What Do I Crave the Most

I am not supposed to eat hot peppers
So, what do I crave the most?
I know chili gives me heartburn.
It is my favorite food after hot peppers

Sweets have distorted my body into a costume I no longer recognize.
I reach for sugar most of the time.
And salt.
The other thing I am not supposed to have.

I know better.
I could do better.
But I do not want to, so I don’t.

L Milton Hankins May 15, 2022 at 8:33 PM Well, unlike me, I hope it doesn't ever catch up with you. I'm not supposed to eat most of those things on pain of death. Gorging on bacon (which I love) put me into the hospital for four days in congestive heart failure. No bacon since! Now, if I could only get past cookies!!!!
