What The Fire Didn’t Take

The power of grief can consume you—?not all at once,?
but like water swelling inside a sinking ship.
?Quiet at first,?
until you're drowning in the silence.
It doesn’t ask permission.
?It wraps around your ribs,?
pressing against your lungs?
until breath becomes a labor
?and joy feels like betrayal.
I’ve felt it—?
its cold hands gripping my ankles,
?dragging me into the undercurrent
?of mornings

You'll rebuild your Castle

Empower yourself.

You'll rebuild your Castle
By Michelle Morris
29/03/2025

When your Castle has crumbled
And you're lying in the rubble
Remember that you're Powerful
You can overcome your troubles

When your Heart is hurting
Your friends and family have betrayed you
Remember that you have Angels
They surround and protect your Truth

You are never forgotten

Echos To Ashes

Bittersweet, or just a hard pill to swallow?
I’ve done this to myself, haven’t I?
Watching it crumble around me,
Piece by piece,
Like everything I once held so tight,
Now slipping through my fingers,
Flames to ashes,
Ashes to dust.
I know what I’ve done.
I know it all too well.

Yet, I feel nothing.

Not even the searing burns on my skin,
From the fires

The Burnt Molt of a Molten Phoenix' Rising

Its been a show of force since my ancestors first swam over the umbilical.
A strain of Loathing rings in our ears, A dog-whistle held by my personal demon, it's engraved with my name.
I smile when when the frequencies pain grazed my inner ear, and tickles my cerebellum in a way I'd deem inappropriate.
It makes deaths

Resilience

Yes, you have fallen.
It felt like a defeat.
In time, you realize
You still have the breath of life.
Calamity has no victory.
What felt like an enormous blow
Brought you to your knees.
Determination fills your bones,
Resilience, your soul.
Broken, but not shattered,
Injured, but surviving,
Gather every ounce of life you have,
Take a deep breath,
Say a silent prayer and
Proceed!

Tear Down This Wall and Rebuild It Instead

Tear down this wall

And put an end to this

Cold War

Said the then

President of the U.S.A

Ronald Reagan

To the U.S.S.R leader

Premier Gorbachev

Only for much later on

Once the Iron Curtain

Had eventually gone

Mr Putin

Said

And rebuild it along our border

With Ukraine again instead

And for the grand opening ceremony

invite and book both

The Hoff
&
Comrade Roger

Let's Rebuild Jamaica

Take me back to the days of old,
And rich legacy that worth more than gold.
It took an entire village to raise a child,
Where they were free to roam and be wild.
The rivers and streams were free of pollution,
And the white sand beaches were for the citizens of the nation.
Now our people have been

Rebuild Your Border

My heart goes weary; shrinking,
I can't think right.
My thoughts float sinking,
It won't go filming delight.
When all we build for all,
Break into pieces and flew in dust.
We wish but it is time for rebirth!

The inner dinner of the believer,
Is a threat to standard.
The outer doubter of the sinner,

This Old House

In this house, I am swimming
  in a mud puddle, somedays
with my arms tight around you
       We backstroke
In my house there is dust
     settled overtop the daily cares
  swept aside in conversations
as

The Next Nest

claws contracted tightly
squeeze something dropped
on the forest floor
like a dark metallic tweezers
the pointed beak catches a branch
while red and nervous eyes
look everywhere
he turns the body
opens immense wings
and in a rustle of brown feathers
fly towards the treetops

at nightfall, the figure rises and disappears
fading among dark leaves
he rebuilds his castel
his refuge
his palace
his next nest

As gentle as summer rain,

Your love refreshed me.

Time was spent, memories built, secrets shared;

Until one night we lost our grip on love’s translucent game.

As fragile as a crystal glass our new love shattered as it fell from our grasp.

Too soon we tried to touch it, hold it, claim it, as our own.

Too soon for it

Rebuild With You

It's from the ground up, that we have to rebuild. Because our love is not dead but the trust has been killed. It's blood was spilled and it was laid to rest. So how do you rebuild, when no trust is left? I guess you have to start over, forgive and forget. Let go of
