Many thoughts are circulating through my mind
as I'm having fun with gardening games on my piece of land
In a couple of my poems, a couple of my words have been dotted out. Can I use inuendo?
Is it possible for this new poem, could I be partially banned ?

I have no desire to upset established decorum
When I post this latest poem on the Poetry Soup forum

Several of my poems relate to Australian native birds
coincidentally in this poem the bird rhymes with my old nickname DAG
We're often wet as a , or roosting on a rock
I'm referring to a bird I love it's called a shag

Their Fruits

You shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover, you see,
but by it’s fruits, you can judge a tree.
When we judge someone by their looks,
we truly judge a cover, on a book,
Now, if we judge the fruits, they bare, you see,
are these fruits, healthy and good for me.
Don’t ever judge a soul, they could be in Gods hand,
for He has many children, in every piece of land.
Those who will help you, lift your heart you see,
don’t judge a person, till you taste the fruits of their tree.

Premium Member Our Love For Our Resilient Haiti

Our love for our resilient Haiti
Remains steadfastly unconditional.
Our love for this beloved country
Remains obviously emotional.

For a quarter of a century,
The others did not do too much,
For this yesteryear paradise island.

For more than a dozen years,
The incompetent and spurious leaders,
The opponents and the exiled ones
Also ruled this precious piece of land.

So far, no significant improvement…
Corruption, theft, piratry, poverty,
Kidnappings, death, mismanagement
Lies, excuses and misery …

This is not the hell that our forefathers died for…
I can tell you more, I can prove you more.
God Almighty, there is a constant and eternal search
For real leadership, unlike the bad ones
That we have had unfortunately over the last centuries.

We are tired of seeing Haiti among the poorest countries.

Our love for Haiti
Is sadly emotional.
Our love for this poverty stricken country
Remains simply unconditional.

On the fatherhood

It's difficult to define a father precisely
So, let's imagine how a father would be
A father may be figuratively similar to these:
A starting point, a fulcrum, a roof, a piece of land
A mountain, a sky, a star, a beam of sunshine
A lamp, a mirror, a book, a guide,a set of minds,
...
I reckon a father can be similar to each of them
if he is viewed from different perspectives
However, fatherhood will not be fairly defined
If all the pieces above aren't yet combined ?

Premium Member Summer Heat

Sun is seen a flaming ball in the sky,
Darting down pointed spears of smarting beams.
Horrid heat waves, from the smoked earth, rise high.
For drops of water, the thirsty earth screams.

The waterlogged piece of land has gone dry.
The soil is arid and left cracked and parched.
Drying crops have made farmers sadly sigh.
The once lush green meadows are lying scorched.

Sun's heat, like a spiteful scorpion’s sting,
Burns, damaging the flesh and the bared skin.
The fiery tongues of humid summer fling,
Licking up the last residue of green.

The dry leaves under the feet whine and moan
Etna seethes, birds and beasts, for water groan!

ale and horses

A Horse and ale
The brewery had many horses to carry crates of beer
around to small shops, each horse and its driver was assigned a route
The horse I liked was shiny black and had been used for
funerals before
over the years, they got a bit broad hipped and stomach-heavy.
The horse knew the route and stopped outside the grocer`s and waited while
the driver unloaded crates of beer.
The horse sometimes had an ******** thinking of a favorite mare bit
strange animals only know one way and askew foreplay
The driver usually had a bottle of beer at each shop, and when
the round was done, he was in a merry mood and sometimes fell asleep. But the horse knew the way.
After unharnessing the beast, he brushed its coat, checked the hooves
for the horse, the highlight of the day, and gave it a big slice of bread.
So long ago, there had been a devastating war
Jews immigrated to Palestine
and got a piece of land they called Israel; we believed what the papers said
the persecuted people deserved a homeland, but we did not realize that it was.
A historic injustice had befallen the Palestine people and echo that will not
stop before the real Semites get their land back.

The land is not abandoned

I have a piece of land
On the top of the hills
By streams flowing and mingle
For all plants free to grow

No farmers discovered the land
No contrived seeds are sown
The field kept its virginity
Since a long time ago

Flowers blooming for bees
And fruits growing for animals
The field is not being abandoned
As time retardly goes

Beings of the mysterious light of creation appear on Earth
As the children of the universe, however,
Their skin colour differs, their hair texture is not same
Their lifestyle gets formed by their country of birth
Yet, the same blood runs in their veins
And they have in them,
The same desire to attain the mysterious light
From which they have all originated!

The paths they have to walk on are same;
They all need to find the means to survive
In a realm of temporariness which only serves
As an opportunity to atone for their previous sins
And to pray to be absolved of these
So as to be rewarded of an existence
In some place which the human eyes cannot perceive!

