DEVIL IN THE DARK

The sun shone in bewilderment,
Scornfully it scorch,
As Rose plead her fifth amendment,
Her good nature made a strife,
Lea smirk in disdain ,
Saith her world has ended.

Twice fairer than Lea,
In Lea heart lies deceit,
She whispers in Rose ear,
Come and sit, where Serpent hisses,
I will smother thee with kisses,
Honey lies secrets not known,
In Lea lives the honey.

Thrice shy, Rose smiled,
Shame to nymphs, her beauty adorns,
Alluring nature, men confuse,
The Serpent hold the kisses,
“Come, let’s dine with the devil” she said.
My table is set for thee, Lea.

Class in a Mirror

What is class, you have the cash
Dressed to match, riches stash,
Pseudo rich and all pretence
Having no feelings or sincere sense.
Class of people bother not of poor
Look down on others, scornfully sure.
When storms hit hard and tides turn rough
There is no friend who’ll stand by tough.
But the poor once ignored by class
Will leave the gates of razzmatazz
here by your side to be
Helping you through your misery.
Look not down on another
Treat them like your sister or brother.
Don’t count friendship by size of house
Weigh not him by what, when and hows.
His heart is clean and welcomes you
Treating you well with food and juice.
Today he’s down, someday will he be high
Then your whims his class will supply.
Class is not born to time and space
Birth was not in gold and lace.
Naked was he that once crawled the ground
Attained a class by means of vile and sound.

The mirror shows a different gleam
Eyes see not what they may seem.
Class is all for show, glamour and pomp
Lost midst multitudes in a pride of swamp.
Plastic smiles with fake, shallow concern
Time, reality will soon confirm.

Everyone cannot clearly see
Messy Objects, drama, pain or abuse
Tearing tortuous rips
Into emotions
Or
Named
Attacks
Lacking its regard for your soul.
Severe pain often is
Covered by a smile
And
Rages
Scornfully about dragging damaging painful scars on emotions.

A Sullen Silken Star

Stiffly staring
from a faded
frightened far
is a sullen
silken star.
Scornfully
scattered behind
it’s skittish
skin of scolded
scowling scars.
Youthfully
yearning
for a life
contentedly
cleansed in
candlelight.

Soul On Fire

Soul on fire

Heavy breathing , bleeding heart anguished
and distressed with all sort of complications
Mourning scornfully at God for this lesson
A experience ,maybe a major deterrent of my soul from blazing flames
ignited from my own misery in lack of discernment
Burning desires echoed through my soul
ravaging my mind even more
as i looked at my reflection with contempt
Worthless! i muttered
With all the negativity swallowing me like the evening sky that gradually conquers the dusk
My head unable to process , unable to perceive the point and the lesson
So i stand here motionless as pale as a ghost
and watch the mayhem and tumult u have caused to my soul
My soul that has been set to fire
And my slowly decomposing patience smirked and said to me “ I warned you”

Children of Perdition

Distancing does aid
To hide a veil of shame
Compartmentalize the sheep
To lull the wake to sleep
Unearthed the fled play dumb
Circumvention follows through
Big brother saves a piece
To call on those that eat the food
Take your shot or hit the road
When then will they stop the show?
For now the bitter wait
Knowing they'll control their fate
Common sense points to the past
This repeat came round so fast
The tree of liberty wilts and thirsts
Scornfully demanding it's great sacrifice
Steadfast the brave come clean
The upright seeming evil to the dim
Can't bargain with these fools
Common core has warped the fiends
Bears of Red just want your will
Stolen choices rot the soul
Taking aim against humanity
This great country will not fall prey
The devil's children of perdition led so far astray....

Premium MemberPale Shelter

Dangling from fragile threads
soaked in suppressed emotions
I weigh my limited options
as flashes from the past flicker
behind a barrier of uncertainty.
In swirling mist I see your hazy
expressionless face. I call out,
my voice cracking under the
strain of persistent instability.
Scornfully stonewalling me
you turn and walk away, while
suspended in the throes of time,
I hesitate, then stop in my tracks
dejected…rejected…hurting...

Jack the Crooked Val

When she named Jack as her val,
I knew him never to be a pal,
To the naive girl with the eyes of dove,
For this rascal has been known to shove,
Every soul who has been his prey,
Leaving them all with the eyes of grey.
But Cinderella was sure she will not be the same,
Like the other girls who didn't know how to tame,
The crooked guy with the dreamy eyes.
She rode foolishly on the rascal cheeky lies.
But landed with a thud too bad to mend,
And the crooked val laughed scornfully at her sorry end.
This Cinderella is in many girls I see today,
In a twinkling of an eye they eat their future away,
With just a morsel, a future is marred.
With just a morsel, a destiny is barred.

