but, when eaten
every day they will
prevent the pain

Complete Loss For Words
Complete Loss for Words

For any words we were at a complete loss;
White House has been in a state of chaos,
Toss and turn;
Have heartburn,
Since Trump was President and new boss.

DRUNKEN NOODLES

Drunken noodles with chicken
     wind around my fork;
spicy peppers in thai sauce.
          Stomach coated with
          quality heartburn.
Plum wine cheers:
                               Hot!

Humpty Dumpty
Sheiks and Sultans kingdom's revolt
Citizens ire and fervour a shocking jolt
Unleashing coffers, promising change they molt
While cleansing their streets with rifle and Colt

Western pots fizzle and stew
Chafing but swallowing the spicy brew
Heartburn follows; the potion they slowly chew
The side effects their sensitive systems do rue...

Under the Tree of His Thoughts
Wordsworth's worthy words from heavens,
Ignited ideas with a heartburn,
Evoking my soul with innate relevance,
In the light of 'The Tables Turned',

Predicted in anticipation of such a messenger's entrance,
Distant for decades from the oasis of his literature,
Stayed awaited in a barren existence,
Fortunate, touching his enlightening treasure,...

Sad Remember
I didn't even want
this cold and sunny afternoon,
because I already expected rain
and a taciturn setting
to frame my soul
that restless visits the past,
just to see
that my anguish
have name and address,
if she still lives there,
in that apartment annoyingly ascetic,
clean and white,
with her dragon mood
who suffers from heartburn
....

Blazing Trail
They swim like tadpoles.
Thoughts!
I was waiting at the far end of pond.

Heartburn increases at dusk,
fierce battle of blazing stripes
on blankets.

On the scarlet face
a bridge was burning
in wide open eyes.

Somebody takes an aim
hauling a runaway bruise.
Blood comes out roaring.

Weep, my stars,
ice was thin –
drowning the lake.

Premium Member What Do I Crave the Most
I am not supposed to eat hot peppers
So, what do I crave the most?
I know chili gives me heartburn.
It is my favorite food after hot peppers

Sweets have distorted my body into a costume I no longer recognize.
I reach for sugar most of the time.
And salt.
The other thing I am not supposed to have.

I know better.
I could do better.
But I do not want to, so I don’t....

Uninvited
Into this world of pain and problems I came
Uninvited. Yet you accepted me and gave me the chance
To be the delight of some eyes and a heartburn to many.
And I have tried, the best I could, to give a helping hand
To those who were just but long suffering and unloved
Who aspired but reached not the limelight nor earned
The wealth and fame and honors and comforts of life....

Heartburn
you hear of Love
a cure miracle godsend is Love
you see Love
but it scars blinds bites your eyes
you feel Love
it is rough sharp jagged cuts and
you know that Love
has passed through billions of hearts still
you smell Love
old used charred scent of Love then
you feast on Love
choke chew choke swallow
now you are Love
you burn from the inside out
and there’s no escape...

Heading home from Susie's Diner,
Everyone says there's no finer.
All think Susie's sizzlin' dinners
Really rate as wondrous winners.
There we had the chili cheese fries,
Butterfinger shakes, and fried pies--
Utter Heaven then, but--UH OH!
Rumbling gases threaten--OH, NO!
Now let's fix a great big bromo!

Boundage
Dedicated to a Nun that was raped by a Hindu gang in Orrisa in India.

Bondage dawdles but dauntless rambler.
Glimmers as goblin a goblet gambler.
A heartburn glory chalks a chandelier.
A granite lineage outdistanced gondolier.

Responsive restitution a splitter sponger,
Guttural estuary grumbles bounded cavalier.
A bony strangled receptacle receiver,
Keynote bolted storm violate believer....

Premium Member The Weight of Love
If asked, what could I live without?
Love would not make my list – up to
my ears in years of loveless hearts,
cold to the touch, insensitive to the
word...life without love seems deathly
absurd!

In fact, on my scale, compared to each,
love far outweighs even death's unseasoned,
tasteless reach: taking everything while offering
nothing in return – to my mind, the flavors of
love, always worth every risk of terminal
heartburn.......

Your Poem Total
Your Poem Total

You are coming right along with your poem total
Yet your poem only had evidence that was anecdotal,
And after along for a while it had been wildly totted,
Ended up and turned out to brightly be daily devoted.

There truly was evidence of much discomfort
Which is why it always started to painfully hurt
And an extraordinary moment that was taciturn
It was then I had a horrible case of heartburn.

Right?

The Sick In a Long Queue
If one is sick and in a long queue,
One needs some guy’s immediate rescue.
No challenging one with “it’s my turn”.
What if it’s a bad case of Heartburn?

Let The Sick grab your earned position,
As you make it Quickest Decision!
If one should drop dead from your stern ‘No!’,
Watchers would The Ruthless in you know…

Yet, who is sick and in a long queue
Should know another mission is due:
His many needs reduce to ‘A few’
More focussing on Medical Crew....

On their medications
i probably didn't need

weight gain, desion, heartburn
bowels
and testicular pain

Taken towork 3 jobs for free

where i was almost euthenised by a group of people claiming to be friends

Premium Member Mrs Poet
I rise at the crack of dawn
push-ups with a weight
of ideas – rhymes with my
eggs; a slice of daily bread,
no juice, it gives me heartburn,
so I go right to the ink --

in a manic frenzy
you will find me scratching
and reciting –
               the cat tilts
curiously; the dog whimpers
neglect – my wife is on
the phone again with the
parish priest, still wrapped
in a towel, insisting he
come over, as is,
and begin an exorcism she
saw on You Tube.......

Premium Member I Did Not Anticipate Aging In Advance
Heartburn riled me up smartly,
Woke me up and slammed me on the floor
Before acid reflux could …
Oops. Too late! I ran for the bathroom.

Arthritis laughed and made my feet whimper
It felt like I had broken both my ankles.
Must be raining today, I guessed
As I wretched in the toilet

Eyes joined my face in the mirror
You are pathetic, eyes said, noting my oldness.
Falling apart bit by bit, inch by inch, day by day,
Aging is something I did not anticipate in advance....

Listen to poem:
Symphony

I can't help but talk to you
I'd just love to walk with you
I'm fixed and I'm broken
I dream while I'm woken
There's no place I'd rather be
My heart strings; a symphony
If only you'd sing to me
Those words only spoken

It's magical fantasy
Too hard for this man to see
What's clearly in view
It's shiney, still new
My life was a mess to see
The cards turn; it's destiny
No heartburn or stress to me
The treatment is you.
