not spikes, which held him to the cross.

A Soul Redeemed

A prisoner in a world my own
I'm bound by my own chains
The ball I drag is my troubled past
My closet hides remains

My trials and tribulations
Are misfortunes of my own
Found guilty by my conscience
I pay the price alone

Many years have since gone by
The past is in the past
I've shown mercy to myself
My minds at ease at last

By my conscience I've been pardoned
I've served out many days
My soul it self has been redeemed
My past is wiped away

Nigerian Changes Money

While walking around like Satan
I met today’s Weaker Nathan
And was set to accuse the brethren
Then not in church with his children…

Because of the feared dead line
For end of old currency,
Now in banks yielding a scared line
And scenes of genuine urgency!

“Sunday and you’ve priest abandoned!
God! This fool shouldn’t be pardoned
Elder and his pastor Burden…

Let me off all banks cordon,
To federal capital fly:
Meet president, to you Housefly…

Rock Garden

ROCK GARDEN by James Edward Lee Sr.

You were my main stay;
You were my rock;
Extremely strong reliable faithful;
Hard foundations a cornerstone;
Nurturing tower of strength;
Faithful enduring yellow flower;
A small pebble in a sea of rocks;
This so God graciously created you for that...
I've been diminished and pardoned;
The Lord God loan you to me for the hour;
You're my flower and a rock this is your garden
Carmen's Rock garden...

My Lord Why Have You Abandoned Me

06-07-2022

My Lord
Why do I feel like You have abandoned
Me why do I feel like You don’t come aboard
When I ask to be pardoned

Do the sins I commit
Make You turn Your back
On me will I ever meet
The standard You set even when I lack

The ability to do so I pray I fast I sin
Just like anyone with flaws
Just like anyone who wants to win
You over and obey all Your laws

Without You my Lord You know there’s no life
And I can’t even for a sec a day survive

The Color of Holy Water

It's not the color of Your skin
that redeemed and pardoned me from sin

The color and shape of Your nose mattered not
I was killer enemy of me, but You forget me not

You caused colorless rain song to soothe each soul
and showed the lovely rainbow, each shore as school

Where would the world be sans the Savior?
the Creator deemed us all fit for His favor

I know the color red was shed for humanity
Thank You, Jesus, the color of holy water is the Almighty.

The Yield

Night rewrites day, transforms the blues
with ink-wash, urges me to forget

grapples, tasks, drudgery,
hard surfaces and hardened people as all things

soften, lighten, blur— even gravity pulls less
as if the world’s core has pardoned the hefty afternoon.

Sheets pouch this body, pillows
accept every sigh. Sleep is a leave-taking,

a poetic restoration of sense and mindfulness.
Faultless, this need to submit, this appeal to let go. Just let it go.

He Was Pierced

Holy One, God's own Son, PIERCED for me
Every sin, put Him there, on that cross

What love, I know not why, SAVING Grace
Alone, apart from God, The Father
Separated, by your sins and mine

Pardoned, by His sacrifice, He GAVE
I, so unworthy, yet so grateful
Everlasting assurance, FINISHED
Restored, through Christ's shed blood, I AM FREE
Conquering death, Jesus ROSE again
Even now, sitting at God's right hand
Day and night, I thank Him, PIERCED for me.
