Our magical threads

Our magical threads
By Michelle Morris
20/09/2026

This family tree
Not a perfect history
Blessings and curses
Always our reality

An ancient line
Our magical threads
Seeds sown deep
Grown to perfection

The mystery
The stories old
Love torn apart
Curses unfolded

Sisterly love
Family ties
Mothers and fathers
Loved ones who died

This history
We can't repeat
Time to break the curse
To bleed for freedom

Our blood we spill
Combining our hands
Destroying the darkness
Changes time and sands

That hourglass
We just reversed
Love overcame
Our family curse

And you and me
Our love and light
Forever expanded
To win the fight

Premium Member Reflections of my childhood days SK

Whispers as I hurriedly pass them by.
Whispers that could really make me cry.

Those whispers filled my head with doubt.
I didn’t realize what being poor was all about.

Whispers about the clothes that I wore.
Whispers as if it was a crime to be poor.

Rumors were rife in the school yard.
Those whispers really did make life hard.

Invited to parties, I didn’t want to go.
All snickering. Did they think I didn’t know?

I knew bringing a gift of a potted plant wasn’t right.
Their whispers didn’t even wait till I was out of sight.

Whispers continued when I was a young teen.
The rumors got worse, the whispers were mean.

Slowly but surely, I overcame their sneers.
Learning to be proud of who I am, over the years.

Now and always in my heart I will keep,
Whispers from my Dad "We love you" each night as I fell asleep.

As An "Excuse:"
     'Normal'--
I Found It Laying
Where "No Excuse
Is Enough..." Resides(?)

Not "Resident," Actually...
But A Crumb-Bum, A Scoff-Law...
You Know, "The Guest Who Just
Makes Himself At Home..."
Like Burrows In, Makes A Nest
Wherever He's At... There, That
SPOT. Room At The Inn...
Without The Excuse.
Because No Excuse Enough...

It's Not PRIDE! It Isn’t
Normal.

Just Out Of Curiosity,
Hmmm.

Hummingbird.

Jesus Came

Jesus came to seek
Jesus came to save,
Jesus came to seek and save
Those lost in hopeless ways.

It was no easy work to do
All evil strong opposed Him
In all ways tempted just like us
No evil overcame Him.

On Calvary He died
Paid the price for all our sins
Rose again victorious
In triumph from the grave.

And now He gives to me the task
To seek and save the lost
Forgiveness free to share with all
My Jesus paid the cost!

“The Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”
Luke 19:10

BAPTIZED IN GLORY

What a blessed day.
With Jordan River spirit,
I overcame much:-
On my Noah’s Ark of life,
Redemptive waters were sailed.

Sticks and Stones

I faced the demons of my past,
only upon myself, judgement I cast.
To clear to clean, and to understand,
the true workings of my hand.
To grow, to flourish and to shine,
as I now make the present mine.
Only in the moment, I choose to live,
only of myself, judgement I give.
To keep God alive, and upon His throne,
to keep my heart from turning to stone.
Each one I faced, I also overcame,
with all its sorrows, hurts and pain.
With this knowledge and wisdom, you see,
from the demons of the past, I am set free.
To be able to see, to know and to understand,
the true workings of our hand.
Sticks and stones will break your bones, and words destroy the heart,
the truth reveals our wrongs,
and shows us how to start.

Forever Erased

I have faced my past and overcame it’s pain,
through all the heart aches, and the darkness reign.
I faced my lies, and the webs I had weaved,
when I was shown, I had been deceived.
I seen the truth, for the light does shine,
so I faced my past and I made it mine.
Without the truth, in our life you see,
how we truly live, in our own misery.
But with forgiveness, filled with Mercy and Grace,
my sins of the past have been erased.
We desire the truth, so I search it out,
for in the truth, there is never doubt.
Man may never be willing to forgive you see,
but I faced my past, and I have been set free.
Only by Gods forgiveness, His Mercy and Grace,
can we truly, our past, forever erase.

She went to war against her foe,
A battle until the end,
A battle of spite against her will,
A battle inside her head,

You see, dying was what her brain wanted,
To kill her from inside,
But then she stood against her mind,
And refused to f###ing die,

She grew her venom, her malicious spite,
Became fully self-aware,
Ate good food, slept all night,
Mastering self-care,

She did everything her brain hated,
Until all those thoughts had died,
She beat her foe in her private war,
When she overcame her mind.

