OPTIMIZING BONDING DELIGHT

Basking under celestial rays
there we are…
mother and son 
beyond hope-filled mirth
jubilantly surmount 
imprisoning boundaries...
since special child 
freely wheels himself
to optimize bonding delight
midst God’s boundless grace...
while I plunge into faith-flight
beholding his courage
wondrously liberating.

The Dream

He races aggressively from task to task,
churning through projects and products and pay.
Optimize, order, overdeliver.
Improve! For fast fades the day ...

You'd think he bores easy and can't sit still,
can't admire slow pleasures of life.
And you know it's pride or fear that drives him,
though he claims most of it's for a wife.

But you're wrong ... in his heart -
hooked up to adrenaline drips -
he fights for a dream of utter tranquility:
holding her, kissing her eager lips.

Slow love in a garden of beauty sublime.
No more pain. No progress of matter.
Just two hearts caught up in excelsior spirals,
while soul-bursting tears freely spatter ...

surmounting challenges
of spiritual trek
always!

Carrying knapsack for well-doing* pursuits
let’s strive to reach the promised land
seizing reaching-out opportunities
offered by the Lord
now!

Blest with faith-packed knapsack along heavenly journey
let’s optimize power from the Holy Spirit
fulfilling sovereign great commission 
while sharing the Gospel with love
ceaselessly!

Thankful to the Saviour for blessings’ knapsack
let’s constantly advance kingdom of Christ
marching upward despite hardships
by faith, accomplishing 
quitting never!

Sharing kindness with others from grace-filled knapsack

Dancing In Clover

While strolling down life's garden path
Oft I've stopped to admire the roses,
I've carefully avoided the scourge of wrath
Considered the deep concerns life poses,
And reached the conclusion to do my best
I must optimize my determination to give
As though each new day is a coveted test
During which I must practice how to live
More productively, comfortable in my skin,
Happily enjoying the talents God has given
Maintaining ties with friends, kith, and kin,
Seldom feeling unduly pressured or driven.
Someday when my time on earth is over
And I go on to whatever reward is mine,
I can say with a smile, I've danced in clover
As far as I'm concerned everything's fine.

Life-Building Shovel

Wondrous life, indeed miraculous
authored by the Creator
designed with sovereign plan
commences toward triumphant fulfillment...
through my mission as life-building shovel.

Babyhood beams with hope 
as God's gift, "bundle of joy" so-called
fruit of love from mother’s womb
greets thankful family midst serenity bliss...
to thrive along my nurturing shovel's diligence.   

Love-filled nourishing home prospers childhood 
against growing up pains along mirth-filled adventures
bracing adolescence might of curiosity-driven pursuits
to optimize freedom-propelled exploits...
by my persistence as shovel of development.

Between sweet charm and bitter harm of choice
adulthood radiates grace to celebrate
upon service-impact and kindness-influence glow
sharing achievements of great blessings...
while my labour as harvester's shovel needs refurbishing.

As departure time comes
legacy is prayed-for to remain
verily endowed well, by the grace of the Lord
begetting another grand life...
with me witnessing jubilanty --- old shovel of service.

Childhood Naughtiness

Childhood naughtiness midst innocence-glow…
my special son exudes such with glad show
unmindful of “Mother’s Dos and Don’ts” blow
in his sign language, “Yes, I can follow”
asserted by prevailing thumbs-up flow.

Persisting to optimize freedom zest
he drives his wheelchair with maximized best…
playful insistence of naughtiness-crest
turning room toward messy toy-filled nest
as balls and blocks are seen from east to west.

With his contagious laughter of delight
while basking in exuberant bath sprite…
my child of innocent naughtiness blight
keeps on wetting me despite gracious plight
affirming well that I will be alright.

My heart thanks God for granting patience-gain
and wisdom, too, along rearing terrain…
when counseled due to naughtiness-caused pain 
my son gestures “I’m sorry” with smile-stain
acknowledging that at home, peace* should reign.
