A Soul Redeemed

A prisoner in a world my own
I'm bound by my own chains
The ball I drag is my troubled past
My closet hides remains

My trials and tribulations
Are misfortunes of my own
Found guilty by my conscience
I pay the price alone

Many years have since gone by
The past is in the past
I've shown mercy to myself
My minds at ease at last

By my conscience I've been pardoned
I've served out many days
My soul it self has been redeemed
My past is wiped away