Subconscious Mind

Calm… relax… pressure easing down
A new sensation I have found
I see now it was my subconscious thoughts
but I pushed through the anxiety and fought
I took back control of my body and mind
released the fear I had left behind
I overcame it, I broke the chain
stopped stress from running through my veins
Don’t become a victim to the subconscious mind
It can take over if you leave it behind
Its effects can feel so real in time
Like shadows pretending to be the mind
not truth, not healing, not what is real
Just thoughts that try to bend what you feel
So choose your peace and hold it tight
and you can win the inner fight

Birth of the Unfortunate

One hour of life.
That's all he had,
The only thing the world gave him,
The only thing he knew.

That boy,
innocent, beautiful and clueless
Unwelcomed by the world,
Bombarded with hatred and pain,
Almost as if he absorbed the world's resentment,

But why?…
Why must He do this?…
Why must he bear our mistakes-
Our sins?

One hour,
Each tick
Robbed the boy of his life,
I watched it pass
I saw it wither,
Shriveled.

Despite that fact
the boy smiled-
It wasn’t childlike,
But one that knew more than I,
I felt as if I were a kid.

Although sadness overcame me,
I too smiled,
I felt warm,
safe—
reassured-
Reassured that everything was okay.

His life,
His life, although it was depressing-
His life was beautiful,
It felt longer than just one hour,
It was more than just his time,
It felt as if his life was larger,
His life had meaning,

Despite his small sentence,
I was relieved,

In his death,
selfishly—
I felt peace.

Watch him work

Watch him work

Sometimes you can't see
Sometimes you can't view
The Greatness
Thats within you
Sometimes we are unsure of what to do
Like a mystery no clue
We've over came
So much the happiness ,the hurt
The Lord not through with us
Lets watch him work

Watch him work
Its your season
The Lord wants a reason
To keep pouring
And watch you keep growing

You put in work
You put in tears
You have survived all these years
You didnt loose hope
Overcame fears
Thats a big deal
You righted your wrongs
You became so strong
He challenged you to be you
The one he made so unique and true

Watch him work
Its your season
The Lord wants a reason
To keep pouring
And watch you keep growing

Watch him
Wait
Have the faith
Its time for us
To sit and back and let him work

Watch him work
Its your season
The Lord wants a reason
To keep pouring
And watch you keep growing
(Repeat until chorus fades)

The Tomb

Sometimes regret holds me like my first love
So when true love crossroads
I can never picture a cross that rose
For me
I need to fast more
But my pedal only hits the floor
For the wrong doors
Then my knees hit the bottom
Repentance cycles
Feeling like a hamster but
I'm learning to let Jesus take the wheel
Thy kingdom come thy will be done
Sometimes shame is the only one,
that holds me right
His arms still stretched but
I rather stretch the truth
Like you didn't bleed red letters
I keep trying to blot grace
As if I could ever stop the bleeding of sin
As if you didn't see my imperfections and hug them
The tomb isn’t evidence of death but
The seed of hope
Make sure you have a hunger for God
It will bless your spirit
Your spirit feeds the mind
The mind feeds the body
So I will fill my temple with Proverbs
That poem a path for life
A perfect love kissing imperfection
Then when I look in the mirror
I will see transformation from glory to glory
A reflection of the resurrection
He got up so I know nothing can hold me down
Life never gets any easier but there is one who overcame the world
p.s. do you know Him…

A note to My Gods

I know I have been faltering
Depression overcame me
I have to repair your altar
And show you kindness,
Like you have done

Oh, to be strong like Thor,
Or fighting against unjust, like Tyr
Or to be wise like Odin
And sit in the walls of Valhalla

But if I die,
I will be fighting.
I will be fighting my own demons

Premium Member When The Hindu Priest Met The Medicine Woman

Though their highest potential destiny
May or may never become a part of reality,
Their transcendent love helped them see
All of their paths in which they can be free.

Though there were chances they never met,
They overcame days once filled with regret.
They had to learn through pain and lessons,
They had to accept they had confessions.

They had to find their true selves firsthand,
Then find each other in an ancient land.
The aspiring Hindu sage found a woman:
Always followed her intuition, did all she can.

Whenever this medicine woman spoke,
Something ancient deep within him reawoke.
She fully realized her powers in his presence,
Then he realized what is true love's essence.

When there was nowhere to go,
there was someone to follow.
A quiet little town with friends all around,
being with you was more comforting.

Headless chickens in the tall grass,
giants leaping from the mile high trees.
one plus one, plus two plus one.
More rascals getting rambunctious.

Some were protective, others were hungry.
We all would feel restless,
and some nights we called it quits.
But when we got back up, we were unstoppable.

Accomplishing so much to feed our pride,
training for the unexpected.
I’m so grateful for all we’ve achieved.
Each of you has a special place in my heart.

With your acceptance of me, and your trust in me,
We overcame countless hurdles.
If given a second chance, I would do it all over again.
Part of the journey is the end,
thank you for choosing me.
