What is proton therapy? My father had radiation on his brain, that really destroyed his last days on earth. There is more money to be made in treatments vs cures

Proton therapy was first developed at the Fermilab in Batavia IL about 10 years ago or so. You can read up on it and will see that it is much easier to handle than conventional radiation therapy. ~ Gershon

good write Gershon...so tired of the insurance company switching my brands because a new one becomes more cost effective, same with some testing... they sometimes won't allow a certain test until another is done first...ok the first is cheaper but it's results mean now the second one needs done too....so it makes no sense to me! have a great weekend! hugs

I like how you can use such nimble prose to discuss complex issues - my two cents is, it depends on the veracity of the insurance company (I am so thankful we have excellent insurance - it really is about what is best for his health, not what is more cost effective!)
