Premium Member Twelve Bells at Midnight

In the vortex of a maelstrom, I was rudely thrown
drowning in turbulent waters for an error I bemoan,
a blunder of loving someone who chose to whittle
away at my heart until it became fragile and brittle

Bereft beyond the point of caring if I lived or died
My eyes were scarlet, burning from tears I'd cried
But they became transfixed, immutable on a fire stoked
for my normally tenuous demeanor had been provoked

I was a genteel lady, who demurely acquiesced to love
but it was time for me to throw down the gauntlet glove
I was chaffed by what had been just an interlude for him,
an escapade, a mere dalliance, a rascally romantic whim

I drew a rough sketch; in likeness of my vagabond swain
an abstract portrait, in Picasso's style, the face of my bane
Black eyes were hollow, blind orbs that would never see
that his trifling peccadillo tryst was a brutal betrayal to me

The painting was delivered as twelve bells pealed midnight
I watched as he unwrapped it, but carefully kept out of sight
A formidable opponent I had become to his knavish ways
In the moonlight his face turned pale; his eyes were glazed

Premium Member Armadillo, Peccadillo

Armadillo,
peccadillo,
armored, slow, but
sneaky fellow
when confronted,
rather yellow
some say, very
cute!

Armadillo
peccadillo,
leprosy and
such diseases
not aggressive,
somewhat mellow
he's a nasty
brute!

Armadillo,
peccadillo,
please stay in the
open fields, not
tearing up my
daffodils and
nibbling to the
root!

Armadillo,
peccadillo,
please return to
Amarillo,
and even though
you travel slow,
now skedaddle,
scoot!

Premium Member A Perspicacious Chickadee

My peripatetic parrot went to sea
where he met a perspicacious chickadee

He courted her a bit too parsimoniously
For this peccadillo, she ensured he couldn't pee

Slow Down

Slow down!

 Pet peccadillo
Takes sharp corners far too fast
 Drives me round the bend!

Beatify

Every day is different, there is something new
I grow fonder, deeper in to you
Every day is a new dawn
My heart is reborn
Every day, in every way
I need nothing more

Candles softly burning
Flames dance with each breath we take
It’s the rhythm of love surrender
It’s where strings can never break

Fruity days and juicy nights
Luscious moments never die
Sad Peccadillo drifts away
For our love is beatify

The Inquited Me

Dear Lord, I am not of worth,
To be in your presence henceforth,
I have sinned and done wrong,
Indulged in peccadillo for so long,
Here I am on my bent knees,
Hear my cry, let my heart be at peace,
Cleanse me ooh Lord, let me live your way.

As a human, temptations come,
I try to resist but am overcame,
The devil is working overtime,
To see me fall and sin all the time,
But in you I trust and believe,
No matter what, you will give me a relieve,
Cleanse me ooh Lord, let me live your way.

Without you Jehovah, all is meaningless,
Without your say, all is worthless,
A journey minus you is planless,
A life without you is senseless,
Intervene dear Abba father,
Guide me; teach me, for the better,
Cleanse me ooh Lord, let me live your way.

As paul and sila, let me be prayerful,
As Danny, Shaddy, Mesh&Abeddy, let me be faithful,
May your grace be with me,
May your Holy word always guide me,
Thanks for your unending goodness
And your willing forgiveness,
Cleanse me ooh Lord, let me live your way.

DAISY BRAIN

Clever is the chime
Beating over head
     This poem has a rhyme
     That digs a flower bed
Daisy sewn on a pillow brain
As a crow flies overhead
     Merely a peccadillo
     As she counts the dead

Graphical Conceptualizations

'Twas like imagery or perhaps deja'vu
air quotations or a hallucination,
naught tangible to the naked eye
but an echoing of whirlwinds,
mere beginning of an expansion
tucked aside noncommittal whispers
reverberating discorporate shadows
on dividers of processing graphics,
rough drafts' emphatic intimation
of intrusively summoned reckonings
referencing old featured impressions,
mid-escape concentrated faculties'
unfocused low-density frequencies,
betwixt susceptibility’s magnifiers
orbiting bout night-crawlers' psyche,
whilst darkly territorial distractions
evolve beyond unforeseen influences,
farthermost assertion's revisionary
assemblages divulging conceals,
structured within framework
unrelentingly penetrative,
drawn-out, long agone
 an unreceptive peccadillo

Premium Member 'the Peccadillo of Others'

footpaths so many of them
wondering what route
would take him the closest
if the effort
put in would be worth it in the end
would she be willing to trust him
with her most precious gift
a priceless one so delicate

that need a little care
that extra attention
to start beating again

he had no crystal ball
he had no glimpse of the future
all he had was his heart
on his sleeve
and the little ways
to show her that not all
of them are the same
not all of them
will just walk away
without trying to understand

all he wanted
was the chance
to be the one
she always wished for
without having to pay
for the sins of the others
that came before him…

The Heard Tale Retold-I

You have heard the tale,
That is couched in wails,
There was a beautiful girl,
Who swished her skirts in a swirl,
Impressed a prince,
Looked deep in his eyes,
And went for a spin,
They were in love,
Like two forlorn doves,
They hid their moorings well,
Before hell broke pell mell,
The king came to know peccadillo of his son,
He straight went for his royal gun,
Not satisfied at that,
He caught the poor girl alone and flat,
Looking at the insolence of love,
In the girl’s eyes,
King froze in anger and decided to vent his might,
He ordered for the girl to be buried alive,
And she was buried as she shed tears in hapless drive,
She flagellated and struggled her tiny frame,
But could not help the mighty pain,
Those muscled executioners,
Pinned her down,
As the mason completed his rounds,
Epitaphed and buried ,
The girl was a forgotten play for the prince,
Who frolicked along making his way to throne.
