Should Prisons Produce Traumatized Individuals or Rehabilitate Them To A Fine End

Prison takes the body first—
hair, name, posture.
It teaches the spine
how to live bent.

A man enters with one wound
and leaves fluent in fear.
He learns keys,
the math of silence,
how not to cry out.

At night the walls inhale him.
Concrete is the mother
who never touched him.
Steel is the father
who only knew punishment.

Is this justice—
to enlarge the damage,
to make survival a scar
that never closes?

Rehabilitation would touch
the wound bare-handed.
Ask who he was
before hunger,
before the first strike,
before rage learned his pulse.

It would teach time
to repair instead of rot.
It would cost more.
It would return less violence.

Trauma is cheaper.
Trauma comes back.
So decide—
do we want men released
as sharpened instruments,
of death
or as bodies,
that remember
how not to hurt?

The Truth Within The Fear

Lost in the mist, isle of the empty
Thoughtless abyss styled under six feet
Reminiscing below the dark palm trees
The moonlight over the horizon fog
Unseeable, a thousand eyes abroad
Repeatable mistakes inside the smog
A longship drops anchor swords drawn in hand
The sands quake with danger, fear intwine with man
Death is a painter, and life weaves it's plans
Poetic justice, for those trapped in lies
Rehabilitate, prisoners of mind
What do angels taste when faced with divine?
Finding acceptance within heart and soul
All embellished to let go of control

DNA

What makes us?
All the differs
Make us suffer
I challenge any sucker

to tickle the ivories
And aline with me
To make a beat
So we can agree

We're in a dark place
Standing with straight face
Waiting for the grace
To take the place

Of any person
Who stands as one
Ready for the demon
To enter their sermone

We all know the truth
But some chose to refuse
That life is a ruse
Evil with no excuse

Music is the light
Excitement to reignite
Joy in the heart of life
So why choose to fight

Embrace what beat cometh
With a sound loud enough
To blow away the bad stuff
That we're to believe is rough

Hopefully opens your heart
To make a start
As to rehabilitate the heart
And hopefully appreciate art

FORGIVE ME

Darling, please forgive me,
To my mortification
For taunting you each and every time.
Forgive me for the anguish,
For my sarcastic words that hurt.
Forgive me for my lies,
Forgive me for my actions.
For the promises that were false,
How distraught we looked.
How disappointed I made you be,
It's a scary shame that I wanna hide.
And every second of my life is in fear
Of losing your heart.

Please darling, forgive me,
I'll rectify my mistakes.
I'll rehabilitate my behaviors,
I'll treat you how you should be treated.
I will find path in maze we fell in,
You will be a princess again.
I stand to pull the storm to bring on the sun,
My heart is bleeding from inside.
On my knees pleading for your mercy,
Forgive this disloyal lover,
Forgive your inamorato.
A thread of regrets whips me,
I mean everything I say.
My soul is crying for you,
Please take me back,
Don't leave me alone.

Premium Member Wounded Sigh

A wounded sigh, an expression evincing the pain of hurt,
A bawl in solitude, turbulence of inner emptiness stirs,
When emotions clamor, simmering in angst of regrets,
When mute demeanor, of injured breath, wistfully frets.

Soul desperately aches for a special someone to talk to,
Someone who understands the language of quietude,
Someone who can soothe the trauma, of life gone askew,
Someone who brings to fore, hope of tomorrow anew.

Laments of past echo, moaning upon meadows of life,
Reverberating in heartbreak of grief, bereft of promise,
To rehabilitate devastation of savage emotional storms,
As covenants, deemed eternal, hesitate in broken vows.

Wounded hearts now trace moments of love, sadly lost,
When loneliness dwells in nightmares of past forlorn,
When the abandoned pledges of forever, callously mock,
As muffled wail recalls, life of joy and love, that once was.

Sorrows now seek solace, yearning compassionate voice
To soothe tides of heartbreak, agitating lonesome mind,
As hopes of morrow rekindle in womb of promising night,
When smile-endearing, subjugates cry of wounded sigh.