Yet, the stay in the realm of temporariness
Remains challenging as the children of light
Are subjected to the tests of maintaining
Their lives peaceful through the virtue of
Having tolerance for each other's differences
So much that having their flag on a piece of land
Has become the cause of ruthless violence
Which douses off their faith in the source of light!

Watching all this, the universe cries, as it only wanted
To see its children laughing while playing with each other!

The Boffin

You boffin from The Caucasus Mountains, are you a devil or human? You have destroyed my seeds, the source of my survival.

I used to grow my seeds, which gave birth to more seeds on the same piece of land, but today, you have killed my original seed.

You boffin, are you a curse or a blessing to humanity? Why have you assassinated our ecosystem, which was self-sustaining and thriving.

I never invited you to come upon my land. You have sucked out all the nutrients from my original seeds. Your goal is to see us Perish .

You boffin, are you simply a long-term liability to creation, or you are here to colonise my food by contaminating my original seeds.

What have I done to you to deserve so much evil and wickedness from you? Everywhere you go, you create chaos and miseries.

You boffin, you have brought synthetic seeds upon my land and total destruction of the natural world.

You boffin, are your acts of human or devil?

accountancy

Accountancy

It was a quiet day, I was driving around
with my camera, but not in the mood
to take pictures of my Savannah
which is today a flat piece of land between
to hills that look like the bosom
of a golden queen
I counted trees instead.
When 15, I worked in an accountancy office
mainly because my mother wanted me
to go to work wearing a suit
It was boring for relief I made numbers
into human figures, I thought 8 was cute
the boss didn't, I was fired, and my mother brought
the suit back to the second-hand shop
I went back to school and trained as a cook
on ships, that was ok, but I got bored and
the hours were long
Back to school again, I became an officer doing the books
200 bushes and trees before the bridge
the job has become superfluous,
ships have crew
usually from India, often poorly paid
The technology is called
From the bridge to the village, I counted
of Benafim, I counted 400 hundred olive trees
and 245 almond trees

No Winners

There's never a
True winner
When it comes
To War

Even when the
Battles won
Both sides have
Lost much more

Many lives
Have perished
Never to return

They leave behind
Their loved Ones
For them to
Grieve and yearn

But that won't stop
The fighting
The blood shed
That's been spilled

As long as
Their triumphant
Their mission
Is fulfilled

Then at the end
What have
You gained
A blood soaked land
That you have stained

So is it really
Worth the cost
For all the men
That you have lost

Just to gain
The upper hand
And take from them
A piece of land

Drawn Eyes of Love

I didn't hold your hand
to leave you alone
I would have a piece of land
nearby your home,
and I'll see you every day.

I didn't draw your eyes
to erase them from my heart
I would color your dreams
like you want,
and I'll make you happy anyway.

Your smile shines on my face
I am impressed,
How do you always smile?
You are blessed
and I found you on the Milky Way.

I'm hurt, but I don't feel any sore
Just let me gaze upon you
a little bit more
You know how much I love you!
And I'd melt in you this way.

Fifty flights up a fish swims by
Hundred floors up still no sky
Lady liberty points to the surface above
Same as the city of brotherly love
Mankind fighting for a piece of land
Few places left to stand
Food short supply
So many cry
Die
World is sinking fast
Mankind struggling to last
Passion is hard to find
In a world gone blind

Just One Letter

Just one letter from you that's all I ask
I know our romance was way in the past
Strong promises you made before you left
A letter each week, you'd give me your best

They said you were among all the missing
I was told no more, it was a secret mission
If we had married like you wanted us too
A family I'd have, but just loneliness I brew

Everyone thinks I'm a foolish old lady
Possibly even a little bit kinda crazy
Truth be told life is stranger than fiction
I'm sticking with my one true conviction

Somewhere out there you might still be alive
With this thought every day is how I thrive From this little piece of land I'll never move
No better way my eternal love for you I prove

Is Putin going Kaput
He has morbid losers look
Some Russian soldiers have had enough,
Of this slaughter and murder stuff
Whatever they were fighting for
They are weary, sick of war
They can no longer understand
Why they are fighting for a piece of land
A land where fellow Russian dwell
Putin has made a living hell
Putting his comrades at risk
Naughty Putin Tsk, Tsk, Tsk.
You deserve that worried frown,
You have let your country down
I don't think you will have a friend
When you meet your tragic end.
One thing that is becoming clear
There will be no winners here,
Win or lose: It was all for nil
I pray it's you who swallow the pill
The pill that tastes very bitter
And it makes you a dummy spitter!
