A certain poise, the bagpipes lack
Not being rude, it’s just a fact
The kilt is first-rate

Red in the face, squeezing your sack...

It was a first rate Finnish firetrap
Anyone who stayed was a big sap
I would have to be dead
To lie in that bed
Place not safe enough to take a quick crap...

Seems the words have stopped flowing of late,
but the hill road is turning out great.
We got to the bottom
with time to see autumn,
and the views of the trees are first rate!...

Premium Member jester and his round clocks
Jester collects round clocks
He puts them in his lap
Barely moving, so none of them rocks.
He is a gentleman without flap

Sits primly with his back straight
Protecting his bounty for sure
Jester is a guy first rate
Keeps those clocks pristinely pure...

Night Time Blues
Bluest skies shine bright in the night
stars bright like beams of light
Natures beauty at first rate
best place to go for a date
The look of the night time moon
and the feeling of the sun in mid-afternoon
its darkest before the dawn
but the sun will always rise
and all must go on...

One is one, the fun has begun
Two is a kitty cat's mew

Three is glee, you and me
Four is more, giggles galore

Five is alive, we all thrive
Six is a mix of funny pics

Seven is heaven; so is eleven
Eight is great; really first-rate

Nine is fine, pure sunshine
Ten is a friend ~ a true Godsend...

Premium Member Upside Down Girl
Hanging from an oak branch on a summers day
By knees like I often like to do,
I watched a bluebird fly away
Without a glance and nary a shoo.

Hanging from this limb made me feel great.
Totally rejuvenated me too.
Squirrels compliments sounded first rate.
What better thing for an upside down girl to do?...

The Sound of Gravity: Oops
Oops, oh my gosh
It was an accident, I swear
Never had much panache
That's why your green glass plate
Is on the floor; it's everywhere
But the crash was first-rate
Shards shattering
A sharp glassy sea
Light bounced off, scattering
But don't blame me
It was breathtaking
The fault of gravity
I'm sorry...

Judy Collins
Your singing sounds awfully sweet when I hear Donovan's composition "Sunny Goodge Street". "Send In The Clowns" also sounds great, along with "Suzanne"; they are both first rate. Your greatest hit that made number one was "Both Sides Now". It can't be outdone. All your great songs I continue to play. I'm so glad you're still around today.

Are your thoughts still leading for poetry? Do they leave the audience wanting more? Or born thugs who hide them as a mystery. Are your thoughts still leading for poetry? Scare daylights out of them in memory. Roaring a chainsaw as they reach your door. Are your thoughts still leading for poetry? Do they leave the audience wanting more?

Feeding Frenzy
As usual that Sunday,
we ate at our
favorite Chinese Buffet,
circling round it
like a bunch of sharks,
piling up our plates,
after all we paid $10 bucks a head,
and the food is first rate,
we wanted to get our moneys worth,
and to be well spent!
After eating 10 or more
platefuls a piece,
and barely able to stand on our feet,
we felt full and content,
waddling out to our car,
but for some reason
we couldn't fit!...
