A kid starts to whine
When you sit down to dine
In a restaurant costing big money.
Whether he's yours or theirs,
Quite everyone stares
And not one of them thinks it is funny....

Premium Member Poverty Is Expensive
Poverty is expensive
To those already poor -
Costing their time, wages

And spirit, yet they live
A hopeful porter
In their villages -

Subject to elitism.
I, for one, never
Received an invitation....

Proton Therapy
  may be right for you
One-sixth the radiation
  nowhere near as exhausting
And take a look at
  how much less it's costing

Why is traditional
  radiation therapy promoted
Are its insurance coverages
  so sugar-coated...

Premium Member At Every Age
What should be effortless
  with luck at best exhausting
Movements once involuntary
  screaming cramps now costing

At every age there comes a blessing
  or so the preachers say
  Perhaps then mine is that
I curse the night and then the day...

Trump On Health Food Binge
Trump On Health Food Binge

Trump was on a health food binge
Was enough to make you cringe
An easier way there must be
Costing nothing and for free
So fat from body he did singe.

Rain Days Figured In
the line straight, turning the globe
dark and then darker colors passing by
the vivid stream, covering the sun from her
indecency

the day a dank, gray stare
through the glass left over from the last
hurricane

maybe I should go outside and
listen awhile

But, I am worried. I'm goddamn sick
the rain is costing me
money...

Puppy Love
Philter puppy love
when rain drops on
Sweating hot body
in dreaming Zone

Costing null feed
rocks strike silent groan
rebuff brings tornado
for hasty results

pleasing diets
make it rough
wearing Diamond
crazy aircraft, Philter puppy love....

<-- I Want a Yellow "p" Star
I want a star by my poem that is yellow,
I want to join the club, relax on cool and mellow.
I write good poems, well descent, well I can write,
maybe I'll get one if I try with all my might.

I thought poetry was an expression of being free,
by free, I mean costing not even a penny.
Well its my problem I'm broke,
but I want that yellow star like the famous folk....

Today
What tomorrow fought
Seeing double
Worth as much
Costing every dime
Every soul
My very essence
Caress
My eternal abode
United together
The very fabric
Of my taste
Busting my heart
My being
Over the top
Winning
Square away
Never
Leaving as one
Permanent
Elite, never leaving
Self-imposed
Composed
Free loading
Being
Timeless as one
Complete
United
Level of peace
Perfected
And asleep

The sadness had been costing you sorrow. That may daunt you, but it will not kill you. It's just the ground, it is rather narrow. The sadness had been costing you sorrow. You could hear the rest of the tale morrow. Much to say, but your heart still beating too. The sadness had been costing you sorrow. That may daunt you, but it will not kill you.

A Victim of Florence
A Victim of Florence

We are having to stay at Comfort Suites
in Cary, NC until Thursday and hopefully
by then highways and roads will be clear
and we can safely return 150 miles home
to Bolivia, NC. It is costing us $100 a night
and hope our National Homeowners Insurance
will cover some of it. I have not written a
poem in a week now. Florence has really
been messing over my mind.

Violet’s an arrogant bossy cow
I know the farmer knows this now
Luke the farmer says, “It's time to mate her”
Evan the bull moos, “No deal, I hate her”

Violet will not go near the bull
Alas she’ll soon be for the cull
Cos she’s costing money to be fed
Her refusal means soon she’ll be dead
Ending up on our dinner plate

Taboo Tattoo
Where her obscure red rose tattoo was planted you would not believe it; near her bright
hazel batting eyes, above her left brow extending down to the tip of her nose.
Her hair was auburn and unruly.
She was daunting in hot pink and everyone stared because of her exceptional beauty.
It was startling that she was only four.
Luckily the scar was impermanent having come folded in a plastic ball only costing a quarter....

Premium Member Afternoon Tea
Have a cup of tea
Invite who you may in
Provide some cake as well
Stored in that Christmas tin

An afternoon well spent
Some friends around for tea
Sharing the worries and joys
Not even costing a fee

How the time’s gone
Where the company’s so sweet
The last thing to remember
A time again to meet

An afternoon just spent
Brings comfort to some poor soul
Who may need an encouraging word
To aid them in life’s goal

Fame Game For a Silent Friend
Dollars don't grow on trees
Spilling secrets saving scenes
Faltering for all the world to see
Uncongenial uncontrollability
sucking life right out of me

Where do simple answers lay
brooding stables they can stay
jumping hurdles as I pray
pressing for another day
feeling sun gods golden ray

pretentious prohibition
losing hope and inhibition
fame costing an exhibition
slowly caught attrition
lost is the attraction...

Poems About Writing Poems
Poems About Writing Poems

Writing poems is relaxing and not exhausting,
And nothing to me had it ever been costing;
Enjoy mine most,
Do brag and boast,
They seem so sweet like cake full of frosting.

Quite A While Ago

This poem was written long time ago,
And being that I always write so slow;
Lead poet's life,
With no strife;
So found them in sleep when I will go.

Temptation
Temptation comes in many forms
Some that we can see
Sometimes it will hide itself
And become what it has to be

Like Jesus in the wilderness
Fourty days He did not eat
And in His weakest Moment
Temptation smelled defeat

Jesus never fell to sin
Temptation had no hold
For Jesus saw the Promise
That He Himself foretold

The grass is always greener
Sometimes this is true
But we forget the price we pay
And what it's costing you...

The Company Copper Keeps
A dark flame
bites at the edge of my existence
It burns cool the tips of my fingers
consuming moments once held as treasures

Like a broken clock, with its second hand stuck
	costing me time.

I sit alone, next to a spent lead bullet
buried in the root of an old oak tree
on a day that doesn’t deserve 24 hours
	12 minutes from a 6 round bender
bound for a 3 am train
	holding a smoking barrel
		accompanied
			by an empty copper shell...

Garden of Strength
Garden of Strength
By Sunny

Peaceful flower
accepts the soil
planting her seeds
of love within
realizing thorns
adorn the vines
that cover, protect
from raging sin

flowers shall grow
as time moves on
vines with shadows
shall carry this song
roots combined
intertwine as one
flourishing garden
within peaceful sun

chaotic storms
shall bite the leaves
costing pain from
natures thieves
limb by limb
they sway with time
pure strong souls
continue to climb...

City Vacations
To some, vacations mean a beach,
With nothing but relaxing.
To go to a museum
Would be boring, even taxing.

But both my husband and myself
Prefer to go exploring
In cities where we’ve never been
To do a little touring.

We seek museums, stores and parks
And neighborhoods to walk through
Where maybe we will come across
Some locals we can talk to.

A different setting’s always great,
No matter what it’s costing,
But, unlike basking in the sun,
It’s just a touch exhausting....
