wearing heavy yoke
drawing wooden plow
across the farmland

endeavoring to weed

Dust Storm
Lifting from the Millewa;
swirling to the sky,
billowed to the heavens,
each particle drifts high.
Closing down the clearness
in an ever thickening rust,
from dry and harrowed farmland,
swirls the Mallee dust....

Lets hold our bikinis

when the monkeys giveaway
its farmland to draw nectars.

I come to steal

Freakish Fanny fled fine Finland
For far-fetched Formosa fields,
Forsaking fantastic fiords forever
Forfeiting flourishing forests,
Frigid fertile farmland, festivals
Forgetting feared future fighting.

Cyber takeovers
Are happening all over,
Silent and quiet,
Buying properties,
Real estate, farmland and banks-
Foreign ownerships?

How much today a
Country owns is never clear.
Checked your data yet?

Premium Member Saving Abe
Written on 7/27/2021
By Gail R DeBole
Updated on 8/17/2021

My granddad’s five-dollar bill in hand
Was blown by a breeze through farmland.
Our dog, King, “saved the Abe”
Fetched the bill straight away
To return it to my grandad’s hand.

Kite Fly
Fly kite,
hold tight,

Just right,
delight,

Wind gust,
feel rush,

Lost weight,
for mate,

Have hunch,
too much,

Airborne,
geese horn,

Jet stream,
bad dream,

Farmland,
wish sand,

Lose grip,
kite slip,

Fall fast,
pool crash,

Make wave,
good save!

Premium Member Everyday Heros
Wild country,
Pools of dead water
Glen of scrub and brown brambles
Snow dirtied by traffic and by
Mud thrown up by passing trucks
Farmland , where cattle and sheep huddle
And old homesteads bravely smoking chimneys
Harsh winter farming,
Survival
A dying breed
Working to make a living
The life
Of everyday heros...

Scarecrows
Birds foes

Farmland
They stand

Dress codes
Old clothes

Plus hat
With that

Deploy
Decoy

Away
Birds stay

No fear
This year

Good yield
From field

Without
A doubt

The best
Harvest

Backed by
Straw guy

Straw gal
As well.

(The girl scarecrows do well too lol)

Riverland
Restless river winds.
       winnowing valley farmland.

In Father's garden chickens squawk, squabble.
       Silver sunlight dances.

       Hens spurn gardens bounty,
       for girl in dusty pants,
       rattling evenings grain bowl.
       Prancing single file behind
       fowl feet indent narrow path.

       Wind rustles treetops....

Halloween Lips
Halloween lips are pumpkin's rain
for kissing pulp on smacking brain
And holding love for passion named
in pumpkins born in farmer's lane

When all for one
are fields of pain
In farmland earned
of horror been drain

To harvest led
of food for soul
When Halloween's dead
are on a roll

And kids being said
to travel to
What lips being fed
are nature's dew...

first florid felicitous, falling flurries followed,
froze flowers, foiled!
faraway farmhouse, furrowing farmland,
frigid fanny, furious, frustrated,
frumpy, frazzled!
furry forest friends furnished flannel frock,
finding Freddy's fails funny, frivolity,
fortunately frequent fallible forecasts
found Freddy flying faraway,
fallaciously forecasting for fermented folks!...

Scorpions In the Farm
A farmer stocked in his farm
scorpions to serve him as guards
snakes to give him critical news
black ants to patrol the farmland

Moles he brought as cultivators
locusts to harvest the ripe crops
trusted rats to store the harvests
butterflies to oversee activities

Every creature was industrious
but an enemy appeared suddenly
hurricane came from the high seas
scorpions and all were swept away

Farmer trusted powers he planted
but everything got swept with him...

Love Is the Thing With Fruits
By George P. Lumayag
https://georgelumayag.weebly.com/

Love is the thing with fruits
That nourishes in the hearts
And beats the drum with timing
And never stops beating.

And the fruits are tasted
And the seeds must be planted
That could show love is right
And that would have a bountiful harvest.

I've seen it in the widest farmland
But I've heard it at the mangrove shore
That the fruits were covered with surd
By the drum-beating harvest of a sincere hand....
