At a certain age when memory activity
Reminds me of a dream I never had
Absolutely nothing happens
That hasn't happened many times
I come again, but only to forget myself
More reliably than usual
And there's another me, just like the same
Writing something, to the amazement of an old man
Who sits waiting for the train at the station
To fall asleep in the compartment.
The air can’t wait for a Friday declarationn of love
In marble hotels and fireside chairs
It's time to sneeze out some emotion
To cough it up, to blow out
All that accumulated inside over the years
That's boiled there and cooled down
And then it gurgled again one night
So comes the expected thunder, the lightning zigzags
Break the sky, releasing the overflowing downpour
And the dry silence crumbles, and the rubbish
Floats calmly from nowhere to nothing.
The slamming of doors, and a quick chat
Where it's impossible to make out a word
But that’s for the best
In the Leibnizian worldview

i've just been reliably informed that
the manchester united dressing room was bugged
before their match at aston villa
it is a shocking security breach
but classic sci-fi can be a bit hit and miss
like my pancakes
but we soldier on
we have tickets for the opera
as we still await to see on stage the essentials;
making a cup of tea
reading the newspaper
putting on a pair of socks
but there's a character on stage dying from
tuberculosis, which according to Wikipedia is an infectious disease.
that causes
significant damage to the lungs
and she's singing her heart out
i whisper to my wife, "this is fun."
that italia '90 fella was good
you'll be in tears

Across the valley, salted with the distant sands of the Sahara, I hear the raucous song of summer’s cicadas. As a counterpoint, dry Texas mesquite trees offer a sullen crack like old men requiring their Club Soda with lemon to clear their throat, burning with age. The sun, so often serenaded for its pink bloom of morning, it’s golden orb at noon and fiery red at sunset, today, in mid-July, does not move. My shadow, so reliably robust by late afternoon, deeply engraved on the stones and grasses of the Hill country, is so pale in this terrible light, that I begin to doubt my existence. And what if that existence was in doubt?
A wasp looping, dipping in a slim glaze of water
Brown leaves hanging loosely from branches
like the hot tongues of ranch dogs.
Lone Star flags rustle on their poles.
Lemonade glasses perspire.
The wasp in the birdbath loops,
dips, sips and dies.

We are on a unique journey to opine around God,
In a private chapel, mosque, or any schrod,
Notwithstanding outward, the conscious ego is lurking,
A kindred spirit that stays inside, and is murking.
Our inner selves should be set to the moral side,
Assuming that God's revelations we must find,
This is the rather proper thing we should believe,
The atman is uniquely the most foe risk deceive.
The inner self becomes an integral factor first,
The nominative pronouns "I" and "me" seem curst,
It is a particularly prevailing power in the world,
God is impossible for us to be reliably found.
Ego causes body and mind agony,
God is within yet has no holy anatomy.

I reliably detect it in lush colors
Instigations from a distinct era
this sidereal day, the oscine didn't sing
conceivably it is squandered
In the cognitive hourglass
I scavenge for unmistakable echoes
We jumped off the rainbow
Dark stains hide beneath my lids
they stepped
on pure inner bliss
a single dormant desire dazzled
an emotional need whirling in a whirlwind
pearly flawless passion
the finest word of life: I love

Positively,
Definitely,
Absolutely,
Certainly
Irreversibly,
Undeniably,
Unerringly,
Reliably
Categorically,
Indisputably,
Unfalteringly,
Irrefutably
Undoubtedly,
Irrevocably,
Unquestionably,
Unequivocally...
... FINAL!
Maybe.

Is it hearty to eager gaze at him with fond hope?
As the latter view with life borne, in gradual slope.
A high-flying plane to God's never-ending city.
But picking dreadful death isn't offered entirely.
Endwise, I'll once again aim to relish a joyful life.
A cheerful get-together for all who have left strife.
No also poignant anguish, torment, or intricacy.
Since I merely bear all lack, will not require any.
In eternal Heaven, God will reward and soothe me.
As we promptly proceed on a never-ending journey.
With ample time, we'll be heeded as utterly were.
To sustain in perpetuity with my brood there.
As I anxiously exit from this premonition planet,
At the point when I enter Heaven's greatness exquisite.
Nudging me will reliably provide no justifiable excuse.
In regards to this loathsome and impure recluse.

Copious tears flowed gently in the dire disaster
but we're not in brutal excess.
Doom occurs precisely in a proper time
when subtlety is humorless.
Fierce passion, o heart, gaily
decorates your soul brightness.
And we are inseparably united
in our wistful sadness.
However, my conscious mind is
precisely a vacuum-sealed recess.
Who merely performs reliably
exquisite poetry for the curiousness.
Querying anxiously, he has enflamed
the dear heart of eternal nothingness.
Feasibly my vital burning has been
quenched for untold sadness.

In the land of the old gray mare
Six meters behind the lion’s sweet lair,
There was a gnarly raccoon who did up hair.
He took little money to be absolutely fair.
His hair styles did have a certain flair.
Disappointment in his work was really rare.
A haughty ant went in without a care.
The fashionable raccoon pointed out “your head is bare”.
The aunt huffed off mad, really on a tear.
I feel this story I can reliably share.
You see I was in there, sitting on a tiny stair.
The anger was wafting for hours in the air.
Please do not give me that condescending look, teddy bear.
You after all, are not even wearing underwear.
I urge you to tell this tale better, if you dare.

I remain in perpetual motion with
no uncertain regard for haste, reliably
scornful of erratic pace.
I am unwilling to change.
Bound by quotidian zeal,
I care not for how you feel.
So take no measure in shallow waters,
or eager plight to adorn.
For treasure is sublime,
resplendent in gold and trinkets of old,
but not in time.
My face remains the same.

What size is yours? How big’s your pride?
When do you take it out?
Where does it sit on your ride of life?
Does it make you scream and yell and shout?
Did you earn this pride throughout your life?
Were you given this gift from birth?
Have you shown many people?
And do you know its worth?
Well, I use mine each and every day,
Mine’s big and strong and loud,
I use at the end of each working day,
When I want to get around,
Mine’s warm inside, leather bound,
Reliably tried and true,
She’s my high powered shiny classic car,
That I keep looking new.

Frozen to perfect, stiff, fixed and fast,
Forever replicating exact,
Transparent colours of love and beauty,
Forever being abstract,
She’s a water kingfisher, with a purple song box,
Or ocean wave smashing to shore,
Forever being a shimmering dog,
Or a magnificently powerful horse,
She can be hard and solid, reliably strong,
Unflinching to hurt, rage or pain,
Or she can be a delicate fragile of perilously weak,
Carrying your toast of champagne,
She’s our beautiful glass, our goblet of glaze,
Our sculptured trichromatic quartzite,
She’s everything beautiful wrapped into one,
Illuminating a rainbow of light.

I’m gallant, sturdy, I’m reliably strong,
And I love being used every day.
I love being pulled, pushed and kicked by you,
And I love when you just turn away.
I’ll forever stand here patiently waiting for you,
I’ll wait here for you all my life.
And when you return, I love you slicing me up,
Cutting into me with your cold knife.
You leave me with those slices, those words of love,
Some also written in permanent ink.
You push your chewing gum hard onto my body,
I love that you don’t care what I think.
I’ve been here for you, loved you, most of your life,
I’ve seen you be quiet, happy, sad and a fool.
I’m proud to be ignored and used by you,
I’m your eternal wooden desk at your school.
