Remembering Dad this evening. What a man he was! Always did right by his family and his country. Overcame many obsticles to become sucessful. I suspect he has heaven squared away by now.... Happy Father's Day Dad! I'll see you when I get there. <3

As I made my way through the valleys,
climbed the tallest summits,
I battled my personal demons,

I found strength in my courage
And courage in my heart.
I discovered a new me.
I know I have been faltering
Depression overcame me
I have to repair your altar
And show you kindness,
Like you have done
Oh, to be strong like Thor,
Or fighting against unjust, like Tyr
Or to be wise like Odin
And sit in the walls of Valhalla
But if I die,
I will be fighting.
I will be fighting my own demons
I wished you could feel the same feeling, but it was not reciprocal.
Your heart belong to another. I understood. You cannot say to your
heart whom to love. It was heartbreaking, but it was overcame.
I wished you all the best. Although, I don't know if someday I will find
someone who loves me, I will start by loving myself first.

before me yet,

It taunted me this day
as I ached for its use,
but retreated from it.
Monday called to me
as work became priority,
but my focus was still
on it and its power.
Oh why!
The bittersweet
agony of knowing soon,
but never soon enough,

as this day dragged
into a week of
sacrificed time.
