earth turned bald.
skyscrapers loom bold.
waste hideously piled.
toxins profusely spilled.
nature cruelly defiled.
we stand greatly appalled!

Age
Trembling hands highlight
Misshapen fingers
Reaching, remembering
Smoothness and beauty;
Webs of lined skin
Have their own charm
Like a treasured tapestry;
Hearing has dimmed
But eyes are alert:
Watching, observing
With wisdom of age....

A Snowy Day
I can recall it snowed one night,
And everywhere was soft and white.
I built a snowman - what a fright!
Misshapen, he was hardly right;
His face was like he’d lost a fight.
Although back then, filled with delight,
I thought he was a splendid sight....

Time
Time
	His middle was like a tree trunk
	You could see how his time was passing
	Through the holes in his belt
	Each of them frayed and misshapen
	Before it was discarded for a new one
	Round, perfect
	Ever further from the beginning
	Ever closer to the end...

Misshapen
Every time you think you need to fill your mind's eye.
The astigmatisms are misshapen and left follows right.
A octave a slightly askewed.
A sharp is high and rude.
Fortune fountains explode empty then die,
Subconscience that's conscience and both Darkness and in Light....

Deflated Spirits, Deflated Balloon
Misshapen flimsy mass
Rubbage under foot
Wet with spittle and DNA
Morphing into a Dali
Time melting away
Family needs more
Rubbage on the floor
Unmoving joints staring eyes
Hollow unfelt emotions
Sweep over like a helium balloon
Surrealism opens the chest of me
Deflated spirit; deflated balloon...

Call-Backs,Fallen Nests, Empty Nest, Snakes Alive
A nesting is but invaded
All nestlings abandoned
But ‘four’ eggs shelled?

Mother bird is gone
Many a tuft of feathers
Drying in the winds!

Broken twigs have bent
The nest will sit misshapen
Under treed branches above!

Mother overhead flees
Skyward tweeting call-back cries
A hungry snake waits!...

THE FLOWER THAT fails TO BLOOM--

...looking out into the garden;
seeing nothing but brownish hue;
petals wrinkled and misshapen;
What am I to do?
Broken steams...
Brownest bulbs and petals;
Burn a blazed withered summer swoon;
At the flower that fails to bloom;

Welcome To the 21st Century
It was going to be grand not just any new year.
Great changes and wonderful things were to happen.
In the new millennium there would be nothing to fear.

It’s almost 2011 and the world has been misshapen
And for many it has become abundantly clear
Only crazy changes and awful things happen
Proving one thing “the end must be near”....

Relapse
Damn, I thought I was past this,
At least on the surface.
Mangled misshapen life.
Back to drag me down.

Drives everyone away,
This ... sickness,
It poisons the corners of my mind.
I retreat into the darkest corner,
To find it waiting.

It grins like a Cheshire cat,
Stalks my movements.
Anticipates,
Lies in wait.
Always waiting for...

... a slip?...

Id
I have dreamt of change
Of something more
I dabble in activities but all seem a chore
A daydreamer of conveyance
Wistful of the misshapen course of our lives
Persona non grata
Ambivalent to the world, trapped in eternity
Thoughts hammer at my core
Cloudless eyes perfidy my truth
What sound do thoughts make
An onomatopoetic poet clanging and clashing around in his own head....

Empty
Empty Empty, a crushed milk carton tossed in the trash, small amounts of liquid still lingering in a far off corner at the bottom souring by the minute And as I look down into the wasteland, the photo I see, in black and white, bent and misshapen, creased through the middle as the one missing from my life… is of you Then I realize it is I who am… empty

Winter Frolics
Awoke to see a snowy sight
Glistening pristine overnight
Joyful shouts, a child’s delight

An open doorway front and back
Welly footprints forming a track
Frosty breaths, a snowball’s thwack

Excited children with a plan
“Mum, may we build a huge snowman”
Inventive minds used trash can

It’s base, sturdy as a tree stump
Well covered with each snowy dump
Snow head a misshapen lump

A Broken Toy
Broken toy

A broken toy
Is all I am.

Nothing is perfect on me,
My body shape is to wide,
My smile is to crooked,
My hair is to short,
My legs have to much muscle,
My arms are to small.

Misshapen wings
Lie on my back
For the other men to rip,
As they did to my heart.

My halo has fallen of,
I sit and watch all of these beautiful women
Float with such passion,
But I am stuck here
In a world possessed by beauty....

Unloving Love
Crooked thoughts, misshapen dreams,
 The last one on your mind it seems.
Torn between the love I feel,
 and the angry words you spiel.
You've not yet once, recognized,
 Your part in this, it's all still lies.
Everyone else, you choose to blame,
 With no remorse, regret or shame.
For me the pain is layers deep,
 But somehow in my heart you keep.
And maybe it will always be,
 From far away you're part of me....

Identity
Under a red derided sky
do we masquerade as
misshapen mannequins
within a material vortex
of ubiquitous satirical lies,
as our individuality
is consumed, even crucified
within a mantra of ‘must have’
in a commercialistic existence
we naively profess to accept
and allow to permeate
into our everyday lives,
as ‘they’ bombard our instincts
and distort the innate desires
we so rationally justify
as ‘their’ subliminal messages
enter our sub-conscious minds?...
