Mrs Poet

I rise at the crack of dawn
push-ups with a weight
of ideas – rhymes with my
eggs; a slice of daily bread,
no juice, it gives me heartburn,
so I go right to the ink --

in a manic frenzy
you will find me scratching
and reciting –
               the cat tilts
curiously; the dog whimpers
neglect – my wife is on
the phone again with the
parish priest, still wrapped
in a towel, insisting he
come over, as is,
and begin an exorcism she
saw on You Tube....

I often wonder if it should be re-named (blue tube?) As it allows just enough info to let us Know things are awry.. Yet supresses much i Hear, that causes creators there to in the end Leave for Rumble or Patreon or whatever.? Hi Joe; I hear ya. I agree, most of what we hear, even the silence we are allowed to have, is canned, rehashed old hash, meant to get in the way of clear thinking. Keep minds in constant turmoil, give us our daily dose of prescribed fear -- continue to fleece the minds and souls God's humanity.

Your morning's activities and your daily routine are so humorously narrated. The first stanza is so very interesting. I like the lines- "push-ups with a weight of ideas – rhymes with my eggs;" This has brought a smile to my lips. Have a great weekend, dear Joe!

What the hay; smiles are as important as "one-a-day" and healthful walk. Pleased to assist this morning. Blessings my friend.

Exorcism is serious business and I doubt YouTube knows what's in store for her. Great poetry.

For sure; people should not try all the things they see in media. Exorcism can be deadly for the amateur. Some things are best left to professionals~ like God. He is my sole/soul Authority and Source. Thank you, Victor.

Age 13...ouch! My Sicilian girlfriend's mother would walk around me stomping her feet -- I also still write. Blessings and hugs. Have a great day, Vie.
