Resilience
Yes, you have fallen.
It felt like a defeat.
In time, you realize
You still have the breath of life.
Calamity has no victory.
What felt like an enormous blow
Brought you to your knees.
Determination fills your bones,
Resilience, your soul.
Broken, but not shattered,
Injured, but surviving,
Gather every ounce of life you have,
Take a deep breath,
Say a silent prayer and
Proceed!
