Woman Scorned: A Yom Kippur Prayer

Here I stand, a godless monk
Without account, my soul is sunk.
My name won’t make the Book of Life
’Cause I’ve been such a cruel ex-wife.

I cursed you in a thousand ways
(There’s been no “high” in holidays.)
The one with whom anew you’d start:
I wished she’d crush your faithless heart.

I hoped in Leadville the spill you’d take
Would leave your back with chronic ache.
A gleeful anticipation would start to thrive
While imagining you cut a wire live.

So, here’s my prayer, albeit unholy:
I wish my thoughts were a bit less lowly.
If I can’t be good, at least I hope to find God
So I can achieve a peaceful facade.

Though rage may be slow to subside,
This year I hope to turn the tide.
While never shall I wish you well
Next year, no longer I’ll hope you in hell.

A Woman Scorned

The Muse continues to punish me
 whenever I write prose

Her slaps severe with pain heartfelt
no fury 'hell hath known'

She sentences me to endless nights
and days when words won't come

Until I succumb to writing verse
and she — my breath becomes

Abused and confused, she left in disgust;
why would you stay where there’s no longer trust?
My voice will be gone, but soon you’ll adjust;
go write those limericks now if you must.

A lady scorned

Quiet she came, clad in a cover-all
To closed door— to knock nor warn, not her style,
But to come at own time, no prior call,
Confused, I failed to give her welcome smile.
Vague with a countenance of a brick wall,
And soon as came she left with not a clue,
Nor hint on why she came to call at all,
Me a loser left with my fate to rue.

If only she had offered me fair chance,
On guard, I’d have welcomed her. But the dame
Chose to grant me not even a fair glance.
I have no one but bumbling me to blame.
   A lady scorned called Opportunity,
Who deserved a fair dose of courtesy.

Scorned!

Tag Me
		Label Me
		    With Derision, treat me
Liken me to a wet disgust
The scrawny dog dragged from the gutter depths.

Still I Shine.
I am Ablaze.
Adorned with fiery darts of pearly strings.

I am choosing to ignore the peculiarities
									Of my confinement.
Shackling off identities of cultural definition

Put me to bed with pasquinade.
Cloth me with double portions
		of traduce and slander.

Give me vilipends for a pillow
Carefully tuck me in with slur and trash
Dim the **** of my bedside lamp.

Watch me flutter my eyelid in restful slumber.
Hear me snore in gratitude.
Be sure of one thing-
My Outshining When I Rise.
This is the dawn of a new era

I am an alien to Your presumed assumptions
I laugh confidently
through my gap-teeth
and smiles fill my dimpled cheeks.

I know we've wept a sea of selfish, childish tears,
try your best to see beyond those faded fears.
Why hurt you or me after so many happy years?
Cry not; think of how we would dance and drink a few beers,
spry as young lovers could be, sharing our hurts and cheers.
My hand on your knee; we'd oft talk till Dawn appears;
If you let me, I'll whisper love words into your ears,
nigh onto the wee hours while a scorned moon leers.

They crucified Him as His Mother cried
at his feet, helpless to prevent His death.
And yet, He called out to God as He died
to forgive their souls, with His final breath.

His body was cleansed and placed in a tomb,
inline with Jewish practice at the time.
Wrapped in linen-cloth, with oils and perfume,
His mutilated corpse was made sublime.

Soldiers sealed the tomb up with a large stone,
placing guards to ensure that it stayed closed.
But on the third day, it moved, as though thrown,
and Christ rose, His Divinity disclosed.

Jesus died humiliated and scorned,
but no other death; was ever more mourned.

Scorned

You may wear the skin of an angel,
But inside your the essence of death,
I have seen into your eyes,
And tasted your bitter lies,
Seen the destruction you portray as delight,
Felt the pain of your continuous fight,
Your violence doesn’t flow from your fists,
It spouts off your twisted tongue,
Burrows deep inside of my head,
You’ve destroyed all that I am,
And still you smile and offer me your sympathy,
Be warned,
For there is nothing more powerful than I that am scorned.

A Woman Scorned

My Broken promises and brutal lies got her twisted
With hate

Nothing said lingers nor do she longer
Relates

Cold shrugs and cold kisses as she struggles to
Reply

There is no more space in her heart nor pillow no more for me to lie

Simple task that we use to do now seem so
Daunting

Hell has no fury like a woman scorn these four walls seem so Haunting

I shot her love down with these ammo in my hidden calico such foolish aim

Taken for granted and no longer she cares she tears my pictures out the frame

She calls me a Heartbreaker a title
With such distaste

Now i am being punished so brutally for these
mistakes

Love has no fury like a woman scorn
And that is real

This woman scorned by betrayal is now the devil in heels

A Woman Scorned

A women scorned I am..
Lies..
Betrayal..
Infidelity..
Manipulations..
Of which is..

Was once the love of your life..
Your beloved..
Love existed
Honesty existed
Respect existed..

A burning pain races through my entire body..
Firing burning pain..
A scorching hot fire ignites..
Flames so high..
When may I extinguish these painful burning fires of pain?
Intense it is..

I once had a burning desire..
A burning desire..
To live in sacred union..
A sacred union of unconditional love for one another..

Burning desire came into fruitation...
We were one..

Now..
The burning pain remains..
The fire no longer ignites..
As the flames to the fire are no more..
Sacred union dissipates..

All is gone..

A woman scorned I am..
Pain persists..
Wounded like a wild animal..

Scorned

I sit among the devils scorned.. battle weary broken worn. Within me a vacant frozen cavity.. nothing can bring me back, determined gravity.. tears drip and freeze.. bitter cold is what it bleeds.. oh the agony.. sweet agony!

Lustful cravings of the flesh draw me out
Removes barriers not a trace of self doubt.
Building growing consuming the prior
Mind body enveloped within the fire.

Mental barriers erected swiftly
Leaving connections shaken, shifty
Release becomes a struggle rather than a blessing.
Pain increases happiness lessens..

I walk in the shadows of beings crucified
Passified, testified, sacrafide, left by the side.
A mere smear of my prior being.
Life seeping from me as if my own blood was fleeing

Back down again on this very day
Rock bottom instant replay
This time even kneeling is a burden
Returning to my former self isn't certain

A replica of the original
Regrets and sorrow are the only ones left to mingle.
Picking up the few pieces of me that remain
My life force pours as it drains

Here I am defenceless
Here I am and always have been

Here I am defenceless
But that's only to you, now here with me

Here I am defenceless
The steel beasts you bring along with thee

Here I am defenceless
But something is waking from deep within the core of me

Here I am defending
You think you have control but you can't control the beast in me

Here I am defending
Your human kind now mean nothing to me

Here I am defender
I am, will be and have been here longer than you will ever be

Hell Hath No Fury Like a Woman Scorned

When I told my girlfriend that I would give her a ring, I meant a telephone call.
She thought I was going to give her an engagement ring but I didn't mean that at all.
She told all of her friends and she even bought a wedding dress.
When she learned the truth, it turned out to be a horrible mess.
She burned all of my clothes and smashed my brand new guitar.
She shaved me bald while I slept and slashed the tires on my car.
She kicked me so hard in the crotch that I may not be able to father babies.
She gives new meaning to the word psychopath and I don't mean maybe.
Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, I learned the hard way that statement is true.
Don't tell your girlfriend that you'll give her a ring or the same might happen to you.
