Cinematic Reveries

our long lost love in depths of time
our story like a folk tale
started with a kiss and ended in a torturous goodbye
will passed down in time
to be recited for generations
was never too pure and dark

in my wistoragic periphery,
i saw you come and leaving
i wonder,
what if our mondegreen conversations
never led us to different places?
what if you would've been the one?
the one i would dance with
the one i would host parties with
the one i would sing my songs to
the greatest love of all time in our own movie?

Dew glistens, whimsical, over gentle dawn
hues fade beyond the background of sparkly nights
silent moments breath light on the nourished lawn

creeks flow gently, harmonizing with bobwhites
wind’s soft voice overflows with a melting song
reflections of timeless joy a poet writes

shadows erase the still of winter so strong
her dreams burning wild in the brilliance of hope
knowing that this grace of Spring is never wrong

storybook worlds rise as fostered seeds elope
musical chairs played between the heart and soul
thunder and lightening don’t know how to cope

the glory of Springtime concludes with a stroll
through those hearts who know God’s grace will make them whole

Childhood Reveries

In fields of gold beneath the summer sun,
Where laughter danced and time was never done,
We chased the butterflies in endless flight,
And dreams took wing on fleeting rays of light.

Through woods alive with whispers soft and kind,
Where secrets bloomed like flowers in the mind,
We built our castles in the morning dew,
And every wish we had, we found was true.

Beneath the stars that sang of distant lands,
We made our plans with tiny, hopeful hands,
To conquer worlds that lay beyond our sight,
And hold the fleeting moments, pure and bright.

Oh, childhood days, too swiftly they did flee,
Like waves that vanish in the restless sea,
Yet in my heart your echoes still remain,
A cherished song, untouched by time's refrain.

Peach pearly pronouns
Only exist in my mind
Even when I write them
They dissolve like sand in time
Regal red reverie
Yolk in my eggshell of peace

As silence fills the hour no meddling thoughts deflower
I find myself inflated by a rush of night
No words escape my lips no sound takes flight
no poetry breaks loose beneath this mind's ignite;
Within the rhythm of this time and space
the tumult of my yesterdays embrace

As darkness falls like a curtain of obscurity
I pledge allegiance to the stars,
and all the angels that guide me safely out.
A hundred hours I can't replace in the safety of this place
A hundred more I can restore for there is always more
inside this beating heart that wants to sleep or live
the sound of silence fills my ears and as my fantasies kick in,
my reveries begin...

Sunset Reveries

as swans slide across lakes - sunset rays sway to autumnal reveries

ambling across swirling helix - of deadened cinnamon foliage

mocking greenery framing skeletal bones - of lifeless roots crackling

the warmth of your deep saffron gold aura - harvests the depth of our love

eclipsing rippling mistrals - simmering amidst auburn horizons

Premium Member Autumn Rainbow Reveries

Red, orange and ochre…spill over into waterfalls of color

Sable, tan and umber…tumble into a silky symphony

Purple, wine, aubergine…cascade in chutes of amethyst fantasies

Russet, copper and rust…flood in flowing reveries of nature’s tears

Dreams and Reveries Poetrix

I have wandered  through time...
 With  my dreams though unfinished
 still searching for my anxious reveries ...

In My Reveries

In daydreams I glimpse your face,
  the tender smile I long to see
    and to be held in your embrace.
If only it could be...
  but now the only traces of you
    are in my dearest reveries.

Dreams, soft like a Southern rain
Silence every tear, ease every pain
Gently kissing away darkness, disdain
Whispering serenity that will ever reign

Fantasies, twisting hope into the night
Washing away every doubt with light
Breathing promises so lovely they excite
Harboring feelings that touch and unite

Visions, lovely as the fresh fallen snow
In hues so vibrant and alive they glow
Lifting each uncertainty with the flow
Tender affections the heart will bestow

Refrain:

Inspirations caress with a joy in the soul
Stirring laughter, pleasure that will console
Drifting, like dewdrop’s thoughtful stroll
Lingering feelings who love will make whole

Buttery affection rains from the skies
Nurturing the tulips and daffodils
Bursts of joy upon the earth, to arise
With wonderous smiles, sunny thrills

Robins and wrens wrestle with the wind
Laughing and crooning, inspiring serenity
Warring with the windchimes, chagrined
By the swirling charms of love’s amenity

Oaks and birch whisper to the affections
Offering their silent hope with a caress
From the budding leaves with selections
For springtime reveries hearts profess

Intimate Reveries

He calls me naïve and I reply with a smile,
but in my dreams he whispers words of love;
                          my cravings fed:
                            fully sated.

He says I'm a foolish child; innocent and sweet,
but if he knew about our midnight trysts,
I wonder if he would find me guilty,
or acquit me for such intimate reveries.

        If my fantasies are a sin;
        should I be ashamed of my crime?

                          I dare not sleep,
                            perchance to dream.*

My past is long- over and done,
it is just yesterdays sad tears;
all my memories kept are things of a past life,
the present is a brand new day;
a path to beginning,
now I live for moments !

This life can be so beautiful,
with nature splendid and lovely;
and life experiences utterly divine,
yet, merciless at times this life;
harsh words can be brutal,
heartless, cruel-  evil !

I have mammoth thoughts in my mind,
big ideas swirling around;
the world is a vast place with opportunities,
yet, I must take just baby steps;
for I am inconsequential,
a  small trivial speck !

I take wisdom from the wise aged,
from the old writers and poets;
and from my own broken winding journey thus far,
but, the new me is different;
I am working on unique,
for a fresh better me !
