their seasonal fling
leaves little imagining ~
passion's bits abound
naked, shamed, consigned to wait,
redeeming spring, yet far off…

Bruno enrolls in the tertiary
For a full program in Fishery.
Dad had judged his first course treachery
Or Bruno risking self trickery...
In their lusty town much revelry,
In which fish faces not rivalry:
Fish more than meat touched by cutlery,
Sometimes costing more than Jewelry!
So, Bruno vows "In the tertiary
It'll be none other than Fishery.
Thrice, Fishers charged at by cavalry,
Not by the knights of sworn chivalry;
Rather by The Dead to ribaldry:
The fish-starved in Haberdashery.

The year had ended and we are a year older.
Based on the past, we've grown bolder.
Heart's new joys reflect the old ones,
Amidst cheers and firing of guns!

There was laughter in the crisp autumn air,
And a large bonfire blazed on the beach,
As the birds came singing from everywhere,
Under a sunset orange and gold as a peach!
The burnt orange flickering of the bonfire,
Echoed the feverous light of a waning sun,
Like euphoria that always takes you higher,
Smack dab in the middle of revelry and fun!

We lie awake
Caught in restless streams
Floods to memory
Days of reckless revelry
Souls meant to cross
They lay there still
Speaks of hearts lost
Loves that came at a cost
Words fighting the reveal
Fated to be unforeseen
Wounds longing to heal
Space fills the in-between
Eyes resisting sleep
A moment more to keep
Restless we stay close
Lingers perfume of rose
Drowned in the silence
Rises the sun we feared
Wrapped in the everglow
Our hands let go

REVELRY
Our settlements these days identify
With blooming darkness
Velvety petals have turned
Into prickly thorns
Patches of blood adore pathways
As on a canvas, random brushes
Of seasoned painters do
Invisibility has helped cover
Umbilical cord that nourishes
Flourishing bazaars
Which, by the way, claim
To be self-styled pillar
Of our vibrant democracy
‘Whether you do, don’t or the way vote
Has no inkling with
Your doomed prosperity’ they say,
‘Your voluptuous appetite for smoke,
Not whims of bazaar
Has rendered mill-chimneys crestfallen’
You can die of hunger, sorry!
But you won’t ever be deprived
Of revelry,
Our settlements guarantee these days!

Beside a singing Brook
Winter breath lingering
Ghost of Exhalation
Drifting slowly wild
Joining Stream's cyclical pulse
Infusion with my blood through sound
Mind becomes the flow
Singing subconscious to the Sea
Where waves kiss my fractured thoughts
I dance as one
Within a vast heaving womb
Re-born from storm's revelry
To stand within the lightning
Back beside a singing Brook

There’s a drumstick in the refrigerator and it’s calling out my name,
There’s some biscuits and gravy next to it and they are doing just the same.
How do they know me and what is it that they want me to do?
Do they really think that I can devour them any better than you?
Have my talents at culinary consumption reached such a peak,
That the food now requests some quality time nestled in my cheek?
With prestidigitation the food will disappear from my plate,
By slight of hand I’ll fill my mouth and then I’ll masticate.
I'm the best one to contact when there’s food around to swallow?
I don’t want to brag but I’ve never left the table feeling hollow.
Come to me you leftover foods allow me to fill your destiny,
For I alone can make you happy while you digest in me.

Love is not a joke
It’s not a game to me
It’s not a funny riddle
That I would like to sing
Love is not a joke
And I’m tired of this ride
This up and down frenzy
Should not be in my mind
Love is not a joke
But one to you, I see
Fun and games, to you
Goodbye to revelry

Scrape your hair back, from your face,
Let your hands twist, turn and embrace,
Into my skin, lock nails deep,
Fix your breath between, ear to cheek.
Circuit blood as we intertwine,
Feel your body spill through mine,
Voice kept mute as we silent scream,
Eyes pressed close and we’ll fall in deep.
