Revelry

We lie awake Caught in restless streams Floods to memory Days of reckless revelry Souls meant to cross They lay there still Speaks of hearts lost Loves that came at a cost Words fighting the reveal Fated to be unforeseen Wounds longing to heal Space fills the in-between Eyes resisting sleep A moment more to keep Restless we stay close Lingers perfume of rose Drowned in the silence Rises the sun we feared Wrapped in the everglow Our hands let go