Ridiculously Regal

Riot and rebellion reoccur in my rest.
has been ramified and ranked, in My rate
Round and round, revealing remorse
Righteous reputation, reverse reverence
Rack on my ratchet and roar to the rope.
Resident reutilization is running out of the Romp.
Give up the race to rehabilitate Renal.
Reverential Razor Ridiculously Regal

Premium Member Stars We Can See

If one is lucky, to feel just ducky, trust in advice given by local law enforcement. They are the only ones who know your ins and outs. And can give you the benefit of years of experience. The years translate into tears, when the truth of compassion, become a compass for all to see. It’s the difference between incarceration, and warnings on paper. Given a chance to rehabilitate, life can open up its doors, for a first step to build something new. Not found in rows of wooden pews. But in hearts, now awakened to the possibility of friendship renewed.

Many extra rewards recognize, many pardons forgive.
Purpose transient whims excuse.
Temporize pardons mercy graced,
Individual weeps grieve.
Other dishonors reconcile.
Numerous pardons forgive.

Just Like You

Hey dear Flawless Falls
Just like you,
I want to jump freely
Rehabilitate myself freshly

Hey dear Radiant River
Just like you
I want to sing solely
Break the barriers slowly

Hey dear Majestic Mountain,
Just like you,
I want to stand strong
amidst the negativities that throng

Hey dear tall trees
Just like you
I want to touch the sky
nevertheless nudge my soil until I die

Hey dear nourishing nature
Just like you
I want to absolve
bad deeds done by humans and make them evolve

Not Afraid Part 2

I keep trying to fight but everyday it gets worse,
I'm trying to carve out a path but it hurts
and I loop around to where I stood first.
I'm stuck suffering,
but won't let no fat lady sing.

Relapse,
forget the feeling,
I'll just get back to my feet and I'll stand,
because fate demands,
I'll never live it down if I don't rebound.

I honestly promise to be at my strongest,
in fact no impact or test
can crush my chest, ever,
I'm a last and never rest
not 'til I bask that no flag flew at half mast.

I'll dip and I'll rise like a rollercoaster ride
but I'll never hollow out inside or lose my pride,
I'll battle depressions wickedness with all my witty grittiness
and when I'm knocked down I'll breathe, go again and believe,
with a greed for freedom core and seed 'til I'm freed.

That's the wish beyond painful twists,
a thirst to slit wrists through self hatred,
and the positive drive is confiscated,
but don't be mistaken I'll reinstate it,
I aint breaking, this life aint there for the taking,
I'll rehabilitate me inevitably.

Rehab

Paint my eyes black, blind me.
Rip my nails off, unarm me.
Place me with those just like me.
Try months to rehabilitate,
the lost and untimely.

Premium Member Backyard Eden

Early morn’s bright birdsong sings my blink to day activate,
waking my faith as feel my thoughts cannot think agitate.

Of earth’s many crisp Eden’s, my yard does participate,
for when I stepped out and into Spring, her marvelous slate
had hymn-grown it as a wholeness chapel, less man’s ornate.
Our loved, frail willow’s miracle growth rose thanks to dilate,
then soar-spun my green love thru all growth to appreciate.
The blueberry bushes set my awe on anticipate.

Our garden washed me fresh in gratitude’s glorious trait.
Bulb plants lifted me with promises that exhilarate
my sense rushes of gem blooms to come and intoxicate.
Our joy-filled, yard contentment was a sense sweep dictate.
From ground to sky, eye to soul, spring does rehabilitate
all that lags as spiritually weak in my heart’s rate.

Natural earth is wonder in beauty’s prime based state
and in our yard presence are the Spring psalms I celebrate.

Adam and Eve

Love is an invigorating journey. To rehabilitate what is submerged beneath. A way of healing or simply reducing the pain. The rescue team to all the questions of the world. So rare, what rich blood we have, for an unbreakable bond is forever together and shall never be unbroken. the impossible has become possible when i am with you. A smoke so high between us, it fills my lungs with menthol and textures so smooth and pleasing, the smoke as high as our souls as you lift me, for the good and forever, heaven shall rain upon us as we fall to the beautiful grounds of earth where we will find dirt and soil, for we shall plant a small seed and watch it grow as humanity seizes to know that we are creating something beautiful and invincible. our flare in the dark is so vigorously raging, for the torch has been lit between us. An untamed fire has started in both of our hearts, for we know what we have created, humanity and hope. An impossible breakthrough has been broken.