Enough

Enough
Do I need your validation?
God forbid! I’d rather die
Who decides if I am worthy?
I would think not you, but I
As you scornfully will eye me
And pretend that you don’t see
All the richness of my blessings
Just because you are not me
Compliments were never granted
Though I craved a few or more
And I know that I deserved them
But you kept me starved and poor
Still you lingered in my presence
Or was it the other way around?
All the while you would be gleaning
The things in which I would abound
Even though I felt your envy
I would fool myself instead
That your friendship did me favors
So I followed while you led
And I gave while you were taking
Not one time I would rebuff
Till one day I took the courage
And I sternly said ’Enough!’
Now you say my sudden actions
Made you feel much hurt and pain
Well I’m sorry but I had to
So I could get off your chain.

Broken-Hearted Caressing Sorrow

Broken-Hearted Caressing Sorrow

Where do you bring a broken heart, damaged dreams that won’t depart?
Where do you go when things fall apart, serving silent screams a la carte?
What do you do with a saddened soul, within a virulent void a skinless sole?
What do you do when you’re in a hole, progressive paranoid a shadow stroll?

Within the stillness of my solitude, a storm exists admits a sacrificing seclude
The eyeful emptiness of a life subdued, the evil enlists a blasphemous brood
Within the veil of my bitter black, the idolatrous infant sleeps in a shackled sac
On the wall, my punitive plaque, of the wounded weeps that scornfully stack

Who will be there for me, to mourn, escaping earth a denticulate dust reborn?
Who will be there for me, to warn, a residual rebirth of a lifeless embryo torn?
Who will kiss me before I dimly die, a wretched wreck in a shattered satirical sky?
Who will be there for me, to cry, a segregated speck ceremonially left to calcify?

Silhouetted Stagnant Shadows

Silhouetted Stagnant Shadows

Stagnant shadows of night sequestered slaves in sight
Faces fading in fright as the fear feeds the lethargic light
Silhouettes of love in plight demons dancing in delight
As darkness devours the white, images surreal will smite

Within negative reflections of my loves dire defections
Outlines of lost connections metaphors of misdirection’s
Dormant internal infections reliving raging resurrections
Silhouetted projections of my dismal depleting affections

Black portraits of palpable pain never to rejoice and regain
Darkened phantoms of grain scornfully sabotaging the sane
Deceivers of the defiant drain tragically tangled of the twain
Vanity in a voiceless vain the sentinels stand in their reign

A dark matter display particles of light have gone astray
Within a decomposing decay a silhouetting fractal buffet
In my capturing love delay, silent shadows bitterly betray
And now my dreams are far away within a black hole ballet.

Old Days

Bats ran on opposite directions searching for mate
Chasing each other across the skies
Chilly evening, company anyone could contemplate
Crickets too sung to the sundown melodies

An old man sat outside his old hut
Reminiscing his old days beside a blaze
Eyes up as if there's something he was staring at
then to the darkness he gazed

A shadow appeared from the night
Mkongwe acted as if he didn't saw him at all
for he wasn't expecting any visitor tonight
The intruder stood like a silhouette - very tall

''Evening comrade? '', the visitor greeted
''Evening too'', replied the host
'' What has brought you here a friend I didn't expected? ''
'' What else other than boredom and reviving memories lost

''I agree with you my dear friend
Days of our youth where an eye was still an eye
When our women could not pretend
So faithful and could not lie''

''Look at what so-called modernity has brought''
Mzee interjected very scornfully
''Teaching women what white men thought
Our society has just been ruined fully

Tell My Tale

Jumbo eyes eyeing the thundering tears
Under the bridge of illusion was it made
Unlimited limitation driving guts of guilt
I have been here before and my tales told
By guilty men that once hurt me scornfully.

I have been here without legs of dreams
But the lyrics of my dreams was written
My tears drawn down the sky limit of fear
They have told my tales of rejection over there
When mothers abandoned their children at war.

In the bagged music they picked up my joy
I have been among their armies of thought
I have driven their emotions and feelings
I knew them before they knew themselves
Did to them what love could not do yet I was robbed.

Tell my tale in the sounds of silence
How my last breathe was taken away,
A deceitful kiss planted on my cheek
To mare my tomorrow and today's joy.
Tell my tale of rejection among their youths.

Here I will be until the sun changes it cruelty
Just to tell of a tale written in the darkness
Silence, though empty but it has lots of meaning
Tilting and paning towards where men hated
I have been hated in a hate-ful land of tears.

The Trail Where They Cried

The Trail Where They Cried

Following the wooded trail;
Fainted footprints I traced.
Embedded in the dirt and shale;
Of ancestors who were displaced.

The wind blew cold and mournfully;
As tears streamed from my eyes.
I cursed Andrew Jackson most scornfully;
Wishing the history I could revise.

Shadows linger in the mist;
Forever in solemn despair.
Of an ancient race not allowed to exist;
And I, their humble heir.

The sadness on the Trail of Tears;
Permeates and lingers still.
Speaks volumes of cruelties austere;
Man's law against Creator's will.

Should we forget the place where they cried;
And just get over the past.
And once more trust a government that lied;
We become our own downcast.

Ask that not of me;
To forget my ancestor's genocide.
Or to dismiss this country's history;
When the truths are still denied.

When their stories are finally told;
And privileged bias has decreased.
When men no longer worship oil and gold;
My peoples can rest in peace.
